Hey guys. Currently playing Provost Marchand's line of quest on a blueside mid 30s. I'm travelling with three NPCs: Pendragon, Grant Creston and Aurora Pena. One of them repeatedly uses a power that starts a bit like Earth Control's earthquake but that shakes the whole motherfriggin screen for a solid 6-8 seconds like my monitor is having a baby with a smoothie blender. It. Is. Irritating. (Can't wait to see the baby)

Well, I always re-die when I use awakens. I'm probably just not skilled enough to use them properly. I never claimed to be a skilled player. I just love the game. Ok. Guys. This will be the first time I kinda-sorta lose my temper since I joined these forums but I need to say this. You know guys. I like reading this part of the forum because there are some really nice ideas there from times to times. I don't think I've ever suggested anything because I'm really not good at this. But I like reading. Granted, some ideas are not as good, but there are some genuine nice ones. Unfortunately, it sometimes feels like this section has become a pissing contest to determine who can come up with the edgiest way to rebuke any and all ideas. If you don't like an idea, say you don't like it. Come up with an alternative if you can, or don't if the idea is simply too ludicrous. But it's just that: an idea. It's not like everything that is asked here will be automatically implemented. We're all the same community. Let's be excellent to each other. Sorry if this offended anyone. I just really like this place so I do what I can to preserve it.

I for one think this is a really neat idea. Though I have no idea how feasible it is in terms of coding. Because yes, the way they are now, Awakens are only usable on teams. Unless you have a Break free, a Luck, a Respite, good timing and a LOT of personal luck.

I didn't know that specific bit. Interesting! OP: this also means that if you want to sell something NOW, put a very low price on it and you will still score the highest bid. Be warned though that it's not because an item has say, 800 bids that they are all good bids. Lots and lots of people park lowball bids on alts and just leave them there so you might end up selling something that is worth 5M for only 500K or worse. (Very popular items are less a risk in that department). This also means that if you want to be sure you have a certain sale price, you will need to adjust, but doing so means you might not sell fast AND you will pay the ~10% to the system. It's always a balance of timing, risk and patience.

Don't be so serious guys, it's just a fun game 🙂 I'm looking for the most fun combo, not necessarily the more efficient one. I know that attack chains are what every serious player aims for but, if my life with a character amounts to spamming the two same buttons, I will go mad 😄

We need a topic that compiles must-do AE arcs. And yes, early game content (as in, released in the first few issues) can be very, very drab. It was replaced by a few nice quality arcs in more recent releases but some of the first contacts? Yeesh.

Hello beautiful people. Recently re-fell in love with Claws, my Claw/Bio brute is levelling like nobody's business. I want to try the Claw / Rad combo. Not on a stalker obviously because Stalkers, however awesome as a general rule, sucked all life out of Claws. So this leaves us with Scrappers, Brutes and Tankers. What would be the pros and cons of each? Thanks!

Lots and lots of people get lots and lots of things just because of who they are. Bribes are a good example. But yeah that was the joke. It made me smile when "millions of inf in damage" was mentioned. Influence is a clever currency for a superhero game but that the fact that you buy things with it always sounds silly to me.

Someone in this topic was mentioning a scenario where a bomb went off in IP Port and among other consequences: MILLIONS OF INF WORTH OF DANAGE!! My first thought? Millions? Really? @Yomo Kimyata can fix this without even blinking. Like, "I heard you lost a city zone. Here's the money for a new one. Bye." (In all fairness, most of ebil marketers could afford Independence Port without too much effort)

Died three times in the first mission so far. Edit : Five times. This is getting a tad annoying, I downgraded from x4+1 to x2+0 and I'm still getting owned.

The people I used to play with (RL friends) never bothered to read mission text. They just wanted to demolish things, get new powers and be done when they grew fed up from repetition. And then went back to do the same 5 dailies Ad Nauseam on WoW. They kept saying "this game has no story anyways". Me? I read the quest text. I just finished the story arc for Diviner Maros and that last room with the Freakshow cult and the huge freakin stone jaws in the last room really made me feel nervous. When the story makes you forget that you can just respawn and retry, the mood goes through the roof. Now I'm in Praetoria, striking with a critically wounded Mr. G in his burning lab. I can't wait to know what's going to happen next. I'm playing the main character in an awesome comic book. This game is amazing. Get out of AE your farms and go read some mission text. Now. (Or stay there, whatever floats your boat)

All makes sense. Kinda sucks that you have to take Swipe as a tanker though.

I tried different sauces and flavors in the last three days. Made about... 600-700 Millions without too much effort, bit I find it's an added bonus to roulette at lease 2-3 times if you get something you know will sell for 500K only. It's easy to get a bunch of 1.5-2 millions transactions if you put just a tiny little effort. And it keeps the market healthy. If everyone and their sister outputs nothing but LOTG, not only will the profits go down, the other sets will cost too much on the market.

Funny you should say that. Claws was my very very first CoH character back on early live but by then, I didn't understand the game and it wasn't as fleshed out as it is now so, I didn't enjoy it much. This time, I enjoyed it SO MUCH I decided to check the Stalker version because I LOVE stalkers. And they I cried, internally. (But those were manly tears). No focus, no spin. They sucked the fun out of claws. So then, what would another AT-Combo be to utterly enjoy Claws? Because i will want a second one for sure.
