I’m a fool and forgot that I ran an Elec/Elec/Elec Sent… honestly it was a sapping God. I haven’t pulled it out since the Sentinel changes though.

You know, I loved it on a Tanker just because my main goal was to be UNKILLABLE. Funnily enough, my buddy did the same combo on a Stalker and it was hilarious that he was just a Howitzer from group to group 😂 tons of chaos when we duo’d with those two haha

Hi heroes, Fun thing at an event tonight with my son. A random question was asked to the group of boys: if you had any power, what would it be? His answer was “Electric Superpowers.” He is a big Pikachu and Thor fan 😂 It made me think: what Electrical powersets do you enjoy the most/make you feel the most powerful? It doesn’t need to be an Elec/Elec combo, just so long as one of the powersets is electric based! Some for me are: Shield/Elec Tanker: With the electric shield. My first 50 on HC, and honestly one of the most “fun per click” heroes ever. Shield Charge + Lightning Rod truly makes you feel like a God. Thermal/Elec Defender: My latest project. The idea is that the electricity generates the heat. Seems like a great Jack of all trades combo. Elec/Elec Defender: Only lv 32, but seems like a beastly team toon. My only “all in” on Electric combo. Savage/Elec Brute: Thing is a blender. Savage Melee’s DOTS paired with Electric DOT is a very nice synergy. I have yet to run an Electric Armor Tanker, but I hear they are pretty beastly. I’d love to hear yours!

I know you were pumped from the changes! Any combos you’ve really liked recently? I’m running a Water/Regen currently and the thing is SUPER solid.

Great info from you both. Outside of Fiery Melee (which seems very strong) what are some secondaries you feel pair well with Fire Armor?

I dig the build. In your opinion, how is Fire Armor after it’s changes a while back? Better, or more of a net neutral gain? I know it’s always been the more “offensive” tanker primary that isn’t quite as sturdy as others, but I’m wondering if that has changed at all. I hear that it is one of the premier Tanker sets on the new HM content, with a team backing it.

Hi heroes, I'm trying to stand on the shoulders of those much better than me 😛 I've settled on Thermal/Elec as a Defender build that I feel is a really solid jack of all trades. Mids isn't working with my Mac, so I was wondering if someone had a build they'd be willing to share for me to use as a base? I appreciate it!

I LOVE this. My KM/Ice Stalker, Cryo Strider, is a Cryomancer/Sub-Zero with everything colored blue-white. My Psi/Shield Scrapper Aegis-Blade is an energy warrior with the energy shield and all the energy blade attacks (why Psi fits for the concept). The fact that I’m interested in the background of their powers is what makes them so fun to me. I do get it and I’m guilty of wanting an “UBER” strong hero myself. After this time though, I found it just as fun to take some lesser used combos and make them as Uber as you can. It’s also cool that you don’t really see too many other heroes with your set up haha.

I like this mentality. AAO + Soul Drain probably gets you to to the damage cap on a Scrapper really fast.

Haha great TED Talk! Someone mentioned something to me before and I’m not sure if it’s true: does shield have different DDR values between a Scrapper and a Tanker? I felt like Active Defense was the same for both.

Any way you could copy and paste the build out? Sorry, Mids isn’t jiving with my Mac.

I was thinking that as well. The extra AOE on TOF and Shadow Maul is pretty nice on a Tanker. I’m wondering if it really stands out as a “tank among tanks” though. I do feel the combo stands out among Scrappers. And I like the buzzsaw stuff 😂

Hi all, I ran this combo on a Scrapper back on live and it was just so synergistic. A true “do it all Scrapper.” Thinking of rolling it again on Homecoming. My question is though: would you still run it on a Scrapper, or on a Tanker? AAO and Shield in general seems great on a Scrapper. However, tankers get the added AOE on Shadow Maul and Touch of Fear. I’d love to hear thoughts/suggestions!

I had a friend who would farm with this combo! Not the fastest, of course, but it got the job done and looked like a ton of fun.

Absolutely. Staff and KM both shine on Stalkers. That hasn’t stopped me from having a Tanker with both though, since they’re awesome 😂

My KM/Ice Stalker is my all time favorite. Just so much fun and great synergy.

How strong is that taunt aura? In line with the others? I could see Melee Hybrid not being that bad either. This is a good option.

Yeah I believe @SomeGuyand @BrandX tested the slow enhance option, but it didn’t pan out. I get it I guess, since it’s almost as if it’d have EVERYTHING if it did. I think it only really matters a ton if you plan on soloing a lot. If you primarily team, it’s not a huge deal.

Great reason to run this combo. Plus… it is stupidly tough while dishing out a ton of damage. Only negative to me is it’s lack of a taunt aura.

I have a Dark/Staff, I could see Dark/Kin being just a beastly. Probably have to go Cardiac for Alpha…. Which is fine, since it’ll be fully teaming. And I could color the KM powers Black/Grey to go along with the Dark theme… almost like Shadow control. Ohhhhhh now the wheels are spinning lol
