This. My Psi/Shield Scrapper is one of my favorite damage dealers to bring on tough ITF’s. I wish Insight wasn’t so wonky, but when it lines up…. The thing CHUNKS.

I love Dark Armor so much (have a DA/Staff Tanker) I just wish it wasn't so end heavy 😭 Concept wise, I always think it is sweet on a Scrapper, if not optimal.

DP is pretty straight forward, but would you say TA requires a lot of binds and stuff in order to play effectively?

I do like that the proc’d build allows you to still leverage combos (which is just cool). Probably the way I’ll go until they nuke procs, if they ever do.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying Thrax. So I’m guessing max recharge for the the attack chain I stated above will still put DPS traditional combos?

Necro a bit, but I wanted to clarify this: DB’s combos can’t miss now? Does that make it so standard combos can match the DPS of BF > AS > SS > AS?

I personally run Stone Armor on a scrapper due to Brimstone being able to crit AND I like their T9 Geode more. That being said, if you want a Taunt aura, go Brute. Scrappers and Stalkers don’t get it. @InvaderStych has sang the praises of Stone on a Stalker though, and has me seriously considering running one there because why not? Ninja Blade/Stone Armor could be sweet.

I like this take. I typically love having a damage aura. That being said, when you’re on an character like a stalker where your goal is to just take out the biggest, baddest target ASAP… I can see why a damage aura may lose it’s value.

This is outstanding, thanks man! A lot of that makes sense as well! I’m more of a “scrapper” at heart, BUT the Stalker changes QUITE a while back I feel really made them much more “Scrappery.” I only really have one Stalker, my beloved KM/Ice Armor. Ran that combo on a Stalker because I felt it’s where it shined the most. Would love to try and do the same with Stone Armor (so long as I can find a concept). Fiery Melee seems cool since the revamp, and we all know how strong EM is. StJ, Psi Melee (which I know we both love) and Ninja Blade also stood out to me. Edit: Hell, Ice Melee and Stone Melee both look like they’d work great as well.

Both fair points. I’ve recently rolled a Claws/Stone Scrapper I’m having a blast with. Going to have to think of what primary would go well with Stone Armor on a Stalker!

I’ve heard you sing it’s praises! What do you think makes in shine on a Stalker over a Scrapper?

No this makes sense. I had the same thought on Time Juncture. I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something I was REALLY missing since I see MOST Time Defenders I’ve played with are grounded.

Hey squad, I want to design a Time/Water Defender for tough content, but I’m torn. For those with Time Manipulation experience, do you play it hover style or no? Hover is most likely safer, BUT Time has PBAOE’s and Auras that I feel reward it for being on the ground and more “in your face” style of Defender. I’d love to hear your experiences and how you feel it works best.

Elec Affin/Water Defender seems SUPER active, but I bet it’s a blast.

A ton of people love Elec/Elec Sents apparently. Makes sense, they’re sturdy and fun. Between Elec’s T9 and Ion, you feel like you’re dropping the hammer on pretty much every group of baddies haha

I’m a fool and forgot that I ran an Elec/Elec/Elec Sent… honestly it was a sapping God. I haven’t pulled it out since the Sentinel changes though.

You know, I loved it on a Tanker just because my main goal was to be UNKILLABLE. Funnily enough, my buddy did the same combo on a Stalker and it was hilarious that he was just a Howitzer from group to group 😂 tons of chaos when we duo’d with those two haha

Hi heroes, Fun thing at an event tonight with my son. A random question was asked to the group of boys: if you had any power, what would it be? His answer was “Electric Superpowers.” He is a big Pikachu and Thor fan 😂 It made me think: what Electrical powersets do you enjoy the most/make you feel the most powerful? It doesn’t need to be an Elec/Elec combo, just so long as one of the powersets is electric based! Some for me are: Shield/Elec Tanker: With the electric shield. My first 50 on HC, and honestly one of the most “fun per click” heroes ever. Shield Charge + Lightning Rod truly makes you feel like a God. Thermal/Elec Defender: My latest project. The idea is that the electricity generates the heat. Seems like a great Jack of all trades combo. Elec/Elec Defender: Only lv 32, but seems like a beastly team toon. My only “all in” on Electric combo. Savage/Elec Brute: Thing is a blender. Savage Melee’s DOTS paired with Electric DOT is a very nice synergy. I have yet to run an Electric Armor Tanker, but I hear they are pretty beastly. I’d love to hear yours!

I know you were pumped from the changes! Any combos you’ve really liked recently? I’m running a Water/Regen currently and the thing is SUPER solid.

Great info from you both. Outside of Fiery Melee (which seems very strong) what are some secondaries you feel pair well with Fire Armor?

I dig the build. In your opinion, how is Fire Armor after it’s changes a while back? Better, or more of a net neutral gain? I know it’s always been the more “offensive” tanker primary that isn’t quite as sturdy as others, but I’m wondering if that has changed at all. I hear that it is one of the premier Tanker sets on the new HM content, with a team backing it.

Hi heroes, I'm trying to stand on the shoulders of those much better than me 😛 I've settled on Thermal/Elec as a Defender build that I feel is a really solid jack of all trades. Mids isn't working with my Mac, so I was wondering if someone had a build they'd be willing to share for me to use as a base? I appreciate it!
