Impressive numbers! I run a Shield/Elec myself and it is just a ton of fun. @One IV All, I was chatting with @Ston yesterday and he pointed out how strong Fire Melee currently is on Tankers. @Warboss has said good things about it as well. You should check it out!

I’d call on @Hyperstrike as he has created some pretty crazy Elec armor builds and could weigh in on Brute vs Tanker. He could also probably let you know which attack set would pair better on either archetype. I personally ran his CEBR (Claws/Elec Brute) and the thing is a blender.

Love al those combos. I haven’t taken my Shield/Elec on a 4 Star yet. It was my first 50 on HC. So much fun. I feel like the combo would do well in HM stuff though and wondering why I haven’t taken it for a spin yet 😂

Yeah, love my Water/Cold. Amazing debuffs. Currently leveling a Thermal/Elec. I think Thermal strikes a REALLY nice balance of buffing and debuffing.

It is just so layered defensively AND brings extra damage. Honestly, if it had a taunt aura on a Scrapper, it’d be perfect.

Just started my own Water/Regen Sent, and I’m loving it.

Curious: what Scrapper combo are you using?

Shield Charge + Mass Levitate is tons of fun.

How does it play?

So my Psi/Shield Scrapper has a Green Lantern costume and I did JUST this haha. Additionally, I have an all human PB that, when recolored, works pretty well as a GL.

Dark Melee/Shield is a classic pairing. @Murcielago has a build floating around. @InvaderStych and I have both rocked a Psi Melee/Shield scrapper, which really wins on style points. BS/Shield is aesthetically one of the coolest looking combos. Hard to beat Sword and Board. The combo FEELS like a Scrapper to me, but I would almost want to run it as a Tanker since I’m more likely to pick up Taunt there….and the taunt animation when you have a sword and shield is pretty sweet. I believe @SomeGuy has put together some nice BS/Shield builds.

Fire/Time seem to have a lot of synergy on a Corruptor, with Time having ways to slow enemies and keep them in fire’s rains. I’ve always thought when I eventually ran a Fire Corruptor, it’d be a Fire/Kin. Fire/Time has to be in consideration as well.

I've been slow leveling a Time/Rad Defender and it's been a blast. It very much feels like a "Scrappy" Defender that jumps right in there with Tanks. Rad Blast takes some -res procs, which helps with damage, and Time is a nice mix of tools. Not sure how it'll hold up to endgame/hard mode content yet, but it's been great leveling so far. Just a bit End heavy.

The reasons you mentioned are why I love my KM/Ice Stalker. Not that it’s OP in anyway, but because it’s two rarely played sets that I feel are really optimized on a Stalker. How do you like your Ice Armor Stalker?

This is specifically Invuln, correct? I know you probably can’t hit max resists on Shield, BUT you probably trade some sturdiness for a bit more offense (AAO, Shield Charge). You make great points Hyper 😂 I know you have a Mo Durable build floating around somewhere.

Would you say that nudges them past the pure resist sets?

OP mentioned Fire Armor changes… do you feel they’ve been a net positive for Brutes/Tankers?

I think he means layered as in they offer both defense and resists.

Saw this posted on Reddit. I know there was a “Tank Gods” thread a while back where some of the OG’s @Hyperstrike @Infinitum @Linea @Warboss @Werner and @Sovera broke it down. Definitely a lot of good options, and you laid out a few. I have a Dark Armor/Staff myself that is low damage, but definitely survivable. Rad Armor/Dark Melee also seems like it’d be pretty unkillable, at least on paper. Haven’t leveled one myself.

Ill/Dark is one of those combos that can do crazy things in this game! And I agree with you: hard to beat Lightning Rod for pure superpower “feel” in this game haha. My current too COOL hero is my KM/Ice Armor (pun intended) Stalker.

This has been my favorite Brute combo as well. The DOTS are just so synergistic. I’ve liked it so much, I’m thinking of running a similar combo of Savage/Elec.

SOLID, huh? I see what you did there 😉 haha honestly, Seismic/Dark seems like a cool concept. You could use crystal forms and make them all dark, like hard shadows.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Multiple colds with a Thermal/Elec/Kin seem to be more of the meta. I think Time is more of a Force Multiplier

Nice. Looking at maybe a Water/Dark or Fire/Dark Corruptor myself. Soul Noir effects just too nice 😂
