  1. I'm sure this will be unpopular opinion but speaking as someone who can twist a balloon koala climbing a palm tree and who has received payment for my clowning abilities, I'm not interested Clown MMs. It's a silly concept that's fun to joke about but I'd be very disappointed if the Devs dedicated the time and effort of creating a whole new MM set only for it to be something as niche as clowns. That time and effort would perhaps be better spent finding a way to allow MM pet customization so Sandy the Clowns can have her clowns, Super Spartan can RP 300 till the cows come home and Jacko Lantern can make their pumpkin headed mafia. This lets all the niche concepts flourish as opposed to just one.
  2. and no feet...
  3. Every single toon I make gets a Super Stunner targeting macro and a Surgeon targeting macro at level 1. Don't get me wrong, I hate sappers too but they're easy to find and they die fast. They're usually only a problem if you accidentally aggro a second mob and don't notice until your blue bar is empty. Those damned Super Stunners are just the worst! All bosses so they don't die very fast, they like to fly and stay at range and if you're playing melee and trying to tune one up, they'll drop their -end field on top of you forcing you to move or corner pull and then when you finally beat them, they insta res with a huge auto hit end drain! So frustrating! I always try to Nem Staff them away as a last hit and that works but isn't super reliable. Strangely, despite my hatred of Super Stunners, Freaks in general are one of my favorite factions to fight. +2 KM Yin lfm!
  4. We would all weap at the reality of a CoH2. All the modern gaming BS that nobody likes and actively makes games less fun but makes the corpo tons of money would be included because the ppl putting up the money don't care how fun a game is, only how quickly they will 10x their investment. The bones of original CoH come from a time before the worst trends in gaming were commonplace. The lightning in this bottle will never be caught again.
  5. So how does the store owner pay rent/mortgage/taxes if he just gives away all his stock because Super Guy & Friends saved that office building last week? Maybe if it were a rare occurrence they might be feeling grateful and give you goodies based on your rep but you can't throw a rock in Paragon without hitting a superhero/villian who just cleared out a dangerous cave, it would be a never-ending giveaway. I'd imagine giving everything away with no exchange of currency would quickly bankrupt the store regardless of how impressive the supers feats may have been. How would the stores replace their stock? Do the enhancement wholesalers also accept Super Guys rep as payment? How are the workers making the enhancements being paid? Still Super Guys rep? How do those workers pay their rent? They may not even live in Paragon or have never heard of Super Guy, why would Super Guys rep count for anything at that point? I think this would lead to the greatest depression Paragon City and the Rouge Isles have even seen and would kickstart the total collapse of modern civilization. For these reasons, I'm out.
  6. I'm not sure if this works for iTrials but for TFs just head over to test and get the tester buffs that make you invincible and give you kill powers. Then solo whatever TF you're looking learn. You can take it as slow as you like and figure things out in a pressure free environment. Thats how I figured out Aeon, I only ever saw speedy Aeon advertised and I don't like doing speedy anything if I'm not familiar with it but over on test I went at my own pace and took notes. I don't know if iTrials work the same way since I think there are minimum qty of participants required and that could be trickey on test. Not sure on that one though.
  7. Interesting, I like the concept of Brutes with debuffs! How would you envision it working? For example Shadow Punch, the T1 from Dark melee currently applies a 100% chance of 5.625% -to hit to the target for 6 seconds. What do you think those numbers would look like on a debuff Brute?
  8. It certainly is! I love ATT but the recharge leaves a bit to be desired. I'd be totally satisfied If they adjusted the recharge of ATT to match that of Summon teammates. No the Zero-G pack is like discount Super Jump while the START vendor jump packs are.... I don't know how to describe them.... they just keep going up until you let off the gas. Also nice to have but the Zero-G packs are way better!
  9. I'd love to be able to refresh the timer on the Zero-G Jump Pack you get from the KR Safeguard/Mayhem mission. If it can't be refreshed then some way to get another one would be nice. I like that it has to be earned so I wouldn't want it added to the START vendor but maybe doing the KR Safeguard/Mayhem mish again could refresh it or it could be offered as a reward for an unrelated mission or badge. Flight packs are given out like candy but there's only 1 way to get a Zero-G pack and when it's gone, it's gone forever. Same goes for the Summon Teammates temp from the SC Safeguard/Mayhem, such a handy power, I'd love to get more use out it.
  10. I'm mostly fine with the speed of updates. This last one was a bit long and I probably would have prefered if it were split in 2 but not really a big deal. Where I think having a volunteer only team hurts us a bit is in the QoL, less interesting, nice but not critical department. The devs have said that they basically work on what they are interested in working on. That's gotten us new power-sets, new story arcs, new enemies and re-vamped enemies because those are interesting things to work on. I expect that most of the team would rather work on that sort of stuff as opposed to overhauling the character select screen to show more info or figuring out how add sort functionality to enhancement bins or any number of other less exciting QoL upgrades. I totally understand why this is the case, if I'm working for free then I'm at least going to work on something that's interesting to me. No shade on the devs here. Money is what gets people to work on boring things and I don't really know how we'd incentive anyone to work on the mundane stuff without the sirens song of those sweet sweet dollarydoos!
  11. I must make toons when I'm hungry... I recently made Chicken, Popcorn and Donut (Yes of course Donut got the "Old Fashioned" badge!). I also have Taco, Soda and Beandip waiting in the wings until I'm inspired. Is it lunchtime yet??
  12. I could have filled the grand canyon with all the potions I didn't use because I was saving them for an emergency in Skyrim!
  13. Appreciate the insight on what going on behind the scenes there! I'd absolutely love some proper, user controlled sort options!
  14. Oh right! I forgot about the alignment Icon, thx! Yeah a "details" button would be great for keeping a clean look. Heck, if we move it to a button and pop up window maybe it could even let us look at our inventories from the select screen! I know I've had occasions where I know that recipe dropped the other night but what dang toon was I playing??? This way I wouldn't have to log in 15 toons to search for that thing!
  15. Do you mean the thing where when you take a couple enhancers out a little too fast, it rearranges the whole table and then you go search for the set again and the next one you take out rearranges it again back to the original arrangement? If so, hard agree! It's super frustrating! I think it's a bug that's been around for a very long time and as much I'd love it to get fixed, I'm not gonna hold my breath. The only workaround I've found is to not click them too fast. Take them out at a rate of about 1 per second, a full Mississippi between clicks or even a hair more. If you see it re-arrange, just close the bin and re-open it and things will be back to normal. It's faster than trying to locate where you were only for it be rearranged again as soon you take 1 more enhancer out. I like your enhancement tray idea! I'd also like a "Move all enhancements to bin" or "Move all enhancements to AH" option.
  16. It should be noted that this is a one time only teleport and only if you've never spoken to that contact. It's super convenient for that initial meeting but not very helpful for the contacts that are slow to offer the call option. The Oro crystal option is wonderful, it's often faster to base tp or oro tp and then click the crystal to tp to contact rather than traveling across the zone to get back to the contact. This is one of the reasons I usually prefer doing arcs through the crystal.
  17. We should offer to pay the dev team! To fund their salaries we could implement some sort of required payment system in order to access the game as a player. Maybe each payment would grant access for a limited amount of time, let's say about 30 days and then the player would have to pay again if they wanted to continue playing. I dunno, prolly a silly thought.
  18. Wow! This thread has been resurrected more times than Futurama! Yeah, I'm on board, minimal fx please!
  19. So many of the red side arcs require you to do 3-5 missions before they let you call, it's infuriating! I fully support a teleport to contact power or a universal adhesion to the premise of "you get to call after the first mission".
  20. I fully support any suggestion that "X" should be viewable from the character select screen! Show me as many stats as are reasonable possible! I really like Ghosts suggestion that we get to pick and choose. Some others I'd like to see: inf merits alignment # of purple/pvp recipes in inventory TIME PLAYED!!!!! (I swear the "M" named npcs are rarer than purple recipe drops!) Super Group active mission I'm sure there are a million more things that would be nice to see there too. Unfortunately I'm not very optimistic that any of this will get implemented due to the dev teams limited time but I would love to be proven wrong!
  21. Mine is pretty similar: Except for my Hami toon:
  22. For whatever reason, I avoided Mind control from the inception of the game up to about a month ago. Really it was the changes to sleep that enticed me to try it but I quickly fell in love with TK! However, I'm not familiar with any other incarnation of the power, what was it like pre 2005ish?
  23. Lightning Rod and/or Shield Charge are game changers for melee. Fade and Farsight redefine survivability for those sets and their teammates. Radiation infection Phantom Army Telekinesis Fulcrum Shift of course I'm sure there are tons more!
  24. Trollers are are on a pretty big spectrum of damage. I have an Ice/Rad that I love dearly who nobody can touch but it takes her a week to defeat an even con minion and I have a Fire/Dark that just melts 4x8 mobs like they're made of ice cream. Trollers were the original farmers in CoH, at a time when Tanks, Scraps and EATs all existed the squishy-ass low damage Troller was the king of slaughtering mountains of enemies in the most efficient way possible at the time. Of course there are more efficient ways of doing this now but Trollers are just as nasty now as they were then. There are some sets that lend themselves more towards damage than other sets but that just allows for greater variety imo. I don't know what the answer to all this would be but speaking only for myself, I don't really need anything done for trollers. Trollers are my favorite AT in the game and that's as true today as it was on live. Currently leveling a Mind/Storm who isn't cranking out major damage yet but should be pretty devastating in a few levels!
