Update: I got the Fire/Electric to 50 on the last night of Indom double XP! It leveled like a dream and cranked out silly damage! I semi followed Nemu's build and while it felt kinda strange to take all the boring stuff (kick, tough, weave, combat jumping, hasten super speed) at low levels (6-18) I have to admit that it works wonderfully. You blaze through those levels so fast that it gets all that utilitarian stuff out of the way early on so that in the higher (slightly slower) levels you're picking up fun attacks that noticeably expand your power/options. I think I only had 3 attacks for the first 20 levels but they were more than sufficient to take out decent sized mobs. Then once you're in the upper 20s-30s you just become an engine of destruction! What a fun toon! Since I had so much fun on the fire/electric the next logical step was, of course, an elec/fire! I've made it to 28 on this one so far and it's mirrored my experience with the fire/elec. It's just as nasty as far as damage goes and the small stun that occasionally hits with the elec attacks really helped keep my Tank buddy alive in the low levels. So unless things take a drastic turn for the worse, it's probably safe to say that any combo of fire/elec primary/secondary is friggin awesome! I'll post my leveling builds after work.

Oh yes please! There was an old thread that had stats from HC but I think that was done in 2019 and never repeated. I'd love to see some updated numbers but I'm not gonna hold my breath... Edit: Here it is, it was actually from 2020.

Why are the Devs silent on this?? There is a new argument thread on this exact same topic every month or so. There exists in this game a power that is so divisive that it causes arguments and exclusion both in game and out and the Devs have no thoughts on the topic? If there is 1 area of the game deserving of Dev time it would be for the things that have a significant negative impact on the game and I think GF more than fits that description. Null was a stopgap, please, I'm begging you, spend some time on this to find something better and plunge the dagger into the heart of these threads once and for all.

100% on board for offer options to lower xp gains. However I'd prefer it be done the same way we can get double xp boosters now through the START vendor. Not on board with any of that badge stuff.

Double xp, street sweep in Galaxy and grab the exploration badges for some patrol xp, head to hollows at 5 or 6 and do all 4 contacts at the highest diff you can manage, then head to Faultline and do a few radios for the last couple levels. Edit: Nevermind, should have read better, sry.

Weren't there "personal items" that one used to be able to add to the base? I only have a vague recollection of it but I thought that was essentially exactly what you're asking for, a toon goes out on adventures and brings back a personal trophy that could be added to the base. Honestly I wouldn't mind if every story arc you completed rewarded you with some small trinket that you could throw on a shelf or maybe a wall hanger type thing. I love the idea of plaques that you could write on and edit!

Yeah, I had intended on restricting it to those two epics but the more I played with builds the farther away from that I got. I'm leaning towards Fire/Elec/Mase and only taking the shield from the Patron. This will let me try out some of the powers that I skipped on the Elec x3.

So then I wanted to take the glass box concept and make that the whole base instead of a secret room. I made a new base on Indomitable to try it out. This one is a little bigger than the secret room version but not too much, a simple and functional two-man base was the main goal. I'm really happy with how the teleporters turned out! In my head-cannon you'd stand on the teleporter pads and touch the red orb on the wall to be dematerialized and transmitted to you destination via the big satellite dish on the front of the base. Then I just added some hills and valleys down below with a little swimming hole. I probably should have built higher up so you couldn't see so much land, live and learn... I've gotten on a bit of a base building tangent! This is a secret room in the base from the post above. Just a little developers lounge type room. It's where I work on my sports car, drink whisky and play video games! You get there by petting the Lion by the stairs (no that's not a euphemism).

I tend to take missions with Outcasts, Trolls and Skulls in the low levels. No really because I like them so much but more because I know I'm going to level out of them very quickly and probably won't see them again on my path to 50 unless I'm doing flashbacks or something. Snake are my answer for Red side for the same reason. The only ones I really avoid are Vaz and Tsoo and that all comes down to the debuffs they do. Hell, for Tsoo it's just the one sorc with Hurricane that makes me avoid the whole group. COT can be a pain sometimes too but I don't seem to avoid them like the others even though the ghosts are responsible for many a string of profanity!

Hey folks, I just finished up my Electric/Electric/Electric Blaster and it was so much fun that I want to keep the Blaster train rolling! I've had a Fire/Fire/Fire for quite a while and really enjoy playing that one too! So I'd like to mash up my 2 favorite Blasters into a Liger of destruction!! So keeping the Primary, Secondary and Epic as either Fire or Electric, what do you think the best combo of Fire and Electric would be? P.S. I prefer a blapper playstyle if that helps.

As a little Goat in the 90's I thought they were both soooo cool!! What a dumb goat I was... Although I have seen some really decked out for off-road that were awesome, of course they mostly just used the body and not much else.

Caves are so bad that if I've made a very large toon, I'll use their second costume slot and leave everything the same but make them as short as possible! Then when I have a tiny cave I swap to the tiny costume and it cuts down on profanity by 96%!! I'm all for the OP but only a real masochist would wear it in the purple caves 🤣

I don't know what kind of coding mess it would be but maybe upon completion of the final mission in the arc the system checks if you completed all the missions and only rewards merits if they have. Otherwise you'd get just get the mission completion bonus but no merits. It would certainly be nice to be allowed to invite ppl to in-progress flashbacks.

Still very much a work in progress but I've gotten all the important bits in place. I was just aiming for an efficient and functional personal base with a touch of whimsy. Maybe have a little checkbox in the vendor UI to "Hide/Show rare salvage"? This would add an option as opposed to removing one and may be more palatable for the Trillionaires that want to sell their gold for pennies. However I'd like to put this out there, if anyone plans on selling a bunch of rare salvage to a vendor, please hit me up and I'll double their price!😁
