  1. All the roads would be filled with potholes and cracking, gutters filled with weeds, and parks needing paid passes to be used by anyone due to funding issues, cost overruns, and poorly executed imaginary budgets made by people in charge that don't really get reality. lol Boom might finally have all the buildings demolished with a bit more urban renewal completed around the gate and an ad hoc rail station in place. Faultline would also have a lot of the at risk buildings demolished and more restoration work completed. The Hollows would also have finally been retaken and life slowly returning with the pit being filled in from all the demo work in other zones. Kings Row would still be a mess and even more of a full on slum despite the PPD HQ being there (for whatever reason rather than actually close to City Hall in Atlas or in Brick to better support the Zig and its frequent breakouts). Skyway's core below the elevated roadways would be also more slum-like as crime rates skyrocket in the shadows below). Perez would be retaken and cleared out with civilian life returning and the forest getting some much needed maintenance, the open space recovered being useful for a staging area to retake and restore the ruins of Galaxy City. Terra Volta access will be cleared of debris and security restored...and hostile forces purged from the reactor and surrounding industry finally with Vanguard or US military facilities in place to ensure that things stay that way...though dealing with all the resulting industrial espionage and clandestine off the books projects by scientists of questionable morals and/or sanity would likely need increased hero sweeps.
  2. Hmmm...slippery slope there...kinda like the age old D&D alignment feud. šŸ˜‰ I don't think all powers should have the same numbers...the whole point is to provide an impression of individual heroic/villainous persona to play for either glory or greed. That said, I do think that each power set within like categories should be at least close to the same numbers or performance per se to maintain a sense of like potential and avoid those situations where power set A is far more optimized and effective than power set B...so power set B seldom appears in play. But like Snarky alluded to...the game, like life, is complex and nothing performs at some illusory level of fairness and balanced equality; more like a series of reactionary distortions based on causality and chaos theory. So I trying to achieve homogenation would be akin to tilting at wind mills. Very large, very old, and very cranky wind mills. (chuckles)
  3. But...but...then they'd be...(shudder)...POLITICIANS!! we already got more than enough of those. :P (ROFL)
  4. Or trying to hunt down that last stupid mob hidden away in some hard to find corner... Not really worried about time since I solo...the cake room isn't that bad otherwise. Pool room...yeah. That one is annoying...and not really serving any discernible purpose. Fish farm? It sure isn't a water purification type set up...at least nothing I recognize from the water treatment plants I've worked on.
  5. The tight tunnels, council/column base tunnels, and oranbega corridors are all unpleasant for me due to being right on the verge of triggering my claustrophobia. Jump scares...NOT cool man! šŸ˜‰ lol
  6. Of course you're believing. The whole game concept is founded on the concept of the suspension of DIS-belief after all. :p
  7. Weaving eh? OFFICER! ARACHNOS AGENT OVER HERE!! HURRY! :P lol
  8. Sooooo...really into Savage Melee, eh? šŸ˜„
  9. Obsidiman: Pragmatic Savior Major Holocaust: Destructive/Nihilist (Most toons: Beat the target(s) until they fall down. Rinse. Repeat. :p ) lol
  10. They're all part of yet another Nemesis plot!
  11. Carl eats his (irradiated) veggies and grew big and strong. Nobody messes with Carl...they give a big NOPE! So be like Carl keeping his (irradiated) veggies safe! (lol) (on a more serious note: Oh HECK NO! >< Kaiju JR size. -shudder-)
  12. That or the villains from the Rogues making runs on the city and banks will bust 'em up...then they're Paragon Waste Management's problem. Though I hear that they can't get to their trucks because the dumps and Recycling Centers are all over ran by Clock, Freaks, and Lost. The Taxi's are long gone...couldn't get insurance due to overly frequent car replacements as collateral damage and Paragon, which is self-insured due to being dropped by all insurance companies long LONG ago, can't even cover their municipal responsibilities thanks to Fault, Boom, and the Hollows. šŸ˜‰
  13. Open game... Felina Inverse Black Radium Bipolarized Black Roach Dr Chernozem Corporal Cleaver Frost Box Flaming Modularity General Lancer Ground Rod Sir Chopsalot Re-Pound Slow Moe
  14. Ya know...where the heck is the Paragon Fire Dept? No fire stations or even EMS vehicles around. Too much reliance on medi-porters I guess. šŸ˜„
  15. Yeah...all those manufacturing and tech companies inside Terra would be especially dependent on keeping the bridge and other accesses clear and...well...accessible. Both for supplies, workers, and shipments out. The DE, if supposedly contained (or is that just Hami itself) in some of the more distant zones from the Hive like Crey's Folly and IP don't really make sense. That they're in Founders I can see but the walls would make the islands in Talos and them showing up in the Rogues questionable as well...unless someone was absolutely insane enough to...export...th...never mind. ><
  16. Not just Boomtown....Faultline's buildings and soils would've become a massive landslide pit due to mass loading and the soil seeking a self-sustaining grade. I know it's comic logic...there's so much of Paragon that can't be anything but. Unfortunately my engineering gene likes to remind me of things almost constantly. lol There's no way an actually competent engineer/planner would design a neighborhoods of a city so haphazardly after all...or with such expensive infrastructure. Accounting would be living out of the ICU! :p lol Outside of Praetoria too. Like...where does the food for the city come from if Hami is everywhere? It has ports but for what reason if it's the last vestige of civilization? Paragon at least has Croatoa's farms and the Soylent Green (grin) facilities in Crey's Folly in addition to the ports in IP and Talos.
  17. One of the things that just has ya thinking after a while. Terra Volta has got to be the worst secured nuclear reactor, if not the world, the US. The access road is unusable and needlessly round-about, the place is overrun by hostile forces left, right, and center when by rights the National Guard or Marines should be entrenched around it...and it's an absolute wonder that the whole place hasn't gone ingloriously Ka-BOOOM! yet since no one can get in to maintain it other than the odd hero group now and then. I mean, sure the Rikti hit hard and things were a mess after...but logically, securing your nuclear reactor, and thereby the safety of the entire City and a good chunk of Eastern seaboard should've been in the top three priorities on THE LIST rather than letting it languish in a constant state of crisis. I think the voters need a bit less of Cole's imported water. šŸ˜‰
  18. My concept of this would be a pure power armor AT...where the powers are modules though they'd operate at a step lower than they do for Pure ATs. very impractical given the work it would entail but fairly cool from a flexibility concept.
  19. I can only dread the many 'save my cat from the tree' requests. >< Though it could be interesting if they had randomly assigned missions from the 'secret contacts (AI)' among the many crime victims on the street or strange light in the store front investigations added to the radio missions. Or if the AI was able to generate additional contact story lines. Wish list filler thoughts.... šŸ˜„
  20. Just ignore the increase in Soylent Green in the markets they say... :p
  21. clockwork...now clockwon't. (hi five to scarlet for the great (BAD) pun. šŸ˜„ )
  22. Brutes are hard pre-20?! ( oO ) Say what now?! Some power combos suck for sure...but for the most part I literally steam roll 6> mobs solo even if yellows with my Brutes until I get into the upper 20's-lower 30's. Doesn't get hard until you get an orange mixed in the bunch...and even then I almost never face plant. Like Troo said...get the defense slotted solid in the first four levels and have at least 4 attacks (includes the origin default and brawl). Defense at six, attack at 8, travel at 10 and after that it's what fits best. Slot defense as a priority and fill in attacks when able or needed. (I tend to do rechg/acc/dmg SO's...sets as opportunity avails) If you got a lot of mobs in front...try to get them to split up and defeat in detail...or prioritize the heavy hitters or annoyances like Engineers & Sappers. Just wading in and hitting anything in reach is just asking to be hammered IMO. šŸ˜‰
  23. Keep in mind this is more or less logical conjecture: Originally the initial archtypes were set up to work in teams, each covering for a weakness(es) of the other ATs. Then CoV came and the ATs were set up to work decently as solo while not quite as effective in team play...being self-serving villains and all at heart. I leveled both a Tank (pre-nerf) and Brute to level 50 back then. I left prior to Going Rogue coming out...but Sentinels seem to be another AT meant to allow for a more solo-survivable play style. As a solo gamer...Sentinels and Brutes are my go to with Blaster and Tank as a decent second choice for when I'm feeling like a bit more risk or simple change of pace. I've tried the other ATs and just not my cuppa for my play style...and that, at the end of the day, is really what matters since when the AT fits your play style it will seem stronger by comparison to others that don't....even when it may not be that way numerically/statistically. As long as one is having fun with what they are playing, does the rest of the minutia matter? It could be that the folks complaining about a specific AT is more due to it not matching their play style rather than actually being broken or what. Though I'm sure the deep delver folks would slap me with a heresy warning for saying that. lol šŸ˜‰
  24. Like several sections of the city, they are under repair. :p
  25. Magnaseism: a Seismic/Sonic Blaster...it's been an interesting combination so far. Sonic seems a but underwhelming especially if the mobs get in close but with the seismic shock going there's just enough mitigation to make it work those first 10 levels. See how it fares as things go.
