  1. Yeah...all those manufacturing and tech companies inside Terra would be especially dependent on keeping the bridge and other accesses clear and...well...accessible. Both for supplies, workers, and shipments out. The DE, if supposedly contained (or is that just Hami itself) in some of the more distant zones from the Hive like Crey's Folly and IP don't really make sense. That they're in Founders I can see but the walls would make the islands in Talos and them showing up in the Rogues questionable as well...unless someone was absolutely insane enough to...export...th...never mind. ><
  2. Not just Boomtown....Faultline's buildings and soils would've become a massive landslide pit due to mass loading and the soil seeking a self-sustaining grade. I know it's comic logic...there's so much of Paragon that can't be anything but. Unfortunately my engineering gene likes to remind me of things almost constantly. lol There's no way an actually competent engineer/planner would design a neighborhoods of a city so haphazardly after all...or with such expensive infrastructure. Accounting would be living out of the ICU! :p lol Outside of Praetoria too. Like...where does the food for the city come from if Hami is everywhere? It has ports but for what reason if it's the last vestige of civilization? Paragon at least has Croatoa's farms and the Soylent Green (grin) facilities in Crey's Folly in addition to the ports in IP and Talos.
  3. One of the things that just has ya thinking after a while. Terra Volta has got to be the worst secured nuclear reactor, if not the world, the US. The access road is unusable and needlessly round-about, the place is overrun by hostile forces left, right, and center when by rights the National Guard or Marines should be entrenched around it...and it's an absolute wonder that the whole place hasn't gone ingloriously Ka-BOOOM! yet since no one can get in to maintain it other than the odd hero group now and then. I mean, sure the Rikti hit hard and things were a mess after...but logically, securing your nuclear reactor, and thereby the safety of the entire City and a good chunk of Eastern seaboard should've been in the top three priorities on THE LIST rather than letting it languish in a constant state of crisis. I think the voters need a bit less of Cole's imported water. 😉
  4. My concept of this would be a pure power armor AT...where the powers are modules though they'd operate at a step lower than they do for Pure ATs. very impractical given the work it would entail but fairly cool from a flexibility concept.
  5. I can only dread the many 'save my cat from the tree' requests. >< Though it could be interesting if they had randomly assigned missions from the 'secret contacts (AI)' among the many crime victims on the street or strange light in the store front investigations added to the radio missions. Or if the AI was able to generate additional contact story lines. Wish list filler thoughts.... 😄
  6. Just ignore the increase in Soylent Green in the markets they say... :p
  7. clockwork...now clockwon't. (hi five to scarlet for the great (BAD) pun. 😄 )
  8. Brutes are hard pre-20?! ( oO ) Say what now?! Some power combos suck for sure...but for the most part I literally steam roll 6> mobs solo even if yellows with my Brutes until I get into the upper 20's-lower 30's. Doesn't get hard until you get an orange mixed in the bunch...and even then I almost never face plant. Like Troo said...get the defense slotted solid in the first four levels and have at least 4 attacks (includes the origin default and brawl). Defense at six, attack at 8, travel at 10 and after that it's what fits best. Slot defense as a priority and fill in attacks when able or needed. (I tend to do rechg/acc/dmg SO's...sets as opportunity avails) If you got a lot of mobs in front...try to get them to split up and defeat in detail...or prioritize the heavy hitters or annoyances like Engineers & Sappers. Just wading in and hitting anything in reach is just asking to be hammered IMO. 😉
  9. Keep in mind this is more or less logical conjecture: Originally the initial archtypes were set up to work in teams, each covering for a weakness(es) of the other ATs. Then CoV came and the ATs were set up to work decently as solo while not quite as effective in team play...being self-serving villains and all at heart. I leveled both a Tank (pre-nerf) and Brute to level 50 back then. I left prior to Going Rogue coming out...but Sentinels seem to be another AT meant to allow for a more solo-survivable play style. As a solo gamer...Sentinels and Brutes are my go to with Blaster and Tank as a decent second choice for when I'm feeling like a bit more risk or simple change of pace. I've tried the other ATs and just not my cuppa for my play style...and that, at the end of the day, is really what matters since when the AT fits your play style it will seem stronger by comparison to others that don't....even when it may not be that way numerically/statistically. As long as one is having fun with what they are playing, does the rest of the minutia matter? It could be that the folks complaining about a specific AT is more due to it not matching their play style rather than actually being broken or what. Though I'm sure the deep delver folks would slap me with a heresy warning for saying that. lol 😉
  10. Like several sections of the city, they are under repair. :p
  11. Magnaseism: a Seismic/Sonic Blaster...it's been an interesting combination so far. Sonic seems a but underwhelming especially if the mobs get in close but with the seismic shock going there's just enough mitigation to make it work those first 10 levels. See how it fares as things go.
  12. Skynet's Revenge! lol
  13. Why single radiation out when a good portion of other powers have 'radiant' projection abilities, particularly fire, frost, dark, and earth...and the weather around storm guys is just awful...so much for those sunny days the weather guy was raving about. :p lol Clothing and building materials in Paragon are created with such in mind and lead underwear is popular. 😉
  14. However, the takoyaki vendor mysteriously vanished mere minutes after the gates opened and has yet to be found.
  15. That's....surprisingly good. ( Oo )
  16. Wall. Plug. Spray with cold water until detached. :P
  17. Well. THAT'S a new take on the Clone Wars saga. 😁
  18. CITY WIDE FREE TACO DAY! (except for Vahz. They're toxic enough without help) :P
  19. My kid worked Taco Bell for around six months and the after work stories I heard would have convinced me to never eat there again even if I hadn't sworn off on the place back in the 90's. Hot sauces...for those that consider 'pain' a flavor....or are closet masochists. lol Should drop a couple pallet loads of it off to the Freaks and Vahz. (thinking) On second thought, better not, they might try to weaponize it.
  20. Redo the majority of the Paragon map zones to make actual sense and give them a bit more synergy so that together they feel like a cohesive city rather than a bunch of areas just slapped together without rhyme or reason as it were. Don't get me wrong...for game purposes they serve the intended use as mobility obstacles but little else. The Rogue Islands are better laid out with Praetoria being even better organized. More pet choices for MMs. More Villain story arcs by zone with mini-bosses and 3-8 linked missions. Frostfire in the Hollows is a good example.
  21. Sure...not big news to some...but not often ya see a Vamp running around Atlas in broad daylight. lol Makes one wonder what nefarious deeds he might be up to.
  22. I can see bringing back the zone but rather than as a beginner zone it is more an upper-mid level dealing with shivan and arachnos remnants lurking around trying to retain their foothold. And of course Crey is there for 'research' purposes while the Family is trying to corral the construction contracts and such by any means necessary. Potential is there for expansion and I do miss the zone which I think is better organized than Atlas which suffers from trying to cram too many different land use types into a smaller area.
  23. Lamb moussaka, saganaki, and a greek salad. Hold dessert since I don't want to waste the extra insulin needed...(yet another Nemesis plot! >< )
  24. While I'm not motivated by any bias, I'm very much in agreement with Shocker in general. I try very much to stay away from any of the existing comic/manga literature in terms of my toons in looks, name, and story tag both because it's a rule so that the legal beagles stay away from the game and out of simple respect for the IP of the originators. That said however, the genre being what it is, there is always going to be some toon somewhere that will be similar enough in design and concept that comparisons to said IP protected characters is simply unavoidable and can fall victim to the overzealous rules-lawyer-types running around without their chill pills. 😉 lol It's fine to be a fan of a comic/manga character...but it's always better for the game to be as original as possible with your own and avoid visits and/or nasty-grams from the LIB (Lawyers in Black). 😄
  25. For me it's Warrant. Beat cop trying to make good only to get his ticket punched by a guy who's ego is as big as the inferiority complex he overcompensates for. That particular NPC I seriously despise and tend to take the kill option out of simple principle.
