  1. Along with Hail of Bullets, the other nuke that didn't crash prior to sunset. Not saying that this is a great idea, mind. Just a lot of people forget that Dual Pistols' nuke didn't crash prior to sunset either, and lost that advantage like Archery did.
  2. PC Gamer put up an article detailing the deal made between Homecoming and NC. You can read it here.
  3. Michiyo locked the Homecoming Wiki on Tuesday, March 19th in preparation for it being moved to another server, which hasn't happened yet. When that will be, only @Cipher knows.
  4. That's funny. How can there be a fifth The Matrix film when there's only ever been one?
  5. We had a blast getting to level seventeen last week. This Saturday, we'll do the Bane Spider Ruben story arc, and then make our way to First Ward! We still have room for a couple people. If interested, stop by our Discord server linked to in the original post.
  6. Yeah, a lot of people either don't know or entirely ignore that Stalkers get a crit bonus for being on teams, that actually puts them slightly ahead of Scrappers.
  7. Tankers do a lot more AoE damage than Stalkers. Amusingly, a few people have told me that Stalkers are not welcome on advanced mode speed running teams because "they don't do enough damage." Yet, they'll take Scrappers and Tankers. Things that make you go "Hmm."
  8. Bingo. Letting all ATs be able to be created blue side was one of Paragon Studios' biggest mistakes IMO, (and they made quite a few). Red side ATs should have stayed red, blue side ATs should have stayed blue. Maybe let Praetoria be the only way to bring a red side AT blue, just to give extra incentive to play gold side. Regardless, way too late to close that Pandora's Box.
  9. Castle... 'nuff said, really. There's a reason why he's in Recluse's Victory now.
  10. Symphony Control is a power set that is better on Controllers than Dominators, like Mind Control and Arsenal Control are better on Dominators than Controllers. Its cones want you at range, which clashes with the Dominator assault power sets wanting you in melee range, (until Arsenal Assault - so a Symphony/Arsenal Dominator may work). In addition, the Reverberant pet echoes your primary powers/attacks, not your secondary ones... which means that you need to spam your primary powers more often than your secondary ones for the pet to work. That works well on a Controller, not so much on a Dominator. Symphony Control is fantastic on Controllers at least, IMO.
  11. I don't play Tankers nor Scrappers. Only melee ATs I play are Brutes and Stalkers. I just don't care for most blue side ATs.
  12. In the Homecoming Launcher, click the gear on the upper right side, and then click on "Homecoming" on the left side. You should see a text box for "Extra launch parameters." Put in: -cov or -uiskin 2
  13. Considering that both Tankers get their attacks much earlier as of Page 5, and that you can get to level 50 in a few hours... Nah.
  14. The following isn't my idea, but I liked it, and I'm posting it here with the permission of the person who came up with the idea. I think that most of us can agree that Tankers have outclassed Brutes since Issue 26 Page 4 launched in January 2020, when Tankers were (over)buffed. There is one way to help fix this, and help fix melee in general as well: Give the 50% AoE and cone radius buffs Tankers received in Issue 26 Page 4 to all melee attacks on all ATs. Why not just Brutes? The range of most melee attacks in City of Heroes is two meters. In addition the game has player collision and is capable of extreme movement. The range of melee attacks in Final Fantasy XIV is three meters. In addition the game has no player collision and is capable of high movement. The range of melee attacks in Star Wars: The Old Republic is four meters. In addition the game has no player collision, but has low movement. The range of melee attacks in World of Warcraft is five meters. In addition the game has no player collision and has fairly high movement consistently. Giving the 50% AoE and cone radius buffs to all melee attacks would make melee attack powers more comparable with other MMORPGs and feel better. There would be less having to work around jittery player collision that you don't have to deal with in other MMORPGs. Trying to hit multiple mobs with a targeted cone (that is currently limited to seven feet), would be substantially easier. It would also close the gap somewhat between Brutes and Tankers, without primarily becoming a benefit for farming as there would be no target cap raise to go with it.
  15. Yeah. The real problem isn't Brutes. Brutes are, IMO, just fine as is. The real issue is Tankers are grossly overpowered now and do far too much damage between their AT damage modifier being increased too high, and their interaction with procs due to their increased AoE radius.
  16. Or just nerf Tankers and nerf procs.
  17. Update again. The current version is 27.7.6043.1 If you're using Tequila or Sweet Tea, try the Homecoming Launcher instead.
  18. Talk with the START vendor in Atlas, Mercy, or Pocket D to enable team inspirations, and you'll start receiving them as random drops.
  19. IMO, if you want to do Kinetics, you're better off going Corruptor as you'd be somewhat wasting your own damage potential. Especially if you want to go with Fire Blast. Another option would be a Sonic Resonance Defender, which is very underrated. It'd smoothly bump up your team's damage potential substantially.
  20. FWIW, a Scrapper or Stalker on the team can disable the ambushes.
  21. Just my opinion: Excelsior is too large of a shard and has too many transient players for it to develop an actual community. There's pockets of communities. You have the PvP community. You have the advanced mode speed running community. But it has no shard community as a whole. People largely don't know one another. As a result, people tend to not really care about other players. They come and go as they please, and do as they please, without waiting. It's like New York City. Smaller shards have communities because players tend to get to know one another, so they're more willing to be patient on average. They're like your midwest town, with Everlasting being a small city. YMMV.
  22. If you don't mind going red side, do High Pain Threshold instead. It's both faster and easier. Takes me about a hour total.
  23. I have no interest in any of the prismatic aether costumes. I actually kind of find them annoying - seeing other people dressed as mobs, and some of the newer ones like the various mechs look incredibly janky in indoor maps. I personally don't like playing with people who use them. It's immersion breaking. But I realize I'm probably an extreme outlier. Any aethers I get go up on the black market, so that should help a little, although I don't do any advanced mode TFs/SFs anymore.
