  1. You would have cringed at the all-MM ITF that Kay organized on Guardian back on Live. Not only did we have 48+ henchmen thrown into the caves maps, but this was before MM henchmen lost their collision box, so they would block up the tunnels to boot. It was a pain making sure that the melee-set MMs were at the front as we moved so the ranged-set MMs didn't block them from getting to the Cimerorans.
  2. Particularly if Power Thrust got KB enhancements made immune to ED -- I fondly remember six-slotting Power Thrust for knockback and playing Hellion Golf in Atlas Park; a high-level character could get a Hellion almost all the way across the zone diagonally, especially with Power Boost (which boosted KB at the time).
  3. One place I see this regularly -- and accepted -- is in the "there is a known way to beat this content, so this is the One True Way™ way to beat this content, and there is no other way" solicitations. A prime example is the "Critical: Must have Tier 4 Barrier" in solicitations for increased-difficulty Aeon TFs; I'm reminded of the joke about the mathematician, engineer, and physicist each putting out a fire -- everyone seems to fall into the mathematician role. Breaking out of the mold is how we got the two different styles of Hami raid -- the one in the Hive, where you clear one or more waves of mitos before finishing Hamidon, and the Hamikaze style in the Abyss, where you go directly in and spank Hamidon hard and fast. A bunch of people had to be willing to fail to find out if the other method would work, and they did.
  4. Exactly this. It was something that seemed obvious to me way back in the early months on Live, way back before Controllers got Containment, and would choke off pretty hard solo around level 12 up until they got their pets at 32 -- you let the tank herd up the mobs so you get a nice, tight cluster of targets, and only then slap down the immobilize to keep them from running around and making it hard for the tank and DPS teammates to AoE them down. Immobilizing an entire spawn while it's spread out across an area twice the diameter of your blasters' AoEs doesn't help the group.
  5. I have an Arsenal/Trick Arrow Controller, and I've seen the continuing bug where, if I go into the tailor screen, the weapon configuration for the primary powerset automagically reverts to the unholstered legacy assault rifle (with the associated tailor charge for changing a costume option. If I reset the weapon to its original configuration, the charge for changing the costume option vanishes -- but the base tailor charge for changing anything about your costume remains. Admittedly, the cost is relatively small, but it's annoying to be charged for having to fix something that the costume editor did automatically when it wasn't wanted.
  6. I have an AR/EM Blaster that relies for the joke of his name on people recognizing a song from nearly 50 years ago. The character is Rolande ('Roland' was taken), whose appearance imitates that of one of the Trolls, wielding a Thompson, and the 'no head' option -- Rolande the Headless Trollkin Gunner.
  7. I think it's got malformed line breaks; I couldn't open it either, nor the data chunk in Tricon's Arsenal/TA thread.
  8. And/Or add a 'Zone' checkbox to the search at the bottom so you can answer the question 'Who do I have parked in [zone]?' quickly, instead of having to search through a couple hundred alts.
  9. And we already have enough issues with 1-3 Bots MMs set to Aggressive Follow idling away with Group Fly active in the courtyard of the murder motel, leeching away XP from the league members who are actually knocking on the doors; we don't need to institutionalize it so that anyone can be an untouchable leech.
  10. It's their version of foreplay; you'll want to ignore this thread before things start getting hot and heavy.
  11. If I remember the way you get those spawns in Kings Row, the Vahzilok are not dead, simply down, and if you aggro the Skulls, they'll stand up and start attacking. When the disintegrate spreads to them, they're defeated by the damage from the disintegrate, but while they're flagged untargetable, you don't earn XP for defeating them again.
  12. I created an Arsenal/Trick Arrow controller, and the Trick Arrow powerset was uncustomizable, both in the original character creation screen and at the Atlas Icon tailor, even for powers that I would have expected to be customizable like Ice Arrow, Poison Gas Arrow, and EMP Arrow. Curious, I switched characters to an Archery/Trick Arrow Corrupter, and discovered that, not only were the Trick Arrow powers not customizable, he was being assessed an 800-inf charge on every power in the powerset for changes that happened automatically on load. Is this the intended behavior, or has something happened to Trick Arrow to make all its powers uncustomizable?
  13. You're missing the concealed Arachnos reprogramming of the pop-out turrets in the hall outside -- they'll pop out and start attacking the Longbow there, who will fight back.
  14. But taking them out would remove the utterly irreplaceable time they waste going to the mission entrance, entering, seeing that it's a cave mission, then exiting and abandoning the mission to get a new one. And this would, of course, be only a preface to going through every mission in the game to make sure they're not using the cave map tileset or one of its analogs -- for example, all of the Council maps would have to be redone, since they're based on the cave tileset with additional structures added -- and all to satisfy their distaste for the cave map tileset.
  15. Go with the feeling. And welcome to the club; there's an open bar in the corner. You may have problems finding a seat; there are so many of us here.
  16. I had two IOs, both in tray 7, at the time. I finally tried on another character, and everything worked normally, so it may have been a glitch specific to the character.
  17. Yes.
  18. You're just missing the visual receptors in your eyes to be able to tell them apart... 😁
  19. First thing I tried, nothing in either the Bidding or Bought tabs, then I tried making the purchase again, same result -- bid on 5, showed 4 purchased and 1 still with an open bid, when I clicked 'Get' the four disappeared from the 'Bought' tab and vanished.
  20. I have made three separate attempts to buy level-50 crafted Recharge IOs on the auction house, and in all three cases, the AH shows me as having purchased them, along with the expenditure of influence for their purchase, and when I hit the 'Get' button for my purchase, the IOs disappear from the 'Bought' section of the AH window... and do not appear in my inventory. The latest only a minute or so ago. On Excelsior, character Bolon Dzakab, in Talos Island.
  21. And it's been an uncorrected fault since the history badges were put in the game back on Live, but the plaque at [-1147.4 225.7 5684.0] in Talos Island (on the east side of the central island) recounts how Spanky Rabinowitz was born on that very street in 1878. The history of the island describes how it is the result of a battle between Talos and Chimera, which the canon timeline places in the 1960s. Spanky could not have been born on that street, as the street, not to mention the island that it stands on, would not exist for another eighty years.
  22. Random NPC dialog in the Hollows: [NPC] Outcast Initiate Chopper: I'm going to be the snot out of the next guy I see. That should be "going to beat the snot out of", I believe.
  23. And you have all of the neatly-manicured hedges in the hazard zones that regular civilians don't travel to. And the same goes for all of the non-abandoned office maps you find in the hazard zones; someone's getting the janitorial staff in and out to do their work, and I don't think the regular mobs in the zones would be interested.
  24. So a six-foot-tall character, 72 inches would have their height increased by 1.08 inches (1.5% of 72), giving them a new height of 73.1"... head and shoulders above the 'mini-me' costumes, but little else. Did you perhaps mean increasing to 1.5x your normal size, or 150% of normal?
  25. I don't recall checking with the divining rod, but the Lost Curing Wand also does not increment the defeat count for Lost bosses, so it may be applying an internal 'force kill' effect on the target that bypasses all of the XP and badge count checks. Since it's an automatic result and not an actual defeat per se, this is logical both for the lack of XP and lack of badge count increment.
