This was one of the things contributing to my view -- an unpopular one, to be sure -- that AE should not award inf. Inf, by game lore, was supposed to represent your public reputation accumulated from your actions -- how wiling other people were to supply you with goods/services, either out of respect for your accomplishments (blueside influence), fear of what you might do to them (redside infamy), or what you held over them (goldside information). And crawling into your electronic navel, no matter how well you learned to use your abilities doing it, doesn't do squat for your public reputation. You go into the AE building at level 1 and come out at level 50, and no one is going to know you from Adam's off ox -- "I've never heard of you; why should I do anything for you?" And people will object that inf is "just a currency", and that removing inf rewards from AE is nerfing AE (and, I concede, if you're farming AE missions for the direct inf rewards, yes it is), but I still hold the position that getting inf directly from AE missions (as opposed to converting tickets and selling what you buy with them) is contrary to the game lore of what inf represents.

You do need a bit of a setup -- a few minutes whacking the mobs around central AP -- to accumulate the AH listing fee if you're starting a new character with zero resources, but it's a trivial bit of overhead.

IIRC, your last contact is Coyote, who is the one who sends you to AP when you turn in the mission he gave you.

Defender [Accelerate Metabolism] not appearing in visible buffs
srmalloy replied to TwoDee's topic in Bug Reports
It was also missing when I was playing my Ill/Rad Controller yesterday, so it is wider than just Defenders.- 1 reply

Auto-Kick from League for Being AFK Too Long
srmalloy replied to Clave Dark 5's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm just pointing out that there are exemptions in the 'go AFK, get disconnected' logic. Being AFK during an MSR is an issue only after the pylons are down, because the pylons don't give XP; once the league starts hitting the grates, XP starts coming in, and the AFK players can be leeching. -
Auto-Kick from League for Being AFK Too Long

Except that instanced maps don't subject players to the AFK timeout -- the instanced MSR, trials, door missions, and SG bases won't kick idle characters. -
There is also the 'standing at attention, arms crossing your chest' pose that you see mostly on Council Equinoxes for a 'standing guard' pose, but is more readily visible in the costume editor for a DP character when you are customizing their pistols -- you get a zoomed-in view with your character's arms crossed against their chest holding their pistols, but that pose doesn't exist as an emote.

<sarcasm> Because, of course, the game requires you to take a travel power at level 4; you're not allowed to pick any other power available to your character, and this cripples every single build in the game. </sarcasm> Seriously, your arm isn't being twisted to take a travel power at all; if you feel that it hurts your builds to take a travel power at that level, then don't.

You can always talk to her in Pocket D, upstairs red side.

I'm not sure, but I think that EndRdx in the power only reduces the End cost for summoning them. I know it's true for Recharge enhancements; they only bring the summons up faster.

In a bit of a pedantic attempt to improve the grammar on the forums, 'reign' refers to government -- 'the reign of King Charles'. When referring to something being drawn in or controlled, it's 'reined in', from the reins used to control riding animals. English homonyms may be confusing, but there are ways to regularise them.

From a post I made in the 'Favorite Quotes' thread: Headman Swordsman: I just don't get that 'stealing candy from a baby' thing. It'd be all gummy and gross. Who would want that anyway?

I am reminded of Robert Heinlein's statement "There has grown up in the minds of certain groups in this country the notion that because a man or corporation has made a profit out of the public for a number of years, the government and the courts are charged with the duty of guaranteeing such profit in the future, even in the face of changing circumstances and contrary to the public interest. This strange doctrine is not supported by statute or common law. Neither individuals nor corporations have any right to come into court and ask that the clock of history be stopped, or turned back."

What AT & powerset combos evoke certain superheros for you?

If you didn't keep tapping the junkies outside the rehab centers, you wouldn't have that problem... 😁 To keep with the thread theme: Ice/Ice Blaster - Mr. Freeze -
Triage bacon? That's easy; it has no chance of survival, so it's best to eat it now.

It ranks up with how you can be beating on the end boss in a mission, and spawns in clear view of the fight just stand there -- "Look, the boss is getting his ass handed to him." "Shouldn't we go over and help him?" "Didn't he just put you on a week's KP for having a spot on your uniform?" "You're right; screw him, he should be able to take care of himself. Rescuing him from his own mistakes isn't in my job description." "Wait, did he just say 'I am invincible'?" "Shit, he's doomed now. I hear the cafeteria has chocolate cake today; let's go check it out." "I'm with you."

Heldenjager's TF/arc; the name is 'Brass Tuesday', with a level 40 minimum.

Some time ago, I put up a suggestion to have a 'vend all' option for stacks that would dump a whole stack into the AH, parceling it out into blocks of ten as necessary (greatly shortening things like dumping 100 merits worth of convertors into the AH), and the general upshot was 'you can already drag stacks of 10, it's not worth the HC staff's time to do something like this when there's so much else that needs fixing' .
