  1. Story Arcs Missions Trials Raids Taskforces (or Strikeforces) Giant Monsters Is there any other content to see, aside from the above? I know there are many AE missions but those are done by amateurs using a watered-down mission system, so I won't do those until all the real content is done first. If I do every mission and story arc and all instanced group stuff on a Hero, a Villain and a Praetorian, that would be it for all the available content, aside from PVP zones/minigames/basebuilding. What else am I missing?
  2. You can do all 4 storylines, 2 for loyalist and 2 for resistance. Then you can easily get to 40+ Praetorian arcs are great and a lot of the endgame content if for the storyline of Praetoria and beyond. Enjoy it and have fun! Try making a Praetorian so you don't have to go to Ouro after every mission arc. You can lock your leveling and do everything in each area. There are guides for that as well.
  3. Work out a deal with NCSoft so Homecoming can charge for subscriptions and get a percentage of profit. Pay the devs working on the game currently and see they can all work f/t if they choose. Create new marketing assets to start advertising again. Offer a $10/mo subscription or $15/mo with extras. While also having a free option. As profit comes in save some to add to budget to let devs create and build a new expansion/update for the game. Within 2 years we can have over a million subscribers, a full-time development team, ongoing marketing and advertisements, and more! That is the reality I want. Now is the time. DCUO and Champions Online are the only competition. We can make a HUGE comeback. However, I am very happy with all the devs are able to do now with issues coming out and everything they have done for the game and all of us! I just hope we can do something so they can be paid for their efforts and we can all come together to make CoH Homecoming the #1 MMORPG in the world!
  4. It is still frustrating to see all these things that were attached to CoH that have been abandoned. The devs made mistakes and left a small team to create GR and things could have been sooo much better. If they took the updated technology of Champions Online and used that to improve CoH, we would have a different better game. Now all these years later, we have CoH: Homecoming. And it can make a true comeback and earn A LOT of MONEY from MILLIONS of subscribers again. And with the NCSoft license, there could be an arrangement where a certain percentage of profits go to NCSoft and the remainder used to give COH: Homecoming a permanent, full-time development team, as well as a ton of marketing and outreach. There are hundreds upon hundreds of MILLIONS of computer owners and computer gamers that have no idea what an MMORPG even is, nor do they know about CoH or that it's back as Homecoming. If we just worked together to help promote the game to peers and they had a real budget for devs and marketing, we could take CoH: Homecoming to the next level!!! Step 1: Sit down with NCSoft and hash out a percentage deal. They will agree I guarantee it. Even if they got 50% of profit or more, there would be plenty to cover CoH and to pay all the full-time devs, as well as bonuses for those that volunteer their time. We can do $10 a month and have some items in the store to sell and it would work. Step 2: Once that is setup, the marketing begins. Fresh branding and marketing assets. New commercials and ads and more. All of which I have no problem doing for 25% of the cost. Just to help the game I love. We reach out to all former players going back to the beginning. So many ideas can work well, especially focusing on non-mmo players so we get more people who will stay instead of burnt out, jaded, bitter mmo veterans who only care about rushing and powerleveling. Step 3: With a budget and marketing and f/t devs, we can make a real plan for larger updates and do everything! We can even bring back everything that has faded, like Supergroup base PVP, minigame pvp, and the prominence of the PVP zones. We can have more raids, more trials, etc. And the devs can create a brand new campaign, locations and more - to take CoH to the next level and beyond! This would work. But it requires effort to make a reality. If my team handles all the marketing, and they can get a deal with NCsoft for a percentage of profits, there could be a million players back in game within 2 years. That is the dream, but also a possible reality. But it probably won't ever happen. There's nothing to lose, of course, so it is definitely worth trying out. Any thoughts?
  5. In all online games, there will always be those people that are too lazy or selfish to play normally. AFKers and multiboxers and anyone else who are afraid to play the game normally. This is what leads to criminal behavior. They have no self control and cannot follow the rules, so they have to do something to get any advantage they can. Of course, earning things the right way means nothing to them. They will always be around 😕
  6. I've always wanted to have hero vs villain battles in all the zones. We have the Arena matches and the full PVP zones. But what about something for all zones? Since many don't want to PVP, we can't have a full open world pvp, but maybe we can have a small version of it. How? Let players DUEL others. 1 can invite another to a duel and have 1v1 battle. Or a team can "duel" another team, up to 6v6. And wherever the duel is accepted, 100m in every direction becomes their duel area. If a player leaves that area, the duel ends with the one who stayed in the area getting the win. And to have more people take part in it, just have a simple reward, like 2 merits per win, 1 merit per loss. Even with such a small amount, you can earn a lot by getting into more duels. If this can implemented, even temporarily like a seasonal activity or just in one zone to start "Khalisti Wharf please" I think it would bring a lot more excitement to all areas. And because no one is forced to do it, PVE players won't cry and complain about it. What are your thoughts, pvpers?
  7. Pretty much any enemies with fight other enemies, unless they are aligned in some way. I love flying through zones and seeing all these battles on rooftops and in the streets. I wish we would have open PVP like that so villains and heroes can fight anywhere. I think Croatoa is best because there are huge numbers of enemies fighting each other as well as their respective Giant Monster bosses lol
  8. Sounds really cool. I'm definitely going. I'll tell my SG buddies about this and my coalition too. Great idea! There is soooo much we can do when we use a bit of imagination. GJ
  9. Even though DFB is fun as a first trial for lower levels, I'll never understand why people run it over and over again until level 20ish. Theres DIB and the Cave, both trials that give lots of xp. I feel weird if I do more than one of each early on as I end up missing out on 20 levels of content. But that is just me.
  10. Tanker would be able to survive more and has aoe when attacking to hit more enemies. But brute has a bit less survivability and a bit more damage. Regeneration seems fun. What does willpower do as a powerset?
  11. I have to say... EVERYONE LOOKS SO DARN SPIFFY!!! Really awesome costumes and combos. Can't wait to meet you all in the city 🙂
  12. What is the new name for character? MA/Psy Brute looks very interesting 🙂 I haven't recreated anything yet. Maybe in a few years when I have one of each archetype or more than just 3 characters LOL. Still got a few years of content to enjoy for those 3. But I do like that you are keeping the name similar so it's like your scrapper leveled up in a way lol. Very cool. Go getem!
  13. Peacebringer should stay as it is. I'll take buffs, but there is no need to make any nerfs or add cooldowns or anything. The difference in power between PBs is selection of powers, slots and enchancements and procs. So why change that? Other than other ATs complaining it's unfair we have 3 forms, is there really a need to make any changes? I don't get it.
  14. It's not hard at all to click the forms to change and use those abilities. I don't get why others have such an issue with it. We are getting bonuses from each form rather than just using those extra powers, so I like it. Once you map things on your keyboard comfortably, it's really quick to switch. Ranged and extra DPs = bright nova main damage with toggles and more variety + melee or ranged = human form extra defense and invul to a lot of cc = dwarf Switching between them is part of the fun IMO.
  15. White dwarf - 3 slots for each of the 4 attacks, and 3 in form for extra survivability Bright Nova - 5 slots in each attack (all) and 3 slots for the form Inner Light needs more for better dmg, maybe 3 total. Why take Grant Invisibility? I have Stealth but thats it. Also, do you find Quantum Acceleration worth it? Really good build. Good selection of enhancements. Gave me a few ideas too. Great job!
  16. Would it even be possible to use a gamepad when most characters are using like 20+ powers? How would that even work?
  17. Bio, when someone has a rifle/axe or whatever weapon on their back (as it isn't being used) does the back item show (like backpack/cape/etc.)? They should make shield work like the weapons. But then idk how someone could have a rifle and shield and it not look clunky. I believe Shields are only "active" when you have a toggle on, but I may be wrong.
  18. I'll never understand how players can be so lazy in an mmorpg game. It's sad.
  19. Found this on the wiki: Paragon Protector (Dark Boss) Dark Real-ID Paragon Protector Crey's new Altruist Division supergroup is staffed by these Real-ID Protectors; heroes from around the world specifically recruited by Crey to help protect the city from an evergrowing list of threats. Unlike the Paragon Protectors, these Real-ID Protectors are unmasked and have their identities publicly listed on the Altruist Division website, supposedly proving that none are a result of the Revenant Hero Project. This Real-ID Protector has successfully participated in several medium-to-high threat missions and has been trusted with a core role on one of Altruist Division's subteams. Levels: 40-54 Powers Fly Self Fly Crey Cloned Heroes can Fly! Dark Blast Ranged, Moderate DMG(Negative), Foe -ToHit A long range blast of dark energy. Deals moderate Negative Energy damage and reduces the target's chance to hit. Gloom Ranged, High DoT(Negative), Foe -ToHit Gloom slowly drains a target of life, while reducing his Accuracy. Slower than Dark Blast, but deals more damage over time. Tenebrous Tentacles Ranged (Cone), Moderate DoT(Negative), Foe Immobilize, -ToHit You can create a cone shaped rift to the Netherworld that allows its native creatures to slip their oily Tentacles into our reality. These creatures will snare all foes within range, Immobilizing them while the Tentacles drain their life and reduce their chance to hit. Life Drain Ranged, High DMG(Negative), Foe -ToHit, Self Heal You can tap the power of the Netherworld to steal some life from a target foe and reduce their chance to hit. Some of that stolen life is transferred to you in the form of Hit Points. Shadow Punch Melee, Light DMG(Negative/Smash), Foe -ToHit You wrap your fists with Negative Energy channeled from the Netherworlds, then perform a quick punch that deals minor damage. Shadow Punches cloud the target's vision, lowering his Accuracy for a short time. Smite Melee, Heavy DMG(Negative/Smash), Foe -ToHit You wrap your fists with Negative Energy channeled from the Netherworlds, then perform a Smite that deals more damage than Shadow Punch, but has a longer recharge time. Smite clouds the target's vision, lowering his Accuracy for a short time. Siphon Life Melee, Superior DMG(Negative), Foe -ToHit, Self Heal You tap the power of the Netherworld and create a life transferring conduit between a foe and yourself. This will transfer Hit Points from your enemy to yourself. Foes Siphoned in this manner have their Accuracy reduced. Midnight Grasp Melee, Extreme DoT(Negative), Foe Immobilize, -ToHit Mastery over the forces of the Netherworld allows you to create dark tentacles that can Immobilize a foe and continuously drain his life force. Dark Embrace Toggle: Self +Res( S30 L30 N20 T20 ) You tap into the energy of the Netherworld to protect yourself from damage. This Dark Embrace shrouds you and grants resistance to Lethal, Smashing, Toxic, and Negative Energy damage.
  20. Let's see... Stealth/Invisibility - you can go translucent or solid with a toggle Spirit Strength - as a ghost, you are harder to hit, so you take less of all damage types Haunt - you terrify/scare the enemies around you so they go running Poltergeist - can work like the Kheldian power Photon Seekers (you summon 3 ghosts that attack and disappear) Possess - you can take control of any enemy nearby for 60secs Possess (ver. 2) - you can take control of 2-3 enemies for 30 secs (while still having control of your character, making the possessed like pets) Banshee Wail - aoe kb attack with a scream that sends enemies flying Add a mix of Ghost Widows powers, the Spirit Shark powers with ghosts appearing instead of shark/leviathon/coralax stuff, and what I have above. Or maybe have it like Kheldians, with tri form: Spirit/Ghost (main form), Banshee (ranged/support), and something else to tank. Would be cool. I always wished that Ghost Widow had a set that matched her abilities perfectly.
  21. I know for sure that when you have an NPC teammate that can heal, they will resurrect your other teammates when they go down. And I hope that they all use rest when no healer is around and they still come back. If you are in the mission and lose someone and they aren't coming back, you can leave mission, change to another mission and then select the original mission again and start with fresh team, though the mission will reset. But if it happens early on, it's a big help. I'm gonna try out some things and verify what you are saying but I believe you are correct. Veterans can jump in and say if they know for sure.
  22. Would be a great idea to have that. Your shield can replace your cape/back item. Then when you turn on any defense toggle, it goes to your arm and back item is hidden. Not perfect but simple enough to possibly happen.
  23. That one and the never ending caverns that have like 5-6 levels going down. Also, any of the early Council cavern maps. Just ooof. The part with the 3 levels of water sectioned off with generators and scaffolding.
  24. Welcome!!! Hawkman was always one my my favorites! I'm a huge history buff and went to school to become an acrhaeologist before I had to switch to something to earn money faster - which was commercial art and design. Now I own a design firm in NYC but I still love history and will read as many texts as I can and do my own research at times. If you are ever interested in the Revolutionary War, read 1776 by Bill O Reilly. It's an amzing read. I was more focused on ancient history, mythology and theology. Hmu anytime to talk shop. @Xalon
  25. Amazing responses everybody! We get to learn a little more about each other, how we started and what we love. Brings us all closer together as a community. I'm gonna try and have more open posts with questions and see how we do 🙂 GJ! Keep em coming!
