If you run the old Maria Jenkins story arc in Ouroboros called "A Hero's Hero" it will take you through the first storylines where praetorians start coming to primal earth. (this takes place early in games life) Then you can run the Maria Jenkins story arc "A Hero's Epic" which is a new version, which happens around when going rogue is getting started or close to that. Ouroboros level 40+ storylines and 50+ have amazing stories revolving around the Praetorians. This is from: [Rikti Invasion of Primal Earth / Hamidon War of Praetorian Earth] 0. Original Tina Macintyre and Maria Jenkins arcs (available through Ouroboros) [A decade or more passes] 1. Goldside Praetorian arcs 2. New Tina Macintyre and Maria Jenkins arcs [Terra Volta is invaded by the Praetorians and the Freedom Phalanx attempt and fail to defend it] 3. Apex Task Force 4. Tin Mage Task Force 5. Admiral Sutter Task Force 6. Behavioural Adjustment Facility Incarnate Trial 7. Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial 8. Keyes Island Reactor Incarnate Trial [As the war progresses Praetorians start to leave the city, some fleeing to First Ward with the help of the Carnival of Light] 9. First Ward arcs 10. The Underground Incarnate Trial 11. TPN Campus Incarnate Trial 12. Minds of Mayhem Incarnate Trial 13. New Dark Astoria arcs 14. Dilemma Diabolique Incarnate Trial 15. Who Will Die? arcs (not relevant to Praetoria but are the reason why Statesman stops showing up on the radio during Incarnate Trials, but comes after Dilemma Diabolique as Sister Psyche shows up as a hostage in the Trial) 16. Night Ward arcs 17. Belladonna Vetrano arcs 18. Magisterium Incarnate Trial [Praetoria is in ruins after Tyrant loses control and Vanguard work to evacuate the remaining Praetorian citizens before Hamidon destroys everything] 19. Pandora's Box arcs (not relevant to Praetoria) 20. Praetoria's Hidden Treasure Villain Tip Mission (Level 30 Villain's lead-in to Mr. G) 21. Provost Marchand (Hero 30+) / Mr. G (Villain 30+) / Sgt. Schorr (Rogue 30-40) / The Major (Vigilante 30-40) arcs (Sgt Schorr's arc doesn't have any Praetorian content in it I think, but The Major's arc does) 22. Number Six arcs

After what he did to Statesman and Glacia, yeah, I will definitely run it just to beat his arse! GJ

Maybe there's a way for other players in the TF to see the popup windows that explain everything that is going on. Like, if leader clicks contact and gets a mission popup, we could have a button "share" that when clicked by leader, all in group get the same popup. That way others can just close the window if they already read it or just choose not to. Just an idea.

At first I thought you were serious about the only brawl. But yeah, dual boxing ruined it. I would love to hear about a new character where you only use Brawl and don't rely on dual boxing to level up. That would be amazing.

What would be the most annoying thing to find in an AE mission?
Xalon replied to PartyKake's topic in General Discussion
Very cool. I guess I've come across the bad ones. I'll take a look at forum section and spend more time trying them out. Thanks for the tips. -
I read that just for us on Homecoming, if you have the "forward" key pressed (whether arrow or W or whatever) and then press SHIFT while flying, that it will auto cycle through the 4 poses. Is this true? Because I try to stay away from addons and macros and all that extra.

About starting and/or joining TFs and Trials...
Xalon replied to Xalon's topic in General Discussion
Ok so those who que for a run solo and unlocked will get put on a team if they have it unlocked and space for new team members before it starts. Very cool. I appreciate all the responses. I know a lot is on the wiki but it's always good to get clarification from other players. That answered all my questions. So if anyone wants to use this to talk about LFG and other things, feel free to do so. If not, then this can be closed. Thanks again. -
Welcome back!

We can still have that. Just 20 player villains and 20 player heroes would be a jam packed pvp zone full of great fun. We can definitely do that. Just gotta pick a day and time and everyone go meet up for an hour.

Statesman died. I know, it's sad. He was such an awesome character. You can interact with him in certain missions which is cool, but it's part of Ouroboros content.

I need to find at least 5-10 players who can play villains and 5-10 to play heroes, so we can run Arena matches and pvp zones at least once per week for one hour. I know it's not a lot to ask for but it would be a huge help. If anyone plays on Excelsior and wants to PVP a bit, msg me ingame on @Xalon (global) or XalonMG (hero) or Xalon (villain) Or if you know of any times/days when there will definitely be some people in a pvp zone or running arenas, that would be amazing!! Thanks so much!

Welcome back! CoH is better than ever! Other than earning a bit more xp that we did on live, everything is the same - just improved. Lower cost for things, more options, more content, ongoing updates and new issues, and so much more! Glad to have you with us again! S!

What would be the most annoying thing to find in an AE mission?
Xalon replied to PartyKake's topic in General Discussion
A professionally created mission or story arc. I don't have a long experience in running AE missions, but those that I have run seem a bit off. Once I've repeated the professional content enough, then I can see myself going to AE and doing more content there. However, I don't necessarily feel like anything from AE is actually "content" because its watered down and made by amateur players. Not to be too harsh. What the devs use to create missions seems to be more robust than anything players have access to in AE. Sure, a lot of the options and systems are shared, but it will always be inferior to what can be created using the actual software the devs used/use. I don't want to feel this way because more content is always great, but from what I have seen, even the highest rating AE content doesn't feel like it's as good as real content. I know a lot of players use AE because they want to rush and powerlevel or grind or whatever else they decide to do. But can anyone recommend a mission or two on AE that gives the most robust experience possible for an AE mission? No farming missions. If I feel I have to do farming, then I definitely need a big break from the game. I never want to feel like I have to rush and usually feel more like I should slow down lol. I appreciate it. Thanks. -
About starting and/or joining TFs and Trials...

Thank you all so much for your explanations and comments. I never had a chance to use the que for anyone but myself to get to a contact, as I'm usually in a group that was formed from the chat. A few more things to clarify: In order to be teleported, team members need to be in same zone as leader or did you mean, they have to be in same zone as the TF contact? With a full team of 8/8 or a smaller team with group LOCKED, I understand we will get teleported if in the right zone. But what about being in a smaller group, say 5/8, and the group being unlocked, will it still teleport us? I think the lock/unlock is just to allow or not allow other players being put on team automatically, but not sure if that affects the teleports. Ok that's it. If you guys/gals can clarify those things, I think I'm good to go 🙂 -
After WoW being destroyed with paid level boosts, nonsense game modes and so-called "classic" realms, among other bad decisions, I didn't think I would find a new home, as WoW has been my #1 and my first ever mmorpg. But since they dropped the RPG and I came here, I have never been happier! So glad to be playing CoH with all of you and I look forward to more amazing adventures! Great devs, great people, great game!

KBs are AMAZING if used correctly. But if someone doesn't understand their powers, it could cause a lot of pain for you and your team. Good KB: You are with your team and get swarmed by mobs. And then you see two AVs approaching which your team is not ready for. Instead, you take the initiative, and hit them with a KB that sends both AVs down to a lower level of the map. This gives your team the time to finish wiping up the mobs and heal up to engage the AVs. Bad KB: You see the same AVs approaching and decide to hit them with a knockback blast. Unfortunately, you are facing the wrong way and knock them directly into your team. Team dies. No one likes you anyone. 😕 Situational awareness, knowing exactly what your powers do (and in many situations), and generally paying attention are a plus. I like starting off with a KB+AOE+NUKE which takes out a ton of health from enemies and spreads them enough so the team doesnt have to stack directly on top of each other. But it doesnt work in certain situations

It seems like all have the same experience, just Excelsior has way more players than any others.

If I have a team of 4 (3 plus me as leader) and I que, will we all be sent to the contact to start it or only the leader? I know if I select "locked" then I won't be able to add any other players. Or, does this mean no one can join the group unless they are specifically invited? I'm wondering this because I have never seen the opposite, where I start a que with 3 others, leaving it set to "open" group, and then while waiting at contact, the other spots get filled without needing to invite anyone. Therefore, working like a normal que would. Can someone fill me in on the exact details of how each option works? If I click a bunch of TFs to que for, does my name show on a list to team leaders of players available to join that run? Or if someone has a que started, and havent started the TF through contact, would I just get a slot at the first open choice. It would be great if I could join ques for TFs and Trials, without need to message someone and hope for an invite. But I don't know if it works that way or only with certain a parameters. any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Great guide! If you want to have an easier time with switching, do this: Make numbers your main powers in human form. Shift+numbers will be for your forms Shift+1 for Nova, Shift+2 for Dwarf, Shift+3 for Light form - and fill in the rest with toggles and special powers. Make Alt+numbers for your form abilities, so whenever you switch forms, you have them appear in your alt+numbers slots - easy peesy. It takes a bit to get used to it but once you do, switching forms because super simple and you can combine attacks between forms seamlessly.

Go Peacebringer. You can do a lot of Damage, heal yourself and others, and Tank with some CC as well. You will have all you need in one AT.

Until we are allowed to donate more or to have subscriptions, they will never have a budget for more than what they are already doing. And they are doing A LOT with barely any money. If we can get NCSoft to agree to a percentage deal - like they get 2/3 of sub prices and devs get 1/3 or whatever it may be - that will surely allow them to put more people on CoH full time and then we can see a lot of new things and returning things. We need to have more Arena and PVP Zones with players in them. But since you can't get threads, shards or merits from pvp, no one wants to do it. I wish more would play for FUN over getting loot. Maybe we can start organizing more pvp events together. Hmu in game I'm always down for that.

This is awesome. I always chat when running TFs, Trials and the like. I call it "Action-RP" where you aren't just sitting somwhere and spewing pages of dialog. If you act as your character would, as in, not standing on top of NPCs, using emotes, saying hello, helping other characters, etc., and chat IC while running stuff with others, it can add soooooo much to your experience! I wish more players had the patience and imagination to do it more often. So cool to see your dialog above. Great job! Lets hope more will join any type of RP!

Would be great for a full PVP expansion. Highlight base raids and add more to each pvp zone, allow duels anywhere between players, and other stuff. Incarnate pvp - now that could be fun.

There is a great "story flowchart" on forums of the praetorian story arcs, taskforces, trials and incarnate trials and other content, that is praetorian and tells that whole story or at least the main parts. So, I am looking for the story order of everything pre-going rogue and all taskforces pre-apex and the first several regular trials. If anyone knows, please post it here. For most things in Ouro I just follow the release number in order so the stories line up. Which is fine for story arcs, but for other stuff it would be great to have something to follow. Any thoughts or ideas, please share below. Thanks!
