That one trick falls apart against Rularuu, auto hit attacks in iTrials( why an SR will NEVER main tank an iTrial if the league is sane), and practically forces you to take Cardiac, or Agility. Don't think you absolutely NEED ageless though. Claws? I dunno, people keep trying to tell me it's really good. I just hate the set, the plink-plink damage early on really grinds with me, even on damage focused ATs like a Scrapper. I'm sure it does fall in the middle when all is said and done, though. Just can't justify wasting money to get it there, not when things like EM/ElecM exist.

Outside of minor art updates and what equates to George R.R Martin-level promises of more to come, they've produced nothing substantial. That's pretty much why they're considered vaporware. They've also asked for continuous donations throughout the whole process.

I think that's a fair assessment. Hey, I do the same with my Emp/Sonic and it has a pimped out build. If I'm just riding along the coat tails, why stay? Though I do have quite a few builds who add to this problem

You've literally never said one correct thing in this thread. Dude, either adapt or stop teaming with other people. Imagine the audacity of whining on a forums cause people don't team the way you want or make weak enough builds to need to do so.

Real heroes get nothing done. I mean, Peregrine still is filled with villains so you’re practically worthless. But anyway! Why is it everytime something like this comes up, people say “Well in DC/Marvel…” well this isn’t DC/Marvel. Tonal inspiration? Sure, but this isn’t some comic( thank GOD i didnt read Dc/Marvel growing up while playing CoH. Who knows, I may of ended up saying similar stuff?) in DC/Marvel’s roster. It’s CoH. Try for a moment to be creative and think in CoH lore why Heroes/Villains may work together. It’s stupid easy to do. Reeeallly concerning behavior you’ve been exhibiting, Falcon. Also if it were real, REAL heroes prolly wouldn’t be this comically altruistic. It’d be like Invincible or worse case, The Boys.

1.) I started around i6( so around 2006). I was introduced by my dad, who himself was introduced by a friend of his! 2.) Yes, I was a bit shocked and saddened, seeing as I've played the game for so long. But, it did give me a much needed wakeup call on priorities in life. I spent more time socializing with friends I hadn't talked to in awhile, got into some not-so-great but informative relationships, and had a fun time during my first two years of college( CoH came back towards the end of my third year.) 3.) I was ecstatic! I had been enjoying my time in college, but felt I was still missing something recreational to do when friends were busy, and Homecoming was the perfect fit! I quickly informed my dad and brother, and in no time, we were making new 50s. 4.) Immediately make a Necro/Dark. I never had one at 50, and I wanted to see what I was missing out on. Formed teams with my dad and brother and ran through a bunch of old content. Then made a Fire^3 dom and got it to 50. 5.) I did bring in some old builds, and used CO for costume ideas for my new 50s(a lot of my 50s that I planned to have in CoH were in CO for the time being). But after awhile I just started making new builds and cycling out my old ones, after all it was a rebirth in more ways than one. 6.) I have I think 5 50s out of all the others that I default to when bored. They have just the right amount of destructive potential that I can just turn my brain off after a stressful week and have fun! Not like the others are badly built, but require more thought. I do hope to one day make a young-adult/college-aged show which takes a bit from CoH featuring these 5 or so 50s, so that gives them a bit of a boost in my mind as far as favoritism.

Hold the hell up. I KNOW you did not just screw over Kin by skipping speed boost, the only useful thing they provide to the team besides fulcrum and sometimes transference. Delete your MM thanks.

Look chief, dedicated ATs are a waste of space on the team. If all you slot is defense, you will be left behind in endgame content, or hell any content for that matter. You don't understand CoH, but you will when my Ice/Fire BLASTER tanks the mobs your "dedicated" tank is supposed to be getting. Or my Barrier from my widow completely invalidates your entire dedicated healer. Not defender, because thats not what they are, you are a healer. Your mindset is outdated, and that's coming from a guy who played since i6.

Saying the word statistical doesnt make it true or smart. Bet you $100mil you can’t tell me the confounding variables around that study. Bet you $500mil you can’t tell me the confidence interval, margin of error, null and alternative hypothesis, sample size, testing period, questions asked…basically I think you just read this off of Facebook. Also, maybe drop a link? Saying X study with no link is what the Facebook crowd does.

Blasters do more AoE. Sents actually…they do something. Also NA maaay not be good for OP until they get IOs down pat

On IOs it's amazing, but if you're doing an SO only build? Maybe hold off on it till later I guess?

This. I mean I know how to generate 100M in 5 minutes through the AH. Not fun though but it can be done. I remember when people pointed the finger at farmers (still do), but really? If you’re pissed you can’t afford an IO or whatever asinine reason you come up with it, it’s probably 1 of 2 scenarios 1.) The flippers drive the prices up, y’know, to make a profit. 2.) You( not the person I’m quoting specifically) keep making alts without a 50 to generate income, and thusly can’t afford anything. Farmers, once again, are not the problem. I personally use my farmer only to get IOs that drop or I can buy, for myself. No one gets mad at the RPers for sitting in PD all day, but god forbid a farmer just wants to level one of their alts or buy something off the AH. Nothing against what any one else chooses to do, just my little rant. A bit tired of farmers getting flak just for choosing to play their way.

I’m insanely hype for that new content. Gives me a reason to dust off my T4 50s

Run TFs and such as others have said but I want to elaborate on a key point missed by most usually. Get ONE toon to 50. 50s generate mad inf compared to leveling toons. I’d hate to say but you gotta stop making and playing alts full stop until this is done, otherwise you’ll never be able to afford IOs

Rad Armor or Bio. They have a tool for anything you may need. And rad is basically dark with all the problems of dark fixed. Rad is…grossly broken. I mean I’ve tanked, on a brute, the red robot while at 1hp literally, thanks to the absorb shield being perma on Rad. This is a brute, by the way. And can cap all my res except I think Cold, with Meltdown and have pretty good res without it. A tank would be disgusting with Rad. No set, imo, even remotely compares. Besides Bio.

Now I want to see the numbers of AT out there at 50/played.

How are you playing it? And cascading def failure is a thing unfortunately. Blasters, when played well, do not die like this. Can attest, have several at 50 that do great. Sents may just vibe with your playstyle, but blasters being inferior is a lie
