I think that creates it’s own problems. If folks never feel they can PUG it, how can the content get more facetime? I did try pugging it and it was rough, but I hope folks dont just scuttle away into their own little community. Instead I propose this: Folks who know should try and help players through it so we get a wider pool to play with, instead of just chalking it up to a lost cause. But because I know folks won’t do this, I’ll instead try to. On Fridays post page 4 launch, I will be running relentless runs of Aeon and ITF( not on the same day I’m not insane and sure as hell dont have time for that :P) The kicker? It’ll be PUGed. I want 2-3 silent helpers to see things along/make sure the newer folks get THROUGH the run, and the rest will be off of LFG. I think this would circulate more folks through HM because: 1.) It’s on a day I figure more folks will have time. I’m hoping to run it in the late ish afternoons to allow more folks to get in on it! 2.) It shows the newer folks that yes this content CAN be done by you, and yes there ARE teams patient enough to help you through it. I hope some folks here will join me in this effort!

As I see HM content I think things will play out like this: Similar to when Aeon came out, ITF will hijack the WST to drive interest in HM runs. You'll see more Kill Most than HM. ITF HM, since it has the benefit of being a well known TF in it's own right, will see a few more months of activity than Aeon Since there is no secret fight to ITF that requires badges, I think most folks will run it at 1-3 stars at the most. After, being conservative in guessing here, ~4-6 months? The novelty of this TF will run out completely and folks won't run it anymore, at least not the higher HM's. A very small part of the community will run it like they do relentless Aeon. Outside of that see bullet #4 While the forums may not be a great indicator, it's all we've got. In-game is too volatile. This poll and subsequent comments show me that probably on a large-scale bullets 3-4 apply. Bullet #5 will encompass the remainder. Not a bad thing, but I stand by this forecast of events, would be interested to be proven wrong though.

They will still be fine. My blasters, esp. Fire/Time, will not even notice this change. All 50's going forward will just build for Ranged and call it a day, unless it's poison. Then build for Melee I guess? Still tempted to just slap Ranged DEF on it too and call it a day. I take these changes as: You now don't objectively HAVE to take Scorp Shield. Now it's just a choice, and you can still be survivable to everything.

I think CC works. When I ran it, we were at 4 star and we just tried to smack em down/more often just died😛

I call it “sweaty” or “minmax” content. I usually do it once or periodically but thats what the content essentially is. …..That doesnt mean I wont do it 😛

I get what you’re trying to say, but because you dont play endgame, you have no idea how difficult this content ACTUALLY is. Let me tell you as someone who does? It’s not easy and folks wont be steamrolling through it. Also, the fact I can just trade the PAPs means this would be invalidated immediately as a solution

I understand the poll is rather simple, so please feel free to elaborate moreso in the comments! If you do run HM content, could you please state which star difficulty you run it at? How often do you run HM content and do you personally plan to run the content more or less once Page 4 drops?

Get 50, send to new toon. That's about their only "financial" value once P4 drops. Or I guess making a new T4. Can make threads for an ultimate if you want? I'll miss their conversions, but it's not gonna be the end of the world for me. What I will do is regard them like astrals; useless garbage once I've gotten T4's on everything unless I want my new toon to have an incarnate head-start, which I usually don't 😛 (It takes the fun out of playing the 50 for me. I know I'm weird buzz off 😆)

Anything works really, this isn’t Aeon. I brought a therm and did good, and seeing that it’s just ITF with extra steps, what’s brought now should suffice. ‘course, you’ll want to be T4’ed depending on the star rating, but the usual teams( of course everyone should be 50 too :P) should in theory work for this, from my experience.

This! I dont have all day to earn a new 50 every single time. To me, why waste a week, when I can get one in 3-5 hours on a weekend AND IO it in a few hours? And thats with a cheap build im too lazy to update. Also PUG’ing sucks while leveling to me, hell at times it’s garbage at 50.

And they're not the toughest. They're a joke with the audacity to think they aren't. Well, currently, maybe in the future they won't be 😛

Its the only reason I do a hami raid and even then I miss a good amount on purpose in favor of TFs or iTrials. Hami is to me the objective worse endgame content to ever exist in CoH. Lucky it has 120 merits attached to it( back to back run)

Thermal’s great with Symphany too. Buffs your pet’s natural res, and is a great all rounder for teams. Took mine into a 4* ITF and did great with it. Granted on HM most healy/buffy support sets tend just become buff/heal bots( which sucks and actually makes me very concerned about the implementation of HM as is in general but thats for another thread), but overall the pairing still works great.

Ehh even I've thrown off prices significantly on a few IOs that I really REAALLY wanted in that moment. Didn't seem to last beyond a day thankfully or a few hours but I've done it. In my defense: I wasn't doing it purely out of malice, it was moreso because I wanted it NAOW, so paid extreme buy it now prices due to a RL time crunch.
