Look chief, dedicated ATs are a waste of space on the team. If all you slot is defense, you will be left behind in endgame content, or hell any content for that matter. You don't understand CoH, but you will when my Ice/Fire BLASTER tanks the mobs your "dedicated" tank is supposed to be getting. Or my Barrier from my widow completely invalidates your entire dedicated healer. Not defender, because thats not what they are, you are a healer. Your mindset is outdated, and that's coming from a guy who played since i6.

Bet you $500mil you can’t tell me the confidence interval, margin of error, null and alternative hypothesis, sample size, testing period, questions asked…basically I think you just read this off of Facebook. Also, maybe drop a link? Saying X study with no link is what the Facebook crowd does.

Blasters do more AoE. Sents actually…they do something. Also NA maaay not be good for OP until they get IOs down pat

On IOs it's amazing, but if you're doing an SO only build? Maybe hold off on it till later I guess?

This. I mean I know how to generate 100M in 5 minutes through the AH. Not fun though but it can be done. I remember when people pointed the finger at farmers (still do), but really? If you’re pissed you can’t afford an IO or whatever asinine reason you come up with it, it’s probably 1 of 2 scenarios 1.) The flippers drive the prices up, y’know, to make a profit. 2.) You( not the person I’m quoting specifically) keep making alts without a 50 to generate income, and thusly can’t afford anything. Farmers, once again, are not the problem. I personally use my farmer only to get IOs that drop or I can buy, for myself. No one gets mad at the RPers for sitting in PD all day, but god forbid a farmer just wants to level one of their alts or buy something off the AH. Nothing against what any one else chooses to do, just my little rant. A bit tired of farmers getting flak just for choosing to play their way.

Run TFs and such as others have said but I want to elaborate on a key point missed by most usually. Get ONE toon to 50. 50s generate mad inf compared to leveling toons. I’d hate to say but you gotta stop making and playing alts full stop until this is done, otherwise you’ll never be able to afford IOs

Rad Armor or Bio. They have a tool for anything you may need. And rad is basically dark with all the problems of dark fixed. Rad is…grossly broken. I mean I’ve tanked, on a brute, the red robot while at 1hp literally, thanks to the absorb shield being perma on Rad. This is a brute, by the way. And can cap all my res except I think Cold, with Meltdown and have pretty good res without it. A tank would be disgusting with Rad. No set, imo, even remotely compares. Besides Bio.

Now I want to see the numbers of AT out there at 50/played.

How are you playing it? And cascading def failure is a thing unfortunately. Blasters, when played well, do not die like this. Can attest, have several at 50 that do great. Sents may just vibe with your playstyle, but blasters being inferior is a lie

Fair point. And as a highlight back from my earlier post. Again, chasing capped res on AN AT WITH 75% RES CAPS is a bad idea. Not that NO res is the answer( Dread and Arcane, reading helps 😌. Try it.). It’s my fault for going without saying that in a solo setting, scorp shield or ice will be better objectively. Without melee core, for benefits. Also? Solo’ing the hardest content and trying to laude elitism on a forum is uh..,eh screw the formality go outside. (Not directed as you Miss 😀)

When you start tagging your opinions as such I will 😏 or…say it with me, you can just….admit you were uhh…wrong. Also I dont care how many 50s you have on HC. I had 25 preshutdown and 37 now. Not impressed even slightly, try again. Love when people post there lil 50s. Its too fun for me. Also I bet at that pount most of your 50s use SOs or training IOs. All mine have capped def for the most part, so I actually know what I’m talking about when it comes to def but good show!

Alright 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’ve chased res on my Fire/Atomic/Lev and while it has capped res to all damage types, it doesn’t really do what yall think it does for blasters but hey, someones gotta be vengebait so go ahead! I’m no powergamer min/max, I just have seen first hand that res does NOT work great for anything but tanks/brutes, HEATS/Veats( well, chasing high res that is). Like I said, unless you’re a concept builder, Do NOT take force over Mace. You can choose to not listen but see the first paragraph in this post.

Do not listen to a single word of that last paragraph. This right here will get you a subpar blaster in 5 sec flat. Mace and Ice are objectively the best, everything else except Mu, which is objectively the best res PPP, is subjective. I cannot stress this enough DO NOT go force over Mace EVER. Do. NOT.

Normally I do and most of what I said still stands. Okay you’ve got what? 7 people thanking you , I’ll concede on the hyperbole, but once again, this doesn’t give you the right of passage to be a jerk in you’re last review of that creator’s arc. Look, we’re trying to encourage others to write more here, not tear em down. I’d imagine with that last comment on that individual’s arc, they’d be less receptive to feedback.

Now look, that last bit really isn’t necessary. And you wonder why people don’t respond to you( well, generally I know why, most either forgot about the arc or don’t care to give you the time of day). Give constructive feedback not just yelp like reviews. Also, you’re talking about them ego-stroking? Dude you have a whole thread about reviews and you’re no cranebump( sorry if I got your name wrong crane!). Hell you don’t even HAVE a story to review. Who are you to give any authoritative review on AE? Hell, even crane doesn’t really do that, they offer feedback to help the artist. Now, this isn’t my arc obviously, I have 3 of my own for me to play through about my characters, not really written like this, but still. Offer actually good feedback, people will respond more. Give it a go!

People think blasters are squishy( bad players think this). I’d tell em a scrapper is a tank-lite and should be tanking the AVs, and if they were any good, they’d have been tanking the AVs.

I do all of this, and I get where you’re coming from. All I’m saying is for those who want to farm, they shouldnt be considered not playing. 😀 also no one needs to farm and if I wanted to be smart with my time? I’d log into one of my 50s with loads of merits, convert and sell, and within 15 minutes at most, have over 130mil. And thats just one of my 50s. No TF, no hami, 15 minutes of half-assed thinking and selling. But all that aside, I agree with fun/hr over inf. Just not the farm hate since a lot of the haters inadvertently benefitted from farmers way back when the servers came back.
