So you can’t run two instances? If you can why the bashing of this thread? Plus they’ll all still be fine. Plenty of farms to go around! Not from me. (I immediately stop when I’m 50 and farming is mad exhausting). Sounds like you’re mad you can’t run two instances, no one makes this big a fuss unless it struck close to home.

I love a good bit of positivity! I would say my favorite is my Ice/Fire, Pariah Equinox. For one, love my head canon for her, and for two, her build came together rather quickly. Capped def, Capped res. She is the reason I say Blasters are anything but squishy, she literally disproves their stereotype to concerning levels( tanked Reich at +2 on her. With a Brute on the team.) Plus! She has raw damage to spare. Great for days where I want to kinda just turn my brain off and get lots of kills.

Yeah I usually don’t like Pylons because they don’t factor in things like res and enemies running( very common issues for scraps unfortunately) but, if people wanna, I’ll just leave ‘em to it. After all, as long as the enemy’s dead that’s all that matters! (That’s right, imma rogue >:D)

I want to apologize for that, I didn’t mean to, or even think, that I would throw it off like this. Truly just meant to give my opinion on the set (Claws) but, I can understand I came off as harsher than intended. Then it kinda got a lil weird with the uhm, RL stuff posted. But back onto which one to make; Like I said, Mace. Burst imo will serve you better in today’s meta, and /WP comes with free recov!

Sure they do. And likewise, though it usually wasn’t over something this…trite. Going forward(pro tip, if I may?): 1.) It’s okay to not have the full picture, or to be wrong. 2.) Never show a person who knows builds(not me, btw! I make plenty of mistakes on my builds haha) pylon times. Ever. 3.) When you say something, have ample evidence if you’re wanting to assert a “fact”(read up on that words definition too), not one piece and some vague passive aggressive remark. Have fun out there!

And reading and understanding are two seperate things. I see you READ my message but fail to understand it. I agreed it probably tops the charts on DPS but, seeing it in action, what I said still stands, in my PERSONAL experiences, as well. Fun fact: DPS too is not really relevant overall, it’s burst. Why do you think people rag on Judgements so hard? DPS is nice sure but why would I want to take 5-6 hits on something that could, with good burst, 2-3, or even 1? And lastly? Were those sheets from your build? Why would I care? For all I know you may very well be a middling builder and not know how to min-max. Not to say I think you’re well, that, but you get my point there? You do not constitute any kind of authority on what is a fact, neither do I. EDIT: Wait a minute are those damn PYLON TIMES? You’re kidding me right? THATS your argument? Pylons?! Aren’t folks universally aware thats a niche way to compare builds? (They are, btw, that was a rhetorical question)

Ya know, I don’t do the whole spreadsheet thingy, so maybe? But claws never seems to dog walk a single melee 50 of mine. In fact I dog walk them, but maybe I guess on a more technical level they would? But I know if they’re on my team, I never have to worry about contending with them for damage And if I’m on my ranged? Claws doesn’t exist even as a damage set period, on a team setting that is, unless, say im just on my terribly slow animation ranged toons. Or my FM brute, but I didn’t expect much from FM ***Based on my performance I’ve never felt like Claws came anywhere close to stealing the spotlight so to speak against any of my melees, they were just another melee to me

I agree with this take. I never read any comics besides neil gaimen’s sandman, and as such, have no comics to recreate even if I wanted to( I don’t). But I do have a lot of inspiration to pull from from other sources. And I tend to follow your same approach

Kinda? Could be a coincidence though. On my alt account I have a scrapper named Geode Thief, and saw someone in ouro named Geode Marauder. They zoned before I could observe their costume but maybe they were a fan 😄

Without procs? yeah no it’s terrible damage. But thanks to procs it won’t have to rely on /Fire to carry! That being said, terrible damage or not, you can still do pretty decently with it! I just once again wouldn’t go in with the thought of being in top damage on a team

People forget, not every set plays like a ho hum cookie cutter ez i win button set. Leveraging melee on a fender with poison is key( and easy af too. I mean..it’s not even expensive I- nvm going off on a tangent :P)

I love my poison/fire fender. And, seeing that poison has its best values on a fender, it does kinda make me blind to say, the woes of the MM using poison( I mean, it’s not HORRIBLE on MM, and absolutely shines in PvP like always and AV hunting but still.). I played poison back when the debuffs were ST only and it still wasnt horrible. Now? Saying it needs help? Well, I just chalk it up to build advice on the forums from a non min max perspective. Just nod and walk away…

I’ll have to disagree on the Dark Armor comment. Rad is Dark but, maddeningly better. In fact, every time I look at DA when making a brute I think, why not just be Rad Armor? Don’t get me wrong DA is exceptable. But compared to Rad it’s very much lacking.

Oddly enough, I knew of CoH before anything listed above! Fair point though. But, just cause you dont know of or follow Marvel, DC, etc…doesn’t mean you can’t know of CoH. I mean in today’s landscape it’s harder to not know of Marvel and DC but I was a kid playing this way back. And back then, Marvel/DC weren’t all that mainstream, if at all, at least in my experience. Also I play it ‘cause it’s good, I’ve been here since ‘06, and cause I want to. Problem? 😝 jk on the snark.

This here is why I thank whatever entity out there that I never watched, was interested in, or even heard of this TNG growing up. It’s great if they know it, but it only leads to…well this. Same thing for not caring about LOTR or Star Wars. Or Marvel, or DC. Huh…guess I really did miss all the major points of contention in regards to “nerd” culture

I view CoH from the lens of Invincible. At least for my characters. Maybe a lil Dresden files too, seeing as most are magic haha

Well this went beyond the threat, but still true. But, back on thread a lil. My character’s alignment is unique to them. It just so happens I happen to have slightly more rogues than I do vigilantes. And only what, 3 heroes maybe? Actually, I think 2. And one VILLAIN villain. Without trying to sidebar, I hope one day to make a show centered around most of my toons. And murder as a Hero, for the few that will be truly heroic, is a last resort [Foolish as that may be in some cases]. The rest? Well, they don’t try and pretend, it’s just the way life goes. Honestly? If -I- were given powers, my first thought wouldnt be to be a hero, it’d be to be a Rogue. Use em for maximum profit! I do enjoy threads like these. Really peaks my interest/curiosity on what would a society with superpowered folks in it look like?
