  1. If it gets to the point it annoys the hell out of me, and it might, good to know there is an alternative of switching it out for Contaminated Strike.
  2. I gotcha now, I thought you meant in terms of a continuous rotation. And it was throwing me off that it would end and start with siphon strike. I think youre right and the 10% is totally worth it, I've picked up Devastating and been using it a bit. My recharge at 30s isn't quite where it needs to be but I actually prefer the rotation with Devastating compared to the second one.
  3. Man I'm bad with attack chains and the math on them, so I'm just flat out no help there. But if you are correct then its less than 100 damage there. But where would you fit in the Siphon exactly, if you put it in at the end then it would mess the rotation wouldn't it?
  4. Thanks, yall are completely right. And I looked at the build and looks like I'll need it anyways. Usually I have Gloom or similar filler from Epics, but taking the Teleport pool for Fold Space on this one, so I could use the extra attack at times. I"m iffy on how much I'll like Fold Space end game, since it sometimes lines them up oddly. But if I end up redoing it later I can revisit this.
  5. Like seriously, what is this about? Whole chain of them going way back in the thread all of sudden.
  6. I'm currently working on a Rad Melee/Energy Aura brute. I've got the build made and I typically don't use Proton Sweep or Devastating Blow much. I've got Cross Punch already, and will be using one of those as a mule/maybe fire off sometimes power. Whichever one I take will be using the same 5 piece set, so that's not a consideration. So for those out there that have played Rad, which of the two attacks do you get more mileage out of, Proton Sweep or Devastating Blow?
  7. Using telnet protocol in the downstairs computer lab in the uni library. Sitting in the far back of course, hoping the techs didn't notice what you were doing. Fun times, I'd occasionally dream in green text.
  8. Lancer shot is definitely something you want to take IMO. Not only does it do solid damage and mag 3 stun, I believe it was set to guarantee Disintegration spread a year or so back. It's a must have for the set for me, and fits nicely in the rotation. The only ones I skip are Charged Shot, as it's only slightly better than Single Shot and doesn't have the -regen Single Shot does with Disintegrate. Cutting Beam depends really on the character, I've taken it and procced it, currently skipping it on the build I have now. Sometimes having a single aoe in the form of a cone is worse than none at all, for me. I hope you enjoy the set! While it is really low in aoe damage, in single target vs. avs and gms it's probably my favorite set. And it has that ranged AOE nova that you can't help but love.
  9. I wish I knew how to fix Psy, but I agree it does need a look at it. I think back in the old days, belief was that it would be strong considering how few enemies resist psionic. But as you get higher in levels it's a little less rare, and the big thing is when an enemy does resist it, they resist it to a huge degree. It has two aoes, a cone and the strange tornado, and a bunch of single targets, and a fairly strong PBAOE nova. It has a lot of -recharge, and some disorient, one or two with KB or KU. It like it doesn't know what it wants to be, or what range it wants to operate at. I want to like it but it's hard atm, and I rarely use any type of Psy unless it's dominator or blaster secondary, maybe the occasional epic/patron. Maybe others get better mileage and it's just me.
  10. I understand that, I don't think Psychic on a whole is really my playstyle. Though my first ever character back on live was a rad/psi defender. I've just never been a huge fan of the set, though /Pain is pretty good all around as a heal/buff set. I lean more toward debuffs nowdays, so not the combo for me.
  11. My current fix is Freeze Rae, a Beam/Cold. Quickly becoming one of my favorites, but I do say that about all the alts usually.
  12. CJ makes flight more maneuverable, FYI. Won't help you like it any more though.
  13. I never realized that the procs did not also fire off on all targets. I guess its too good to have otherwise with it's significantly lower recharge.
  14. Yeah my Mids has been wonky sliders lately, I'm not sure what it is. I'm hoping a newer update will fix it. I think you're taking different version of tight here than intended. I just mean it's a very well-thought out and designed set, think of someone calling a new car "clean". They aint talking about the literal cleanliness of it. I get so used to talking the way we do around here, I forget our colloquialisms don't always translate into text.
  15. I am fairly sure Mids incorrectly displays Energy Drain values. But it is far more than 2%. It stacks multiple times, more than the ten times slider allows in MIds. Maybe at 2-5 enemies it's lackluster for defense only (still rocks the end). But I find I fire it off so often on groups that I'm always carrying around 9-10 stacks, sometimes closer to 15 to 20 especially on my brute. It is far from a tiny amount of defense then. I'm actually curious what the maximum number of of stacks is, may have to do some farming runs to test it. This conversation is weird. It's no a threat to SR, Nin, or any other set. Hell I still prefer Stone personally. But it is a very tight set that offers some things the others don't, or earlier than they get them, and more importantly offers flavor when you've tried the others and need something new.
  16. Last tick on enemies at times. Especially with groups of them, yeah. In the case of Rad Melee's Irradiate Ground, it can be a damned fine proc machine.
  17. I love it on stalker and its fine on brute so far. But having a little buyers remorse for not picking stone instead for the brute. Mid 30s and the lack of damage aura and HP cap is noticeable. But ill stick it out since ive already got stone scrapper and tank.
  18. Big time current stan for Stone Armor, I can't lie about it. So I absolutely agree with you here. But in all the years I've played this, never gave EA a shot before, even on live. So currently in the middle of a romance with the set.
  19. How? I just can't see this, and don't see it either of the current EA characters I'm running. I'm only running a single perf shifter proc in stamina, but between energy drain and energize I will never need more. Plus a decent amount of end res debuff means not worrying so much about sappers. Are you judging the set pre-energy drain and energize maybe? I feel like if you have issues with a 15 second or so full end recharge, and perma ~60% end reduction to all powers, you must be dragging an entire map of clocks or freaks behind you.
  20. Nope, damn. I second claws/ea too then.
  21. Probably Claws/Bio like Bill says. But also consider Claws/Stone, I've got a scrapper variant I love and have seriously considered porting to a brute.
  22. Yep, if you'll watch it it does aoe KB to 5 enemies in the impact zone, in addition to damage + KB to your target.
  23. Trick Arrow and Poison are very solid choices for a non-healing defender as well. Not much in the way of buffs, but a lot in the way of debuffing enemies to be limp noodles. And both have some solid damage options in their primary as well.
  24. Give the new Stone Armor a shot, It has a lot of good tools to it, end recovery, regen, heal, max hp, damage proc as well as some nicely capped defenses and good resistances too. I've been running a Claws/Stone scrapper for several weeks now, and it's definitely able to hold its own against most things, even at +4x8.
  25. Well shit, gonna have to refigure my propel now too. Glad to know at least.
