Here we go... It was in the Everlasting server-specific bit of the forum: My pair are an Archery/Time Corruptor and an Ice/Dark Blaster.

Down in the.... Roleplay forum I want to say?... We have a series of tables for random rolling sets and ATs. I'll see if I can find it. I've done two characters that way so far.

We'll have to agree to disagree, then. I would find an SG-mate trying to weedle me into staying after I felt I was done with the game more than a little annoying. I'd probably tell them to mind their own business and to stop pestering me over how I chose to spend (or not spend-) my limited play time.

Fair enough... But isn't "wanting people to think about it" hoping to change or influence the way they play?

The tone of the entire opening post is essentially "I think you're playing in a bad way and you should feel bad for doing it because you're killing the game".

I didn't say he wasn't entitled to his opinion. We all are. I'm just saying that he shouldn't expect to be able to tell other people how to play.

I'd say that having to deal with the perpetual angst and clutching-of-proverbial-pearls from busybodies who would just *love* to dictate how everyone around them is allowed to play is also a threat to player satisfaction, and with it player retention. To each their own, Solar. Play the way you want. Leave the rest of us to do our own thing in peace. It's not your place to tell anyone else what they're allowed to like.

Huh. 'Never thought I'd see someone getting grumpy over people having access to the zone teleport... I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I admit that I am. o_0 It's reminding me a little of the arguments we saw back-in-the-day when Fitness went inherent.

I don't think so, Solar. You can do that in Aion. I'm almost 100% certain that we've never had a feature like that in the City.

Nice! And much less annoying on the badge-hunting front for those of us who are going to be relying heavily on the LRT to get around. 👍

The LRT (if you've got the badges for it-) is more efficient than any of those for those of us who are stuck with slower-than-proverbial-Christmas loading times.

Mr.CD and I used to duo his Fire/Energy Blaster (who was more of a Blapper in play-style) with my Willpower/Dual Blade Tank (who was built to be more like a heavy Scrap than a tank-proper). They were great fun together.

'Was about to say... Assuming LRT availability across the board when making that calculation seems a little dicey to me. It's just not going to be that universal, I suspect. Not on every players' every alt.

To me, it definitely sounds like your friends are being more than a little unreasonable. I can't promise that you WON'T find people doing that kind of thing on Ev... But it's not something I've run into myself. Some of my characters and their friends have busted those Skulls in King's Row a fairly ridiculous number of times now... And "Man, these guys just NEVER learn-" has always been the order of the day. 🤣

Kai and Arte and their friends, comparing notes about their similar experiences with... any set of goons, really: "Yeah. These guys just NEVER learn, do they? I mean, how many times can you fail at trying to take over the world AND STILL KEEP TRYING? Every week, it's the same thing. Gotta give them points for determination, but... Sheesh." In other words, it's just the goons being stubborn. And not terribly creative with their Fiendish Plans.
