  1. Asymmetrical wings would be pretty excellent. Well worth adding to the Suggestions forum, I'd say.
  2. Bio was definitely on the test server before shut-down. FlyingCodeMonkey (Mr. Coyote) was testing it with a "mudbug" scrap named Bayou. 'Ugliest little red spud you've ever seen... But pretty convincing as a mutant crayfish.
  3. I'll always be sad about not getting that moonbase. 😥
  4. Since I've gotten shark-bait to the point of working on his iToys this week, I decided to start another new one... a Dark/Dark Dom named Shuyet.
  5. Those blinky little nut-jobs are adorable. Sometimes annoying, yes... But still adorable. I may be biased about that, though. Tav (one of my Oranbegans-) is, after all, still in the mail-order Wailer business. 🧐
  6. The trade-off was that, originally, the Panther transformation also granted Stealth... It gave up some of its jump to account for that extra utility. For some reason, that Stealth was removed from the power in the SCoRE days, but the jump numbers were apparently never adjusted to account for that loss.
  7. I'd like to have the option of using the tails tuxedo coat on winged characters again. That option was only removed very, very late in the Live game's run, years after the tails coat was added.
  8. Go with grace, Cyclone, until we see you again in the field of reeds.
  9. Maybe so... but like I said, I thought it was funny. I thought it was worth telling him WHY.
  10. Guess I should have just ignored BB's lecture instead of replying. 🤣 I just thought it was funny he was trying to lecture me on that particular topic, given what I spent my college days doing. Sorry to have contributed to spamming up the thread.
  11. You do know that my academic background is in Anthropology, right? (Historical Ethnology specifically-)... 'Have the economically-useless university degrees and everything. 😝 There are no absolute universals when it comes to human behavior, but some underlying patterns are reasonably well established. The fact that we're pretty typical of troupe primates in more ways than some of us might be comfortable with hasn't really been up for debate in... well, decades, honestly. That strong preference for in-group/out-group social constructs and for forming hierarchies within and between discreet groups that I mentioned? Social Psychologists figured that one out long before the evolutionary types got in on it. Anyway, a real throw down on the good, the bad and the ugly of evolutionary psychology and exactly how it relates to ourselves and our primate cousins is pretty well outside the scope of a thread about dealing with assholes and blow-hards in a superhero MMO. If anyone is really interested, there have been reams written on the subject.
  12. As far as I know, the devs here have never posted any numbers about the SO vs common IO vs Set-build question for Homecoming characters. It would be interesting to see how the situation here compares to the "people mostly use SOs" bit the devs in the old days found.
  13. I was duo ToTing with a friend last weekend, and we were seeing a lot of the rubberbanding. There was a lot of "Damnit, Vampire.... Make up your mind!" 😝
  14. Taking a Benadryl might help with the itching, too. It'll block some of the histamine reaction you're having to that evil stuff.
  15. The insular-group thing definitely happens... But that was as true back in the live days as it is now, and isn't in any way limited to the City world. Humans are troupe primates. Like every other related species, we're all about hierarchies and the boundaries between in-groups ("us") and out-groups ("them"). It's just a part of who and what we are, so the behavior and social constructs are damned near universal. So... no way a multiplayer video game was ever going to be free of that. No human group interaction ever really is.
  16. Preeeeetty sure Power Creep already exists on Everlasting, at least. I think I may even have PUGed with him once upon a time. 😝
  17. Running with different crowds, maybe... Some content does seem to attract more IOed characters than other things, like we were talking about upthread with the Hami raids, and there's always going to be some difference between various parts of the community. I'd fully expect a group recruited from, say, a channel full of devoted badgers or task force runners to tend more towards set-builds than a group that was pulled entirely from an RP-centric SG, for instance. I may spend more time with the later while you're mostly running with the former.
  18. And here I thought *I* was a nut for having three versions of Kai.... 😝
  19. When 8-player PUG Hamis become commonplace... then it'll look like an issue. Until then? It's just an example of how far a determined group of power-gamers can push a specific set of min/maxed-to-the-nines builds.
  20. I don't think it would be BadWrong to be able to transfer iBits to other characters on your own account... but I'd draw the line at being able to auction house them, or trade them between accounts. Doing the work yourself on one character and having it benefit another of your crew doesn't seem terrible to me, in other words, but having someone else entirely do the work for you? That would be an issue.
  21. Yeah... Hami raids do seem to be one of those places where the "build invested" gather. Ship raids are really variable, but the "usual suspect" core characters you see showing up at almost every one also tend to be among the better-geared-than-average. I don't spend a huge amount of time in iTrials, so I have less of a feel for the crowd there, but just given the investment of time Incarnation represents, I suspect those characters would also be on the more-tuned side. That's content that at least marginally more serious players seem to be drawn to over the real casual types.
