  1. On those few little days that I've won... I find myself wondering if that happened because something I said struck people as a Good Thing, or if it was something bone-headed that resulted in a pile of google-eyed WTFs. Even odds, I'd say. 🤣
  2. I've never had any desire to make one myself... but I've run with a few who definitely made my Inner Twelve Year-Old snicker. One particular water blaster with a white slime aura on his hands and some interesting dialogue binds that were definitely skirting the edges of the Teen rating. A cannibal who thought her team-mates looked tasty and wasn't shy about saying so. The Stalker who was a stalker... All played for obvious humor and so taken in that spirit, 'Not so sure I disagree with your Kung Flu getting the boot, though. That's not a "PC Thing"... that's a "Don't rub salt in somebody's wounds"-thing. Covid's just affected too many people in too many places in too serious a way to be good fodder for jokes, I think. But then, maybe that's just my bias at having lost a coworker that I was fond of to it back in May, and then having to watch a friend go through losing his wife in November. That makes it too raw to be funny. The Inappropriate Cat-Girls and Gross References and such, though? Have at it, I say. Sometimes questionable humor is the kind we all need. Even if we aren't willing to admit it. XD
  3. This is actually a repost of something that I put together for another thread in the main portion of the forum... I thought it might be fun to keep a maintained and updated copy here too as one of those Character Lists that some folks have. While I'm not much of an active roleplayer anymore outside of casual RP mission teams, sometimes it's still fun to know who's who and which nutball bird-thing or creepy Oranbegan you might have been running with. 'Gives me a good place to eventually post biographical bits and random screens of the gang, too. ====================== Total Number of Characters on my main account (@Coyotedancer): 75 Total Number of Characters on my secondary account (@Laughingcrow): 3 Total Number of Characters on my third account (@Brightfires): 1 Number of Completed characters (Equipped and Incarnated level 50s): 77 Number of Incomplete characters: 2 (Chujak & Palrah) Brutes: 8 Blasters: 3 Corruptors: 5 Controllers: 4 Defenders: 13 Dominators: 1 Masterminds: 2 Peacebringers: 2 Scraps: 9 Sentinels: 10 Stalkers: 17 Tanks: 3 SoA Widows: 1 Characters on Excelsior: 12 Characters on Everlasting: 67 Origins: All Magic. Except for Grey Kestrel and Skyrunner (As an escaped pair of Crey Science projects, they're the oddballs-) Heroes: 62 (*) Rogues: 13 Vigs: 3 Villains: 1 (*) Quite a few more of my Oranbegans ought to be rogues, but the majority of their play-time is spent with hero-side teams, which can make having a villain-side alignment problematic when it comes to forming and staying on those teams. So... They pretend to be heroes for reasons of sheer playtime practicality. I don't have the time or patience to build two identical red/blue-side versions of every one of them like I did with Kai. ======================
  4. I've done it intentionally... There are two identically-built/equipped/Incarnated versions of my main, for instance. The original red-side Rogue, Kaikara, and a blue-side Hero version called White Thorn. And I've had different characters on separate servers that had the same "back end" design (Aegis of Serenity here on Homecoming and Ferryman on closed beta are both Illusion/Time Controllers with very similar builds. Palrah back in the Live days and Khata here are both WP/DB Tanks with basically the same build, too.) but a completely unrelated look and backstory. But... so far, at least... it's never happened accidentally. Then again, I'm a relative light-weight in the world of Altitis. I only have 56 characters here, which is a small crew compared to some of you guys.
  5. I love my DarkityDarkDark Defender... and my Dark Sentinels (Tav is Dark/Bio, while Shonokin is Dark/WP)... My DarkityDarkSoul "tentacle blaster" is pretty good fun, too. XD
  6. I've only done it solo... and only on the red side... but agree based on what I've seen so far. I was soloing it at a modest +1 on a native-level 34 Rad/Ice Stalker with an attuned and maybe 75% complete IO set-build. (No slouch, in other words, and probably a little tougher than a Joe Average average mid-level character) and there were still bits that were definitely dicey for her. The ambushes and adds tend to spawn right on top of each other, so you'll find yourself facing very large groups of goons out of nowhere in the middle of fighting several of the assorted bosses and EBs. Be prepared for that. Also, bees are cowards and your friends will run off to the far corners of the map chasing swarms of them... Leaving you to potentially face quite a few Angry Things alone. <_< Be ready for that, too. Also, Bile is a klutz. Who gets stuck on landscape objects. A lot. 🤣
  7. Once in awhile, on those "don't let X escape" missions, the goon in question will actually spawn behind you... On the second floor, say, while you're on the third. In that case it's really, really easy for them to get out without you realizing it.
  8. Welcome back to the City. ^_^
  9. The animations are still slower than proverbial Christmas, so that doesn't change.... and definitely get the two Stalker ATO procs, if nothing else. They're game-changers on any flavor of Stalker. I think the combination of somewhat more controllable crits (Burst straight out of Hide in the middle of a mob of goons is good fun. 🤣 ) and having a regular build-up is what makes the difference. I ended up absolutely hating the KM Scrap I had back-in-the-day... mostly because of how poorly he handled in comparison to the KM Stalker I'd made at the same time. (Shade became a favorite. Poor Solace got exiled to a server I never played on.) They were both KM/WP. My main here, Kaikara, is KM/Bio... which gives her the added option of running in Offensive Adaptation mode. She hits like a sack of bricks.
  10. I'd say try it out on a Stalker, and see what you think of the set with a regular Build-Up instead of that weirdness the other melee ATs got stuck with. I've been more impressed with how the set handles without that.
  11. That's the kind of luck I usually have. XD
  12. Mr.Coyote's favorite fire-farmer is a Fire/Energy Blaster... He's had great fun with that one. S/L-farming with DB/Rad Brute has its moments, too, and is an interesting change of pace from all-fire all-the-time.
  13. PREZZIES! CanesCanesCanesCanesCanesCanesCanes
  14. Hulk becoming sort of the superhero version of "Dude"... 🤣
  15. I usually have pretty questionable luck with Winter packs, but the set I cracked open this morning were pretty generous. 45 packs in total have resulted in 55 Winter O's, which is what I was really after. That'll give me a nice little stash for both the current brute project and some future tinkering. Otherwise? A few hundred Brainstorms, 300 Merits, 145 Candycanes, 3 Catalysts, 2 Respec tokens, a few Converters and Boosters, a bunch of junk Inspies and a handful of temp powers.
  16. Yep. That's the way they've worked for ages... Things like Ice and Thermal's shields likewise.
  17. I transferred Winterlight from Torch to Everlasting this morning... She hadn't been logged on since before i27 went live, and like the cases mentioned upthread she didn't get the LRT accolade when I did log her on today. She had the Citizen of Salamanca accolade. I'm going to go ahead and get Atlas Tour Guide for her, which will probably solve the issue... But one more example of the bug is one more example. EDIT TO ADD: Getting the Atlas Tour Guide accolade did *NOT* correct the problem. Winterlight still doesn't have the LRT accolade unlocked in spite of having two zone accolades now... One from her old server and one from her new one. Weird bug, that. Second Add: A few months in and she still doesn't have it, as noted down-thread.
  18. Not all of us are using it to get to our base... I use it specifically to AVOID having to wait for my slow-butt base to load.
  19. Having Combat Jump lets you do all sorts of surface- and wall-sliding weirdness. XD
  20. A Super Strength Stalker could be good fun... I'm all for it. But... yeah. Stalkers get Build Up, traditionally. I think I'd prefer to stick with that pattern if it does get a port at some point. It's just a play-style thing.
  21. I never said it wasn't fair. I just said we need to be honest about the time it takes to accomplish.
  22. To be fair, Glacier... While getting the accolade unlock itself may be quick if you know where the Atlas badges are, getting an exploration badge from each of the potential destinations in order to make that accolade power actually useful is absolutely NOT something that can be done in five minutes. I think we do need to be honest about that.
  23. Agreeing with the bug... That's a good, solid red.
  24. I used to spend a lot of time playing one called Broadway with friends... I had great luck every time I picked Oklahoma! to take on the road, for some reason. South Pacific hated me. <_< We also spent a fair bit of time playing Talisman. Between the group members, we had almost all of the expansion boards... and actually played one game using ALL OF THEM. It covered a university conference table and took most of a Saturday to finish. Past Lives was another fun one. My latest addition to the Coyote House collection is a gorgeous euro-style cooperative building game called Tang Garden. It's just gorgeous, but we haven't had a chance to sit down and play it yet. I also just bought a copy of Settlers of Catan as a Christmas goodie for my middle nephew. ^_^
