  1. Some of us who like RP mission teams like them BECAUSE there's no elaborate set-up... no standing around emoting at each other... no listening to Brittany rail Chaz for dating Lisa instead of her. We're (*gasp* *horror*) fond of the casual nature of them.
  2. Ten tip missions of the same type (hero, villain, rogue, etc) gets you an Alignment mission. Finishing that gets you a tidy sum of reward merits.
  3. Semnai: "I *knew* there was a reason why I avoid that Abyss-forsaken club like a proverbial plague..."
  4. Personally, I'm glad that things like Crushing and Thunderstrike are inexpensive. I use them pretty often.... But then, I'm usually on the opposite side of this from you guys. I'm the buyer more often than the seller when it comes to manufactured IOs.
  5. I'd have Kai or Anut out in Founders killing off those damned snipers every chance I got, just as a public service. <_< Being killed in the crossfire of an absolutely ridiculous number of snipers (Since the "no one-hit kills" rule doesn't apply when there are multiple individual attackers-) on a squishy, as you're just trying to get to your mission door, or to Infernal, or to the MIdnighter's or whatever isn't fun. I *like* eventually "outgrowing" that particular annoyance. (No. I've never gotten over that contact in Indy sending my under-level scrap into the middle of that place, just to have him instantly turned into pulp by half a dozen jerks on the rooftops before I even had time to react so many years ago... 😫)
  6. That's when you sigh and say "Water's fine"....
  7. Personal opinion? Anything with less than 10 is rare enough within a population the size of Homecoming's to be counted as a Unicorn. Your odds of seeing one "in the wild" are so seriously low that they might as well be mythical. XD
  8. That's the way it usually goes for me, too. XP *grumps* When I moved Harry from Everlasting to Excelsior, I couldn't even get his name. I had to improvise. I hope whoever has Haroeris on Ex is actually using the name and it's not just parked on some abandoned level 1 alt.
  9. Don't forget to go to Striga before you hit 25, and introduce yourself to Peebles. Her arc gives you a very nice temp power. And you get to smash a whole warehouse full of Council bots.
  10. There were several combinations that hadn't been done yet as-of the last dev data-dump of character statistics. I suspect there are far fewer real Unicorns now, since that was back in March and some of us took the list as a challenge. XD There were 57 Water/Mental blasters at 50 at the time.
  11. I usually go for green tea... I'm a matcha fan.
  12. Being Southern, I think I'm required by tradition to insult your ancestors and challenge you to a duel or something now... But since I don't actually put sugar in tea myself, I have something of a conflict.
  13. This idea? This idea I love. MOAR candy! XD
  14. For what it's worth, Ver, while I've run Semnai with you on various things (She's my "general purpose" Broadsword brute; that tall, dark lady all in black carrying the bright red thorn blade-), Harry never has. He's purpose-built for fire farming and lives his life on those maps. The only /Fire characters I've taken on anything of yours were my two "unicorns" (Red Traveller and Ferrian, both Stalkers. So, I doubt they raised any eyebrows regardless. 😁 ) My concern is just one of ending up in a "Oh. That's 'Dancer. She's one of those icky farmers. Obviously she's going to be up to no good." situation, no matter who I was on or what AT they happened to be.
  15. It's alllllll fun and games until somebody pokes their eye out.
  16. Nerfing Incarnates is a whole different pile of pitchforks... I was just thinking about Apparition's idea of addressing the "too easy!"-thing by making Incanrnates less common.
  17. Hmm... While making the progression more of a grind would slow down the addition of NEW Incarnate characters, I don't think it would actually solve the problem. If you're having trouble with content being too easy with the number of Incarnates around today, that isn't going to change by shutting off progression tomorrow. All of those Incarnates who are spoiling your fun now? They'll STILL be out there, with all their iToys, nuking your missions from orbit. No. The only way to "fix" the problem by making sure there are less Incarnate characters would take something a lot more radical than slowing progression at this point, You'd have to go in and retroactively remove the Incarnate powers that all of the already-existing, already-Incarnated 50's have, and then make everyone start over using the slower advancement scheme. I suspect there wouldn't be enough torches and pitchforks in the world to cover people's reactions to that... 🤣
  18. I wasn't going to respond to Ver's "farmers don't listen or know how to play the game and they all try to multi-box to be poopyheads" comment... but I sort of feel like I need to. I've played in some of those Hami and ship raids he's run, on my main account's Ornabegan characters... Kai, Semnai, Xhel and the rest... And, at least as far as I know, he's never had an issue with me on any of them. I've been at this game long enough to know how those raids work, and I know how to play the things I build. I've never done one with both accounts running. And yet... I sort of feel like if the guy had KNOWN at the time that I have a second account, and a dedicated fire farmer, and that I easily spend as much time playing with Harry as I do playing with any of my other characters, I'd have ended up being lumped in with the would-be troublemakers. Just Because. And that's annoying. <_<
  19. Agreed... And you guys are making me seriously crave a big pile of fries now.
  20. Having tossed a fair few of mine into Briggs' and Cult's farm maps with Harry at this point... It takes me on average about that same amount of time (a bit over 30 minutes-) to get one of my newbies into the mid-30's. I may have to make someone new just to see how long it takes doing DA arcs with Semnai (Broadsword brute. Not specifically a farm build, but tough enough to do DA on +4/x8 solo) as a comparison. I suspect it'll be a heck of a lot slower, just based on what it took using her to level Harry himself. Anyway, the idea upthread bothers me for more than just "taking longer to kickstart new members of my crew"-reasons. Ticket limits in AE are pretty low and you'll hit the max award cap pretty early on in the average farm map... which in turn limits the potential rolls for recipes and salvage bits you come out with UNLESS you stop several times in the course of a run to go out and trade in all of your tickets. I suspect that a lot of us who are farming just for the fun of it won't bother to do that. Which means less goodies to throw on Wentworths when we're done. The market stocks will take a hit with fewer of us selling off all that stuff we currently get for beating up the cosplayers, or the demons or what-have-you. That's not a small issue, and one that I think some of these "NERF *ALL THE FARMERS*!"-type suggestions either gloss over or just don't consider in the first place. None of which really touches on Vet Levels and the rewards for them... but- Anyway, for those of you on the Anti-Farm League, do keep in mind that not all of us are AFKs. You may not like the way we play, or the parts of the game we engage with, but active farmers *are* absolutely playing the game. Why shouldn't we get the vet rewards for doing that? Rather we're bashing cosplayers in AE or farming "old school"-style and taking on Harvey's Praetorian demons and the goons on Council Earth we're out there furiously mashing just a many buttons as anyone else. XD
  21. True that. XD
  22. Also reasonable.
  23. That's annoying even for those of us who ARE on our fire farmers... <_< Also, A1 goes on the frenchfries, people. XD
  24. And to hell with it if those of us who are active-only farmers also get tossed out in the process, too, I guess...
