  1. Grinding the same iTrials over and over and over and over and over and over and over again was never fun. Locking costume parts behind level-gated tasks in a game that's so largely ALL ABOUT its character customization possibilities was a pants-on-head level stupid idea. If you want to wait multiple levels and have to do a pair of pretty uninteresting older missions before you use a cape or aura... You can do that. All it takes is a little self-imposed self-discipline. Likewise, waiting until 14 to get a travel power, not using the Roman costume parts until after you've done and ITF and any number of other "old school limitations". If you WANT that to be 'the way it is', you can make that choice for your own characters right now. No one is stopping you. Just because YOU love the idea of a long and difficult struggle to play the game doesn't mean the rest of us should have to. Also... If you want a classic "grinder"-style MMO with an absolutely predatory in-game market, an RNG that hates its players and more "locked-behind-X" gear/costume options than you can shakes a stick at? Aion is that'a way -----> City is not that game. Nor should it ever be,
  2. Illusion/Nature Controller on Torch with my other "assorted magic-things"... She's hanging out with Snickerdoodles the cat-girl. XD If I keep her, I'm definitely not done with the costume yet. ETA: It also gave me X-ray Occult Lady, which I find hilarious for some reason.
  3. *laughing out loud* One of the names it gave me on the very first try? Coyote Incarnate
  4. I highly suggest looking at the public base codes thread... Just to give yourself an idea of what's possible these days. You'll see why so many of us love not having to scrape for Prestige to buy every box and candlestick.
  5. I don't think I ever met Aaru myself, but condolences to all of his friends. It's always rough losing someone.
  6. The old devs and mission writers DID get better about that as time went on... But, yeah. Those early arcs really do send you half-way around the world sometimes. o_0
  7. They aren't the only "reference characters" in there... Check out the bar-keep in that section of the club. He might remind you of someone, too. XD
  8. It sounds like the OP is doing it in a way that, while technically still within the formal "rules" of the game, is a little more asshole-ish than average. .... And they're unhappy about now being called out on that behavior. ... And feel wronged because one of the devs is apparently encouraging others to treat them like... well... someone who's being a toxic jerk. I'm afraid I'm not sympathetic. And I'm saying that as someone whose "other MMO" is Aion, where being an absolute ass in PvP is a way of life. XD 'Thing is... if you're going to play like a jerk, you have to expect that behavior to eventually come back to bite you. That's not an issue of legality. That's just Life.
  9. I've made three so far... a KM/Fire Stalker, a Claws/Fire Stalker and a Dark/Ice Stalker. I don't use MIDS or Pine's though, so exporting their builds would be, to put it mildly, a royal pain in the rear.
  10. None of the above. I can't stand apple pies. XP
  11. Yes... I know when the data was pulled. It showed that as-of March there were 267 at level 50. One of those was mine. I'm positive that there were even more that, like yours, hadn't made it to 50 yet. Just like there are bound to be others now that have been made and leveled since those statistics were posted. What was odd to me was that it was one of the more popular Stalker combinations, but my own was the only one I'd actually seen in-game.
  12. Peanut butter, bananas and mayo is a combination I've actually had. It wasn't bad. It's just the pickle I'm having trouble with... Are we talking standard kosher dills here, or sweet pickles of some kind?
  13. I tend to keep things tidy... And almost always Egyptian... Which probably doesn't surprise anybody...
  14. I'd love to see an update, too. I want to see how many of us took the low numbers on some combination as a challenge and in response built Unicorns of our own. XD
  15. *nods* Calculating the aerodynamic properties of level 1 Hellions....
  16. Funny that one should come up... I was on a team night-before-last with a Grav/Time character on Everlasting. She was a terror. XD
  17. I'm with MT here... I wouldn't trust it to always use the available resources wisely. The game's just not that smart. XP
  18. The jail cell does give you a little more lead time... at least as long as the door is intact.
  19. I like that we eventually "outgrow" the goons in lower-level zones... It would be annoying as all hell not to be able to walk through Atlas with a 50+ Incarnate character without being harassed by a bunch of punk-ass Hellions. XD
  20. I've got Grey Kestrel and Nemissary's names... but... Still haven't rebuilt them. I'm really waffling on that point. I sort-of want to and I sort-of don't. Which is more wishy-washy on the subject than I was the first time I posted in this thread. I *did* end up rebuilding one other old favorite, though. I have a new version of my "gentleman monster", Shonokin, over on Torch. Given how infrequently I play with him and how odd it feels to me when I do, I guess that probably doesn't bode well for any eventual v2 versions of Kes and Nem. But... yeah. Still debating. <_<
  21. KM/Bio brutes are great fun.... A friend has one and he's just about the most brutal brute I've ever seen. XD I was really surprised how few Broadsword/Bio brutes there were. My Semnai was one of something like 13?
  22. It's interesting... Supposedly there are rather a lot of Psi/Energy Stalkers around. But I've never seen one "in the wild", other than my own. I was a little boggled trying to figure that one out... how they could be both plentiful AND absolutely absent... until someone pointed out that Psi/Energy Stalkers are a PvP thing. Mine isn't. I don't PvP in this game at all. But if all of Ajda's brothers-and-sisters are living their virtual lives in the Arena or RV, it makes sense that I'd never have come across them. That may be true of some of the other "But where ARE THEY?"-cases.
  23. I dunno... Honey on a PBJ just sounds like it would make the entire thing way too sweet to actually eat. I mean, your average glop of grape jelly is already pushing the Sugar Bomb limits as it is. Honey would just be... yikes. TOO MUCH. o_0
  24. Depends entirely on how you color those flames. Ferrian's are black. XD
