Just a different way to run staff, but I find playing without Eye of the Storm or Sky Splitter (so I keep my perfection built up with 18% Damage bonus) is better than the occasional buff to one of those two attacks... Edit: I play Staff/WP 08 Professor Sean.mxd

I don't know if this helps, but this is what I run: 03 Beyond Vision.mxd

Hmmm... Rise to the Challenge is a toggle, DNA Siphon is easy to perma... it seems like Instant Healing needs a reduction to recharge to be on par with the other two, regeneration-wise... Especially since both WP and BA have layering...

This would change the way I build and play Kheldians, I would love it.

Regardless of AT what are your favorite builds without Hasten
Zepp replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Archetypes
Hasten is a good power. It is useful in many builds. However, it is not necessary and not optimal in many builds. Furthermore, it takes away your green ring, which is exceptionally useful in many builds. In fact, freeing up the green ring alone can make dropping it worthwhile. -

One major issue with the proposal is that, while it would be great for non-regen DPS toons, it would not work well for Control or Support sets. -

I currently have 10 level 50. 6 do not use Hasten: Beyond Vision Genetically engineered for intelligence, stealth, speed, and power, Beyond Vision is the ultimate assassin. She is without peer, and even if someone wanted to challenge her, they would never see her coming. Ninja/Dark Stalker 03 Beyond Vision.mxd Vantablaq She dreamt of being an Angel of Vengeance. A little alien came to her and offered to make her dream come true... She is now that angel, but she can't shake that damn alien that has latched itself to her soul… HF Peacebringer 04 Vantablaq.mxd Phobia der Nicht Some people are born into this world. They have family and support. Others leave their family to come to this world. With her fae family gone, Phobia sought a new family. Fortunately, she has found that family… Night Widow 06 Phobia der Nacht.mxd Professor Sean After years of preparation by studying martial arts and teaching disaster management, Sean realized that the real disaster was ongoing and on the streets. His response was that he picked up his purpleheart bo and went to mitigate the disaster. He hopes to recover the streets through the five Cs: comprehend the problem, communicate with the citizens to find the problems, cooperate with law enforcement when feasible, coordinate with other heroes, and critique everything in order to improve his response and the responses of others. His weapon of choice is the bo, a blunt instrument for a blunt personality. That being said, he uses it in order to minimize harm and ensure justice. Staff/Willpower Scrapper 08 Professor Sean.mxd Huǒ Shé Before humans came, we were here. We survived through five mass extinctions. In ancient Egypt my great grandfather advised the pharoahs under the name set. In other places we have been worshiped as dragons and gods. Now it is time that I lead my people once more from the depths to save humanity from itself, again. I am Huǒ Shé Rěn 火蛇忍 the fire snake ninja. Fire/Ninja Blaster 09 Huǒ Shé.mxd ITS Everyone, at times, has those thoughts that won't go away. Some label it intrusive thought syndrome (ITS), but perhaps it is this little meme that has tunneled itself into your brain. Dark energy combined with electricity, invading your dark matter. It tells you exactly what you don't want to think in the most convinving voice you have ever heard. Dark/Electric Sentinel 11 ITS.mxd Other than Huǒ Shé, they are all T4 incarnated. Huǒ Shé has two T4 and is working on finishing the rest of them. They are all a blast to play and I don't miss Hasten on any of these builds. -
I use a fairly high recharge approach with my Spines/Regen scrapper. The toon originated before Willpower, so that's why it is not a Spines/WP... That being said, it is fun to run and I usually don't need my security blankets (Instant Healing, Moment of Glory, and Shadow Meld). However, in a pinch it is good to have Instant healing and 45s of insanity-level protection... 02 Spyqe.mxd

AoE controls in general (not all of them) need shorter timers. Farsight is fine, but there are many buff/debuff powers with 4x+ cooldown/duration ratios. Liquefy may be the worst at a 10x ratio. The fact that you basically need Hasten to make Chrono Shift perma is kinda insane...
-
I would agree that it needs to be targeted. There are some powers outside of the Control; & Support sets that may need to be looked at as well, but the length of some of the timers in those two types of sets seem to be out of line with the rest of the game.
-
All the Control and Support powersets need recharge timers reduced.

The only Sentinel I've gotten to 50 so far is my Dark/Elec Sentinel... I have some other builds, but don't feel comfortable until I've gotten them to 50+incarnates... 11 ITS.mxd

@Troo the confusion over it was caused by the way MID's titled the enhancement and also the way it handled the Regeneration bonus. The fact that the regeneration proc requires activation whereas the status resistance does not, however, did require confirmation.
-
If you are going for Regen-related procs: Resistance; Impervious Skin Status Resistance/Regeneration (Regeneration portion treated as Unique) Unbreakable Guard +HP (Unique) Heal: Regenerative Tissue Regeneration (Unique) Numina's Convalescence Regeneration/Recovery (Unique) Panacea +HP/+Endurance (this is actually a 3PPM heal in PVE or 20% Regen in PVP) (Unique) Preventative Medicine +Absorb (Unique) Endurance Modification: Power Transfer Chance to Heal Self (Non-Unique) Ranged: Entropic Chaos Chance to Heal (Non-Unique) Sleep: Call of the Sandman Chance to Heal Self (Unique) Hold: (Superior) Entomb Recharge / Chance for Absorb (Unique) If there are any that I missed, let me know
-
I just went into test center to double check this. The Regen is limited to one iteration. The Regen requires power activation. (auto or toggle works great, but don't expect the benefit if muled in the T9.) The Status Resistance is limited to five iterations. The Status Resistance does not require activation. (you can have it in powers you are not using, good news for Kheldians!) Please note, that in Mids, this is not correctly reflected.

Hmmm... the only issue is that there are only four combat pools and right now the build is using Flight, TP, Speed, and Fighting... May need to consider that.
-
What I was thinking was Defender Storm/Rad/Psi Storms for Storm X-Ray Beam for Cyclops Dom/MoB/TK for Phoenix Mass Hyp/WoC for Scarlet Witch TP for Nightcrawler SS for Quicksilver SS Phase for Shadowcat Flight for Angel Fighting Pool for Beast Rest of the Rad blast set for Jubilee That's 10 costume slots, 10 X-Men, one toon... I am still thinking of ways to get a Storm-Kitty-Nightcrawler-Beast-Scarlet Witch-Angel-Jean-Wolverine-Cyclops-(one more) toon, as I think including Wolverine, Phoenix, and Cyclops would be iconic, but can't omit my top five (Storm, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Beast, & Scarlet Witch) to fit them in.
-
Alright, I was thinking of throwing together a character with as many X-men powers as possible in a single toon. What is the best way to do that?
-
While Set Bonuses are kinda small, outside the purples, five Impervious Skins in a resist build can be pretty huge...
-
Oh.... what about a Regen Scrapper? That can get very clicky!

My Ill/Storm troller has a lot of buttons, but a tri-form Kheld is probably the most complex (if you build it that way). I have so many keybinds on my Kheld that it feels simple even while doing a lot. If you want to be busy, you may also want to try a secondary-focused corrupter...

OneDrive just transferred way too many files from my hard drive to the cloud... trying to fix that problem, I don't want to think about storage... but I wouldn't mind purse melee... or a purse for Titan Weapons...

@BrandX Like I mentioned, the regeneration-focused set rezzes are T8s. What would you think of the idea of a Rez with a massive AoE debuff (including -Spd, -Rech, -Dmg, -ToHit, & -Regen) so it wouldn't do damage, but it would be a very effective tool... in fact, possibly so effective that death and resurrection may be part of a strategy... Also, I think Icy Bastion was originally Hibernate, so it was the same type of power before the fall... I'm fine with it being a standard stealth, although the Steamy Mist animation could still be used... Also, a Def / Res stealth would give it a different feel. I tried to keep it mainly inline with the passive-ish side of armor sets. Changing Farsight to a click allows it to be a little more powerful. I like your write up, don't get me wrong, I just thought some tweaking may be in order. Also, since I did my write-up before I saw yours, I was interested in where the ideas were similar and divergent. Sometimes that helps provide a better alternative via collaboration.

Trying to merge the two ideas: T1 - Passive Def v Passive Res T2 - Passive Reg/Rec v Click Heal T3 - Toggle Def/Stealth v Toggle Debuff Aura T4 - Click Debuff v Toggle Buff T5 - Toggle Res v Toggle Def T6 - Passive Res+Buff v Toggle Def/Stealth T7 - Passive Debuff on attack v Toggle Res / Buff T8 - Toggle Res v Click Rez T9 - Click Debuff v Toggle cocoon My proposal Passive x4, Toggle x 3, Click x2 - Def x2, Res x3, Reg x1, Debuff/CC, x3 @BrandX proposal Passive x1, Toggle x6, Click x2 - Def x2, Res x2, Reg x3, Debuff/CC x1 Idea to merge: T1 - Precognition - Passive Def / Res (-Def) - I chose defense here as the concept is tiered rather than Res-centric T2 - Temporal Healing (Port from Temporal Manipulation) - Click Absorb / Rec / Res (Slow / -Regen) - It is a click, but gives Absorb rather than heal, giving a different feel to the set T3 - Time's Junction (port from Time Manipulation) - Toggle Debuff Aura - it fits T4 - Fog of Time (port from Storm Summoning Steamy Mist) - Toggle AoE Def / Res / Res (confuse) - A middle ground for the two proposed stealth powers based on an existing power T5 - Forewarned - Passive Res - Provides a nice balance for the tiered defense T6 - Farsight (port from Time Manipulation) - Click Def / buff - might as well port it straight, and make the set a little more active T7 - Chronos (use Chrono Shift Animation) - Toggle Res / Res (slow / stun / hold) / Reg / Recharge - Time Lord and Chrono Shift are both T9, and porting them directly isn't going to work. This provides a middle ground that isn't too OP T8 - Borrowed Time (semi-port of Parasitic Aura) - Toggle Absorb / Debuff (-Dmg) - It fits the tiered defense model and provides a unique taste to the set T9 - Rewind Time - Click Rez - Rez fits this set well Passive x2 Toggle x4 Click x3 Def x3, Res x3, Reg x2, Debuff/CC x2 I hope that finds a reasonable middle ground that is not OP, but provides an interesting new feel for an armor set...
