  1. I have run this several times on different toons and tested different summons. I would say that the Shivan Summon is the best one to use (if you are only going to use one).
  2. Just to clarify as I try to get some more testing done, "offensive" refers to any effect which targets enemies. This includes mitigation debuffs (-ToHit, -Dmg, Slow, etc.) and controls (mainly used for mitigation). If there is a mixed toggle which has "offensive" and "defensive" effects, the "defensive" effects (those which do not target enemies) should not be suppressed whereas the "offensive" effects should be suppressed... Just clarifying here, to make sure I understand what I should be expecting. Also are effects which target other players "offensive" or "defensive"?
  3. Try /bind lshift+lbutton "pow_exec_location 0:max shadow step$$pow_exec_location 0:max black dwarf step" I think that is what I am using for mine, and it it works fine.
  4. Just saw this thread, I generally use /bind n PowExecLocation 0:5 Teleport Target for teleport target. I like to use the degrees (-359 to 359) for non-target PowExecLocation commands as they look cleaner.
  5. I have bios for characters that I decided not to make. I also make a Mids before hitting the character creator, that way I don't have to respec. Most of my characters names were available on the first try, so I am not too worried. I know how the system is intended to work. I just have concerns about whether the risk of harm to a certain portion of the player base has been considered when looking at the potential benefit (which, to be frank, is actually quite small).
  6. I found a workaround (although it will take some time) that allows me to level without killing random people or being an accomplice to the killing of random people... (clicky-only AE arcs offer no XP to lvl 1 toons as well, btw) Still, it will be strange to have my eternally level 1 character not being level 1...
  7. I believe that those that contain an "offensive" component are effected. One clear example is Cauterizing Aura for Fire Edit-I tested Cauterizing Aura: "Offensive" components of the toggle suppress for the interminably long 8s, while the rest of the toggle is unsuppressed. So I continued healing while held, but did not cause damage.
  8. Found an issue with this plan... You can not earn XP from Exploration badges until you are level 2
  9. I don't power level either, I just got my tenth lvl 50 recently and am going back to make sure all my lvl 50 toons have the 4 stat-boosting Accolades. I have a bio and Mids build for every character as well. The two impacts it will have on me are my toon working on his sixth billion without gaining any XP (if there is an emergency and I can't be at the computer for a month), and that I will have to adjust my login schedule rather than simply doing it at the beginning of the month.
  10. currently 47, although I am considering a cull Edit: I generally play at least ten of them during the month, but they get the log-in, Inner Inspiration, post Inspirations on the Auction House, QuitToCharacterSelect treatment as well. 17 are currently below level 6, they are either earning enough (through various marketing practices) to buy the starter kit (Mystic Fortune, Secondary Mutation, Inner Inspiration, Return to Battle, Reveal, Portable Workbench, 1k Enhancement Converters, Full set of Enhancements, and 1bil influence). Others I am considering whether to reroll or nay. But they are all on the list.
  11. I think a good number of players have brought up this issue with Blasters in particular, but there are a lot of mixed toggles that are getting hit by this. I like the concept overall (I have a triform Kheld), but the 8s delay seems excessive if not completely unnecessary...
  12. Just to clarify, as a practice, I log into all my characters on the first of every month. so even for toons waiting to be leveled, the risk of losing them is minimal. But, as UltraAlt pointed out, emergencies do happen. My only real concern is my banking toon, who has a good name and is known among enough players that someone poaching his name would be painful. If this change goes into effect as is, I will likely level him through Exploration Badges (hopefully there are enough to get to level 6). That being said, I think that the concerns of players who play characters but keep them at level 5 or lower for whatever reason are legitimate. Frankly, whether the majority agrees with this change or nay is not my concern. I am hoping that minor adjustments can be made to make sure this change is fair for all players and takes into consideration the possibility of emergency situations arising. My other issue is, if the current model is basically taken, could the number of days at least be changed to 30 days warning, 37 days inactive in order to allow logging in only once a month with some leeway rather than having to login twice some months?
  13. Not all marketing toons are the same. I interact with other players, sometimes chatting, sometimes just dropping a few mil on toons with cool bios. Suggesting that a toon that isn't played the way you like to play is insignificant is kinda the issue I was trying to point out. Of course non-RP toons are going to want to have a name that reflects their character's personality. However, a good number of people in this thread have been downplaying non-"standard" gameplay such as RP and marketeering. RP, Market, and Joke toons may have legitimate reasons to stay at level 1, but that puts them at risk in the case of emergency situations. On the other hand, an AFK-grinder toon that hasn't actually been "play"ed will be able to hold a name in perpetuity. My suggestion would be to adjust the ranges: 1-5 - 60 days 6-49 - 180 days 50 - 1000 days That would provide sufficient safety for all levels while addressing emergency situations and preventing eternal namesitting.
  14. Exactly how urgent is it for your non-RP toon to have a highly desirable name?
  15. As per my prior post. I generally check the toon on a daily basis, however if I go abroad for research and then some emergency occurs and I am away for more than a month, that is the issue. Thirty days is somewhat reasonable in most situations, however there are certain circumstances that may make it unreasonable.
  16. For my market toon, the concept is that the toon has made billions of influence without gaining a single XP. For this type of concept toon, or RP toons that some players use, the 30 days could be quite harsh.
  17. It seems to be working as intended. Warnings on appropriate toons, can't currently reclaim names, warnings clear after login... That being said, my question is about the timeline during full implementation. I have a level 1 that I do marketing with. I long on to this character everyday, but if I go on a research trip, then have a family thing, and am off for 31 days, will the name be at risk? Or will it be 30 days (warning), +x days (can be reclaimed)? Sorry, I just reread the initial post, so it is 23 days before the warning for a lvl 1, then after 30 days the name can be reclaimed? That seems a tad short.
  18. Would it be possible to get Rare Salvage and Purple Recipes through Emp-conversion?
  19. That math I knew, but the Incarnate XP will be a grind, or a lot of Influence and Threads... that math I don't have.
  20. I am enjoying the leveling experience so far (Symph/Sonic Dom). Although I am still low level, the early progression is fairly good and it feels like it has a good balance between control and damage. I am mainly soloing, but will comment if I have any issues solo or team. I will definitely test the Confounding DoT with sleep once I have it in my build.
  21. It kinda reminds me of a combination of Illusion / Mind. That being said, it is quite unique. I am playing with it right now and trying to figure out where to put what IOs. This set seems very pro-proc, for those of you in that sorta thing. I myself try to focus more on set bonuses (as there is a rumor that procs will soon(tm) be fixed, resulting in a "nerf" to proc-heavy builds. My question is, Coercive Persuasion, Serenade or Reverberant?
  22. I thought Major Damage was promoted to General Damage...
  23. There is also the "Set Bonus Finder" in Mids under the "Window" menu.
