  1. Ah but what was Disney's reason for this? That's key. Did they do it because they don't want other people using their stuff because they lose money? Or did they do it because they felt it would associate their character with something as tragic and unhappy as the death of a small child? Specifics matter.
  2. I agree. To me, some of the most compelling villains are ones that you can relate to and understand, even sympathize with their motivations - like Magneto. I get it that some people are into depraved stuff though and won't begrudge them. Personally, I'll just skip the contact.
  3. But it's ok because NCSoft is evil and we hate them! ^ This right here. I would also add - c.) They permit it so long as no one tries to profit off of, market themselves as to the owner of or deliberately intend to harm and or damage their property because it helps keep interest in their IP. See CBS and Trek fan films.
  4. I tell you Google could make a mint handing out law degrees.
  5. The steel wall comes to mind in the Dividers tab - I tried using it a bunch of times and always got "can't fit" errors with them even when there was plenty of space available. It's a weird bug to be sure.
  6. Would be fun to try it for sure!
  7. Not really interested in doing a "destroy your base items" type PvP base - more like an arena map.
  8. Or they could not. I'll bet if we all try really hard we can conservatively come up with at least a thousand different "what ifs". The game never got shut down before when a near bankrupt Marvel tried to sue the first time. I personally don't see that changing now. You've got far, far, far better odds NCSoft decides to close down the server due to it being a stolen version of their property than being concerned about a company/individual issuing a C&D because someone made a cosplay homage.
  9. Be kind enough to allow them a few more minutes to obtain their Google search law degrees. 😉
  10. Rolled a Spider alt that I have been meaning to work on named Arachnis Deathicus.
  11. Are you able to put in a doorway temporarily where you are looking to add the pieces? I've had this happen before and it generally was in between rooms and adding a temporary doorway allowed the pieces to fit. I notice this more when using certain pieces - like the steel wall in Dividers. For some strange reason, that seems to need a larger size than it occupies in order for it to "fit".
  12. No thank you.
  13. Scrappers can die pretty quickly too. 😉
  14. The why is that is how they are programmed to operate under most circumstances.
  15. Stalkers will obviously do better single target burst damage whereas Scrappers in general are going to work better over time.
  16. While you have the item you want to stack/move selected, press F5 to cycle through the options until you get to "Surface", then drag/drop it on top of the object you want to stack it on. Keep in mind this may lead do some oddities in how the item will get placed.
  17. Same here. Can't tell you how many artists/authors I've chatted with over the years at various Comic Cons who absolutely love fans dressing up and keeping their creations alive and relevant.
  18. Call it an educated guess. 😉
  19. Actually, I would absolutely love it if we could toggle a base to be PvP or PvE. Mind you, I really don't care for PvP at all and don't actively participate in it. However, in playing around with base designs I've crafted a few concepts here and there that perhaps some in the PvP community might enjoy playing in. I would love the opportunity to build a PvP community base for Indomitable server that they could PvP in!
  20. His post reads very positively to me.
  21. Very cool @TheGem! 😀
  22. Not to mention things like parody, fair use etc. Transformative use is an excellent one you mentioned most people don't know about.
  23. Fear mongering is a typical tactic used to try and scare people into submission. All one need do is read the posts from most of the anti-cosplay crowd to see what their real motivation is - they don't like it, think people shouldn't do it and want to dictate to other people how to play.
