  1. This thread reminds me - back in the day, we used to run Supergroup Fairs on Triumph. These were a day of fun events, contests, TF runs etc. all hosted by various supergroups. They provided players looking for homes an opportunity to meet and greet potential SG mates and see if they were a good fit for the players. Anyone have any interest in putting together something like this? If so, I'm happy to help coordinate and set something up.
  2. Perhaps, but I'll believe it when I see it.
  3. Why not? The reasons being given for removing it (other than it is a GM command) is people using it to "cheat" and escape deaths in PvP and Master of TF runs. IMO a viable alternative is to disable it from working in PvP zones and/or giving it a short animation that is interruptible. That seems reasonable to me given that it is just as easy - if not easier - to escape death by popping PFF if you're a bubbler or purple insps and we don't see inspirations being removed for these same reasons. Neither are the P2W team transports - I've been on TFs where we all had one and could tag team using them, so there was little to no travel needed. One of the very nice things about this for those of us in the base building community is the ability to save them as a macro to have buttons that will port us to friendly bases. No need to tab out and copy/paste base entry codes all the time and we could travel from base to base very easily. Just my experience in speaking of other MMOs I currently play, the whole design concept of using travel time as a means to slow progression is a relic. Game design has been trending away from that for years as gamers are no longer a small group of people living in their parents basements. STO as an example allows you to queue for teamed content from any location or transwarp directly to your mission. No need to spend hours on travel - you spend it actually playing the game instead of waiting to travel to your destination. Even more recent TF/event additions in CoH like DFB, DiB, Summer BB, Yin, revamped Posi etc. are all shorter in length and contained to a few missions within 1 or two city zones. Also wanted to add, porting to your base in no way negates travel. You still need to travel to the mission door which in my experience is more often than not far away from where the entry point is when you zone in from a base. If you still enjoy spending a good portion of your time traveling from zone to zone you are still more than capable of doing so as using anything like the slash command or whatever will replace it is entirely optional. I highly doubt we will get anything even remotely close to what we have now. I imagine it will cost a lot of inf, have an absurdly long cooldown and generally not be worth it. Was nice to have this while it lasted.
  4. Love it! Going to check it out when I get home tonight. With all the new items added in todays patch, I know what I'll be doing this weekend.
  5. More base items! Thank you! 😀
  6. Very cool @Flashtoo! Simple, but effective.
  7. The existing version is interruptible, so that would cover not being able to use it in combat.
  8. ^ My thoughts exactly. Really the only issue I have with the P2W version is the flaky interrupt and it only works for our own SG. If it could be programmed to allow for us to enter what code we wanted to visit, then that would make it better to me, but if it stays as is, so be it.
  9. Yes of course we can. All I've said is that having the command and being able to save it to a macro was a nice-to-have as it prevented a lot of load screens. That's all.
  10. Yes, and until some other means are implemented, we will be left with the P2W version.
  11. Yes, I understand that. I read the posts. It was just nice to be able to save these as macros that could be used to port to various places to visit from time to time.
  12. FYI - if you are using the enterbasefrompasscode via macro, it is going to get removed.
  13. Seems like this is of no importance, so I imagine we'll be stuck with the existing P2W version.
  14. So apparently the macro to port directly to bases is an "exploit" and is going to get removed. I am assuming pass codes will still work. Just FYI. 😧
  15. No it doesn't hurt anything and it has been a wonderful tool for those of us in the base building community to readily and easily share our creations with others. I guess that doesn't count for anything though ... Oh well, it was fun sharing bases while it lasted.
  16. Circumvents what? Using the train to travel? Most all of the time, the train is more convenient to use due to where the mission entry is located. The port to base is a nice-to-have.
  17. If the concern is that it is an insta-port to prevent a PvP kill or death for Master of TFs, then just have it bring up the prompt to enter the pass code before it will work. This way, it will require some input before being used, which should be long enough to prevent someone from exploiting it as an escape from death.
  18. Not a bad suggestion at all - or just disable it from working in PvP zones.
  19. Probably should have thought of this before advertising it via live streams showing off various bases. I will wager 99.99% of the people using the command are not using it as an exploit. Please don't punish the majority due to the actions of a select few.
  20. This thread reminds me of the epic arguments over on the STO forums about Disco Balls and snowballs.
  21. Endless Regen nerfs!
  22. At this point I would be happy if Rage could be converted to a Build-Up click so it can get the crashes removed.
  23. Let me preface this by saying this is not a personal cheap shot at anyone. I believe we can all understand the reasons behind the secrecy before HC was made public. With that said, what @jubakumbipointed out here is a legitimate cause for concern in my opinion.
  24. Beautiful work! Very nice balance between outside and inside. Some very creative design here! Definitely post some photos to share with everyone.
  25. Tintable grass plates so we can make sand/snow surfaces without a necessarily needing a whole new object.
