  1. That's simply not true. Hasten is just the topic in question, I'm sure the same would applyif we were talking about Hover, Combat Jumping, or any other Pool Power.
  2. A lot of circling back in this thread, huh
  3. Hey, you went there first. I dropped this ages ago... You're making things out to be personal attacks when they really aren't.
  4. Sarcasm isn't a good look for you, but I suppose it beats prepubescent aggression. That's not the case though, it's already been stated that people opt for powers like Burnout, and with the updates to all travel powers coming out, Super Speed is going to be more of a contender too.
  5. Right, so you just want Hasten to be a pick that doesn't influence the maximum number of power pools available? Great, we got there in the end didn't we? But even if that's the case, there's a cost to picking pool powers, which @Greycat put rather well. You're not just picking a new power, you're 'locking in' a pool, that's the sacrifice you need to make when considering builds like this. Hasten is popular, sure, so is Tough, and Combat Jumping, should they be made freely accessible outside of pools too? How far do we go with this? Do we just remove the concept of power pools entirely? These restrictions exist for a reason, to ensure you can't just hoard all the best powers from each pool and play an absolutely monster of a build, deal with it.
  6. Then I'll defer to my earlier point. Do you just want Hasten to be inherent so you can pick 4 other power pools that aren't Speed? Because if that's the reasoning here, you're outta luck, you can't have everything.
  7. Then what in god's green earth is your point? Let's recap; You want inherent Hasten You don't want inherent Hasten You want inherent Hasten again You want more than 4 pools You don't want more than 4 pools You want 4 pools plus Hasten inherent You want 4 pools plus Hasten but not inherent
  8. it makes no difference if you only have TWO pool powers!
  9. But... you CAN do that. Do you even know what point you're making at this point? It changes every time somebody challenges your idea.
  10. The only semblance of logic I'm seeing here is that you want to have four power pools that aren't speed in your build, yet still have Hasten? That's so incredibly niche it can't possibly justify making Hasten inherent, or even 'generic' as you put it. You can't have everything, you're just gonna have to suck it up and accept that.
  11. Then... it wouldn't be obstructive to your build then, would it?
  12. Agreed. If picking Hasten is obstructive to your build... you can't build. That's no fault of the game.
  13. it is literally on page 1 of the suggestions board there, am I being helpful yet?
  14. Cos the topic itself no longer has substance. I feel my response was apt, made to jokingly highlight the fact this particular discussion has frequented the forum already. But if that's enough for you to start making accusations of trolling and resorting personal attacks, you're only making yourself out to be the stooge here.
  15. Who had "OP thinks negative feedback is trolling" on their hasten thread bingo card?
  16. You're just as guilty of doing this yourself given your response. If those other points truly mattered to you, you wouldn't be this hung up on the matter of hasten.
  17. I'll just leave this right here
  18. Pretty much how @Grouchybeast put it
  19. Teenage superheroes have been a thing for ages, but kids? Only now and then do they ever come up, and most the time tend to be insufferable (I'm looking at you Damian Wayne. You too Riri Williams!) But, even if that wasn't the case, cant say I've ever seen anyone RP children in a way that was appropriate, sadly... I'm sure there's exceptions, but even then there's the risk of other people not being appropriate around them. So either way, it's pretty dicey.
  20. The cottage rule left when Castle did, and in the two years between him leaving and the closure of the game, the design philosophy for powersets only improved. Some powers function differently to what they once were and are better for it, and there are few were replaced entirely. This is most evident with Blaster secondaries, as well as Pool Powers across the board... we're seeing changes that defy the cottage rule and positively impact the game. So why do we now, with a different design team no less, pay heed to this rule when Paragon themselves did away with it?
  21. Unfortunately, Snakes/Talons of Vengeance use a whole different body rig to players that allows them to support the serpent 'legs'. To make it accessible to players, they would have to add that body rig to those accessible to the player (male/female/huge) and try and rework a lot of animations to work with it. It'll be a monumental amount of effort, but it's a concept I can get behind!
  22. You're welcome!
  23. 45 seconds is valuable time when you're scurrying off to the base portal for... reasons. 😗
  24. Most of us have had this same discussion so many times before there's nothing else to bring but a little levity.
