  1. If you slot 1 panacea and 2 or 3 performance shifter procs somewhere somehow, you will have to work hard to have end problems at that point (and you won't even need to 2 slot stamina at that point) - especially if you pick an incarnate alpha like agility or cardiac. Disclaimer - unless you are running anything /Storm then do all the above and pick ageless core destiny
  2. I think you are overexaggerating the divide between a brute and a scrapper in terms of dmg and also between a brute and tanker in terms of agro. Even now I can grab agro from a tanker if we both are facing down an AV - so what if the tankers milkshake brings all the council to the yard - in still going to hit them harder and take more of them out and do it just as well as a scrapper with my brutes. You can't go wrong with any of them really - and the differences isnt so drastic thats "mah gah what's this newb doin here with this brute" no they are fine - all three are fine - all has a place and works interchangeably.
  3. It don't - thats really not the topic - the topic is whether or not brutes can tank - which requires agro management - which a brute has. Also whether or not brute dmg is so totally eclipsed by Scrappers to where its pointless to roll a brute. The answer is that brutes are still useful and effective in both roles - at the same time in fact.
  4. Yeah see I don't think the dmg gap is that large between brute and scrapper - don't get me wrong I like them both - but the brute dmg potential IMO is more stable now that fury generation is so stable - but scrapper dmg while having a little more potential is dependent on critical hits. Also the brute doesnt have to be several spawns ahead any more than a tanker would - hit that first heavy dude in the spawn with a air then ST it to death - keep fighting till the mob is subdued then move on while the team follows - thats pretty much the same on tanker or brute. I don't think at the end of the day the gap is large enough in either aspect to say the brute lost either role - they share it better if anything.
  5. Somewhat true but the 90% brute resistance cap also says hi - they are more equipped to handle alpha plus engulfment by an enemy spawn than the other three. Not to mention brutes have a way better capacity and capability to retain agro than those three - that's not saying they cant take point - but thats different than tanking - which the brute is capable of.
  6. Keep in mind I'm a tanker first when you read what I'm about to say. Thats completely false - Any Brute can tank for power teams - in fact probably do it better than a tank because power teams are moving so fast and able to manage individual agro at speed - the brutes ability to dish out much better simgle target dmg pays off more in the long run because of their unique ability to pulverized hardened targets and not get dinged up doing it. A lot of that does depend on how the brute is built - brutes dmg will always take care of itself - thats why you build for near tanker level of survivability.
  7. Rad armor is always a worthy choice. Shadow meld isn't bad but you would be better off building for high melee defense then pairing that with ageless radial for the ddr - or going with barrier or even rebirth radial to add one extra layer of protection over time - with rad armor that's only necessary with maybe 10 percent of content - any debuffers. Scrapper I would skip power crash because Fast ET is your mule and the goal is to get TF to crit to get two Fast ET. Utilize bone smasher with critical strikes - always preceding TF to maximise crit chance. Energy punch over barrage also.
  8. Oh yeah i plan on it, thats got me very curious if Incarnates make the times that much better and then secondary to that which ones contribute the most.
  9. This is the one I have used from the beginning. Doesn't sweat fire farms - doesn't have end issues - drops mobs really fast. Granjero_4.0_-_Brute_Radiation_Melee_-_Firey_Aura.mxd
  10. EM / Energy Aura Stalker - Such a single target monster it doesn't need AOE but still has a good one in Power Crash. Elec / Shield Stalker - perfect mix of ST AOE and Survivability Electric Armor for Brutes peaks in all the right places Fire / EM tanker - crazy AOE, beyond bursting ST dmg - decent survivability Elec / Storm Controller - if you want to feel like a vengeful unstoppable storm god this is your guy or gal. Shield / Elec Tanker - has insane AOE burst barrage 3 Huge attacks - Lightning Rod, Shield charge, thunderstrike that rotates in sync with buildup to deliver massive mob devastation every 20 - 30 sec. Dark Dark Tanker - effortless survivability and mob destruction Invul / EM tanker - IMO it feels more like what superman types should look and feel like - if only it had foot stomp.
  11. What was the difficulty setting on these?
  12. Another good early attack blooming tanker is fire fire surprisingly. It isnt bad at high levels but a few of the attacks especially single target need tuning. It did really well on a synapse for me.
  13. Weeellll you have heard of exceptions to the rule I'm sure. lol
  14. Oh i forgot to mention a few pointers also. Make sure you lead with shield charge - it doesnt break hide Then go in with AS - you should have a better than average shot to regain hide with the proc. Follow up with mass levitate it almost guarantees insight gained if you have a large group you are attacking. Finish with Greater Psi Blade. That's a good combo - add filler wherever you need it.
  15. That's. Kinda how tankers are supposed to be that early on - lower dmg mostly ST - high survivability.
  16. here is a chart that details how all the ATO procs work in case you didnt already know - or wanted to know - here it is either way.
  17. Hitting with Bonesmasher first with the critical strikes proc in it maximizes the chance to crit the total focus following the bonesmasher attack. If its in Total focus it has less of a chance to crit the moment with total focus attacking than if the power preceding it - bone smasher in this case was used to gain the proc chance to crit. I tested this in Total Focus, Bonesmasher, and whirling hands - it actually worked best in whirling hands - but its borderline counter productive to attack first with whirling hands especially in single target situations - hence bone smasher being the next most viable option.
  18. You can get fairly decent resists with EA also.
  19. If you put the Critical Strikes Proc in Bone Smasher and lead with that you get Crit on TF pretty reliably - which in turn gives you double focus - double fast ET, and that pushes the scrapper slightly ahead of the Brute IMO - however the brute does great dmg across the board and itsnt far behind the scrapper but as far as EM is concerned - dmg wise its Stalker - Scrapper - Brute - Tanker.
  20. I didnt forget about you - for some reason i was thinking you were talking about the Rad Rad - but its a Rad SS i put together for someone else. Try this - i would either put stealth or Maneuvers in that last spot Tanker (Radiation Armor - Super Strength).mxd
  21. Give this a shot Stalker (Psionic Melee - Shield Defense).mxd
  22. Definately, but I would probably go with a stalker instead of a scrapper with that set combination.
  23. At +4/8 my EM Invul Brute cleared the Galaxy Brain Silly Simulator in 21.05 The tanker did it in 28.55 That was also with no incarnates slotted. Some notes from the experience. 1. I think this would be a good testbed for how to build mobs of future content because it stressed both characters a bit. 2. I could probably refine the tanker time by at lease a minute or two - the brute by maybe a minute - I only ran it once because of the time investment involved. 3. Both ATs struggled with endurance - I had to turn off tough weave and focused accuracy on the tanker and focused accuracy on the brute. 4. Neither AT had bonesmasher or energy punch - if either had bonesmasher it would favor the brute more. 5. The tanker did clear out the trash faster than the brute, but some noteworthy observations - once the tanker got to the bosses it was mind numbingly slooow. The brute took out the bosses in 4-6 hits the tanker 8-12. Lieutenants brute - 2-3 hits tanker 4-6 hits. That's what ate up the time for the tanker boss and above fights are no their forte. 6. Neither had much risk of falling - but I did have to use dull pain a few more times on the brute. Conclusions from my first test - I think This result of the brute being about 35% better is a bit too high I think once I run it more it will end up around 20-25% in favor of the brute - which ultimately is where I think it should be. I think this points to tankers not being overbuffed - because my gah if they were nerfed it would remove this one spot of AOE minion killer they have - its a niche spot uniquely theirs at the moment where the brute is a harsh dmg caster that can do great aoe but excels at single target. I'm going to run the test with an invul scrapper amd stalkers also just to see where that puts them.
  24. Ah my mistake - never tried it just thought I remembered reading somewhere that you could.
  25. I thought you could if you locked the group then queued.
