  1. Hard to recall now. What I remember was Tony Stark’s alcoholism, a big Avengers-Sentinels run, death of Gwen Stacy, the Man-Thing (Gerber’s 23-issue run). And then you had all the occult titles. Morbius, the living Vampire. Son of Satan. Werewolf by Night (as opposed to Early Morning Bad Breath Werewolf?). Marvel loved trends, and since we’d had Rosemary’s Baby, Exorcist, The Omen, etc. boy did we get a hefty dose of the Devil.
  2. There were clunkers, but we did start to see comics start to grow up a bit, at least in Marvel. Maybe it was a bad era for DC? Anyway, as far as craptastic decades in comics, I have to go with the 90s, aka “edgelords, edgelords everywhere, and narry a story to be found.” Okay, I exaggerate — but not much. Ended up with a big parcel of 100 comics as a random Christmas gift (which included an extended run of Byrne’s Next Men, and a lot of random stuff). After trudging through a couple dozen dark, brooding, randomly violent, “we just found out sex exists!l issue, I was just, “Good God-can we get over ourselves already? Of course this was like some random lot. Maybe I got all the bad ones ... How about the 80s=“Let’s put out 300 versions of the X-Men and Spidey!” (Barf) Or was that the 90s, too? It’s hard to get past the bristling weapons, fantastic cosmic chests, and itty bitty feet. Yeah, I think I am going with the 90s, just for that.:-)
  3. Ah. Well I guess that makes sense. Thanks.
  4. So let’s see if I got this straight: all these characters (suppressed) running around aren’t Godlike enough that we need them now to be not only unkillable but also untargetable?
  5. If they're set as patrols, they will wander the map (between their patrol points, I assume [which players cannot set]. Otherwise, spawns remain stationary. This makes the moon map a favorite because it's pretty easy to get a criss-cross of the patrols. NOTE: I don't do farm designs, so everything I'm offering here is based on normal scripting of multiple missions.
  6. I disagree.:-)
  7. First Flux door mish: That's one laid back Troll.:-)
  8. After getting all of AP (which is a short jaunt around that zone), just grab Talos. It’ll drop you right near the tram and portal to most places.
  9. Interesting. People can’t agree on how to disagree.
  10. PI’m running a Fire/Savage/Sorcery Dom right now, and it has just got to be a bad idea, because, even tricked out with nice sets, dude is still so winded.:-) It’s a theme toon...undead cowpoke left to die in the desert, made a deal for revenge, gave up soul, yaddayaddyadda...idea of carrion animals and “soulfire” seems interesting, but it’s weird to play [probably because I never play Doms]. He’s just getting into his 30s, so maybe this weird idea will start to shine (or at least be less of a chore). I still like the idea. Btw, pretty sure I can list a ton of my characters as “bad” builds, since I don’t bother with mids or anything. i do remember an early toon back in the day where I 3-slotted sprint. Yup. He was almost quick.
  11. Beat me to it.:-)
  12. Well...when it comes to overbearingly long, nothing really beats Hamlet. Not that that's a good thing...:-)
  13. Many have already been mentioned, so i’ll just add Ruin Mages from early game to prevent the constant flopping. Sky Raider Engineers. Freak Super Stunners. Bone Daddies.
  14. And, just to add to the “homage-ness,” my own character in the photo is based on one of the in-game contacts. THIEVES! THIEVES! Look to your house, your purse, and your bags!
  15. What was most interesting to me was that Penny Yin was running the Penelope Yin TF. FINALLY! One of these turds jumps in to help us!:-)
  16. Good God, this white room is loud. (Any popcorn left?)
  17. For posterity...
  18. That one ranked right up there with my best “doh!”-ments.:-)
  19. And we're on the case! Extensive Redside run through end of Graves, Bane Spider Ruben, and a host of other folks (Gremlins, filthy Arachnos, and these guys, who we just hammered when they tried to book a pleasure cruise): Bapbapbapbapbap...ssssssssSHHHHHH...(flump).:-)
  20. And finally, gave Tracklash an "upgrade:"
  21. So, finally, with the western motif, went with: I'm tellin' ya, pard, I done went to hell. An' it ain't like that. Introducing: John Duke (Fire Control/Savage Assault Dom) I died on the desert... Well...not exactly. See, they left me there, outside-a Tombstone. Left dead, under the dyin' moon. Somewhere in the night, beneath the pale moonlight, my sould was transported downward, where it belonging. I was asked if I wanted revenge. I said yes. I got that, and more. I got the hellfire, and the blood frenzy. I got the madness that overcomes ya in the heat. An' now? I just cain't die. An' it's killin' me... (Never run this particular combo, so...stand back...) NOTE: Soon as I make some $$, gonna grab that coyote travel power, 'cause AWOOOOOOOOOOOO! Heck with it-used acquired ouro portal to scarf Echo:Galaxy explore. Converted those and AP explore merits into merits, grabbed a revolver (I mean...c'mon-gotta have a gun), and threw down 1M for this: See, NOW I'm ready.:-)
  22. Threw down some inf for the sm LB jetpack. Interesting look!
  23. Got in some action vs. Ubelmann today: Levelling just before certainly didn't hurt.:-)
  24. Greets, folks! Hoping to be online later this evening. Should be on for an extended run SAT, about mid morning to 3-4 EST. Hope to see y'all! H'YAH!
