This is the best sentence you've ever written. I too like to laugh at all these things. -

Not really sure what you're going on about. Neither activity is inherently good or bad, both are done for almost completely selfish reasons, and both have benefits to people that don't do them. And those benefits to other people, those are nothing more than unintended consequences. -

But what would that actually accomplish? If someone is sitting on 50 billion influence, a majority of it, likely an overwhelming majority, is just sitting on characters/emails not being used, so it is effectively already out of the game. So instead of 150 billion influence someone has 37.5 billion, what actual impact would that have? edit: Love that terrible sentence structure and overuse of commas! -

That comment didn't say farmers were an evil force, just that there is nothing inherently noble about it. -

Can't speak for that person, but unless I am literally just testing out a specific power or two, I'm not a fan of using the beta server. I'd rather create the character and let it sit unused if I decide I don't like it. I realize that's not the most efficient use of my time, but that's not a high priority for me. -

Can confirm, I tried the sitting at my door thing to earn my degree and it didn’t work. -
This is the actual correct answer, I forgot to take into account that I PL until Alpha is T3.

With the Tanker changes it could be interesting, but I don’t know the details on how the various powers in this combo were impacted. I’d go Stalker first since it still has respectable single target damage, the single target is rough on a Scrapper. While the two nukes don’t crit, they also don’t break hide on Stalkers. Second I’d go Scrapper since the two nukes are significantly better on them than Brutes because of the way pseudo pets function with fury. My first 50 on HC is an Elec/SD Scrapper and she’s a ton of fun to play. My eventual plan is to retire her for good and reroll as a Stalker.

You can just go talk to the cop I believe. I know you can talk to Heather Townsend to start the DA arcs.

Whether we’re talking this game or real life, an actual free market isn’t a thing. -

I've seen observations about prices both ways the last day or so, and I think they're all premature. First, the change just happened, so it's difficult to impossible to say what actual behavior has been changed and to what degree in just a few days. Secondly, a lot more people are spending a lot more time at home currently and from what I understand game population is consistently higher now than a month or so ago, so prices are going to behave more like weekends when they can be all over the place. I think watching specific sets would give better data than just broad categories like PvP recipes. Six weeks ago I was selling Panaceas, all of them, for 15-18 million each, though that price eventually went back down to what I consider normal(10-14). The Winter IOs going up I considered inevitable. During the holiday sale people bought them for dirt cheap by the 1000s, I didn't think the semi-lower prices I've observed the last few months was sustainable. Eventually people would sell off what they bought. Though I could be wrong there and maybe that surplus was gone by February, I'm working through possibilities. Now I'm not saying they shouldn't make more changes, just that it's too early to really determine that. -
Even less than that, I used to consistently buy it for 250-550 near the start of 2020.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, doing things in games and simulations absolutely translates to real world recognition. Telling ladies I can solo Ghost Widow is my main pick up line. With game like that it’s a miracle I’m single. -
Gonna have to /jranger this suggestion. First, I love the potential market chaos, makes things fun. I say throw a bunch of shit at the walls and see if we can somehow get Kinetic Combat to be the highest selling enhancement set. Why? WHY NOT???????? Plus, all the drama entertains me when I'm bored at work. EDIT: I JUST REALIZED I CAN PRESS CONTROL+ENTER TO POST A COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the real crime here is that Super Strength hasn't been ported to Scrappers in the update. Again, I blame Nemesis. -

This was already addressed directly. It's not the collecting of influence that is the issue, it's the creation of brand new influence at extremely high rates that they are trying to address. Collecting already existing influence does not lead to inflation, and the market's 10% cut actually helps fight it. It's generating massive amounts of influence that causes inflation. -

The PR wouldn't have been any better when the changes were made anyways. People would have just accused them of not listening and the backlash would have been similar. Plus if they did it just to make the change look like feedback played a role when the decision was already made, people would have seen through that real fast. The devs knew they were gonna get a lot of shit over this no matter what, might as well rip off the band-aid so it can pass.
