Feedback: Testing Melee Set Performance
MunkiLord replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I vote for Generic IOs. I don't think worrying about Purples and ATOs is worthwhile for this discussion as that type of slotting breaks the game for countless builds. -
How likely is this reborn CoH to suddenly shut down?
MunkiLord replied to unblocked's topic in General Discussion
Additionally these servers existing is basically free market research for NCSoft, so there is the potential for future revenue for them in this. Information and data, when used well, has massive value. -

I wouldn't spend too much effort on figuring out the pre-SO stuff. It goes by so quickly that I don't think it matters much for the context of this discussion. Plus, and this is just a guess, I think the endurance thing likely makes a huge impact at lower levels. -
I question the credibility of any list that has me so high on it.

So besides the obvious /Bio, what sets do yall think would pair well with Super Strength? If you want to throw in a suggestion for Stone as well I won't be made at you.

Which way to go with degenerative?
MunkiLord replied to Chance Jackson's topic in General Discussion
If my understanding of how this works is accurate, you are correct. My understanding is that the second proc listed only has a chance to go off if the first proc is successful. So if it's 75/25, then if the first one hits, then there will be a 25% chance of the second one hitting. So overall the 25% proc has an 18.75% chance of landing(75*.25). In case of only one proc then it will work as expected. -

You say that, but we're all being civil so I don't see a problem. The most negative posts recently are from people complaining the thread is still open and/or exists at all. -

What I found interesting is Claws appears to have the second highest end usage after TW -

Claws will never be tops at DPS, but if you use the two -res procs in the top attack chain it will be better than the spread sheet says. The biggest issue with that is getting the needed recharge in the two proc powers while relying on as little enhanced recharge as possible so they proc at a reliable rate. -
This is me. I do a majority of my converting for selling during the week, and when I have more time on the weekends is when I'll generally build my own characters. And when I'm building a character, I don't like waiting for bids to fill. A few weeks ago I paid 30 million for some purple because I wanted it nao.

It's in this thread, first post. Good stuff and Kaeladin is credible. Here is the actual spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1av2vWL9UVgGw183BbjFNweJze7N5P3Tn8tYSppdFQgE/edit#gid=890463997 -
Kallisti Wharf's first exploration badge

This is one of the best suggestions I've seen in a long, long time. It just fits, and it's perfect. I really want this to happen yesterday. -

I know you're talking about the Pylon not getting knocked down. But if I could figure out how to slot enough KB protection into my Ice/Fire Blaster without hurting my damage or recharge, I think I can get it close(ish) to TW times. Won't be able to get it to 60 seconds, but I think the right player with some luck can get Ice/Fire around 70 seconds. -
I'll be happy when Super Strength is ported no matter what. My hope is we get Rage knowing full well it will be a significantly weakened version. I'd rather have that than Build Up. But if I don't get what I want, that's ok. Besides, Stone Melee is what I want the most.

I leave Super Speed on while fighting for some of my characters, so I'm not opposed to this at all. But to deal with the issue I set up binds to toggle travel powers. If it's Super Speed I'll use one to toggle it on or off. If it's a power that turns off Combat Jumping, like Super Jump or Ninja run, I use a bind to switch between the two. The Ninja Run/Combat Jumping bind is saved to my default bind file as I take both of those powers on every character.

Let's talk about the Knockdown Proc.
MunkiLord replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm not opposed to this suggestion as I'm all for player choice. But at the same time I don't have a problem with things as they are currently. There being some sort of cost to alter how your power functions makes sense. -
Whats Peeps thoughts on Regen with a Scrapper?
MunkiLord replied to Kid Durin Danark's topic in Scrapper
Wasn't Regen changed before PvP? -

This is the exact reason I love my SR and Shield characters so very, very much. -
A Sent also did the solo Liberty Task Force, so there is clearly potential. I haven't played one myself, but what I gather from various comments is Sentinel performance has an extremely wide range.

How likely is this reborn CoH to suddenly shut down?
MunkiLord replied to unblocked's topic in General Discussion
FWIW Cryptic/NCSoft didn't have to file for copyright to the code, copyright is automatic. Not knowing the nature of the initial relationship with Cryptic, NCSoft either got it right away or bought it from Cryptic when the companies ended their relationship. Now if nobody registered the copyright that does limit how much one can receive in an infringement lawsuit. Now to the question from the OP, I fully expect the HC servers existence to be directly tied to the deal with NCSoft. If a deal is reached, they will likely be around for a while. If a deal can't be reached, I fully expect NCSoft to shut all the bigger servers down. That is unfortunately beyond my control and with such limited information all we can do is speculate. So I'm choosing to just go with it not worry too much about it. I fully realize that is easier said than done at times, I'm generally terrible at not worrying. -

I actually don't care either way how TW gets resolved, at this point I'm just looking for more information because I find it interesting. I've been watching how changes are being made and Captain Powerhouse has good judgement in my opinion. I don't trust players calling for nerfs because they haven't proven anything. Our experience with AO has given you credibility with me as well, which is why I haven't challenged you directly. If Rage on Scrappers will be as over the top as TW is currently, then this interests me a bit more as it could give some insight to potential changes. -

That depends, is the 33% above median the typical performance of the set or the extreme? I get why both scenarios could be a problem, but I am curious to how much of an outlier that one set is. -

I can vouch for this too. BillZ once soloed the entire Freedom Phalanx Task Forces in one day under Scrapper challenge rules, so no temps, inspirations, or deaths. He was Claws/Something. Right after Interface came out I was able to do the ITF solo on my Spines/Fire Scrapper, but I died like five times at the last battle. I think Interface was bugged to be too good at that time, otherwise I don't think Spines had the ST damage to do it. But I'm not positive on that last part. I have an ultimate goal of doing a solo Ms Libterty Task Force on a Blaster, but I'm in no hurry because I feel the only thing I'll really accomplish is getting every single debt badge in one sitting. -
I didn't realize Thunderstrike got extra for Scrappers. But that would explain why I still found it useful despite the long ass animation.
