    MORE TANKS

Since you say you like the big AOEs: A Fire/any tank. Burn is awesome, I'd recommend finding Sovera's Brunker thread and pick what sounds good. An Inv/SS tank. Foot stomp radius is huge, rage is unique, the combination is iconic, and Inv can deal with the crash. An Inv/Rad or Shield/Rad tank. Rad is one of the better AOE sets, it has some slow animations but is thematically and visually satisfying. Built in heal mechanic makes it pair well with armors that lack one. Inv or Shield are top tier with it. An any/Mace tank. Mace is a strong secondary with 2 cones and an aoe. Shield is thematically appropriate, but most anything works.
  2. Bio, Energy, Invuln, Radiation, Shield, and Willpower all have taunt auras. Enemies don't run when next to these scrapper powersets. Congratulations, you can now enjoy scrappers.
  3. This is actually amazing. The amount of effort you put into coming up with this many builds cannot be overstated. As far as the rankings I'm actually kind of surprised to see spines at the bottom. I thought adding assassin's strike to a set with this much AOE would turn out good, at least better than savage and staff. Also thought shield defense would be A tier, but I guess I'm just biased because I love +dmg and positional caps. It does lack endurance recovery and heal/regen options which the other two A tier sets have. I don't play the class enough to argue, I'm just somewhat surprised by the results. Also didn't know Ice armor was actually this good on a stalker (checked some of your /ice builds), you might have convinced me to make an Ice/Ice.. After I cross check my other stalkers with your builds for improvements.
  4. Claws is normally a very good damage set, but don't the dark dwarfs and some of the cims resist lethal? Maybe a more exotic primary would be better? EDIT: After researching this it appears I am probably wrong and misremembering.
  5. This sounds juicy, want to share a build?
  6. Or even Claws/Rad if you're after aoe. Rad armor has some moderate cool down attacks that can really be weaponized with procs for aoe damage. Rad is also a great armor with a taunt aura. Along with end recovery, regen boosts, an absorb, a recharge buff based on enemy saturation, and the aforementioned AoEs.
  7. Brutes actually have 700% cap on Homecoming.
  8. I have a dark/dark concept and I'm trying to choose between brute or tank, I have a few questions if you don't mind? First, how's the endurance? I assume you're using consumption on cooldown, do you frequently need serums? Do you feel you need to take ageless core when you get there? Second, has the single zephyr IO been adequate for KB protection?
  9. I made a few changes here. Dropping the 6th slot on blistering cold loses us 5% def to F/C which I don't think you need. The current value isn't high enough for iCap, or to stay capped during rage crash. Without it you're still above standard softcap normally, and iCap when fully saturated. This lets us pick up the tanker resist proc ATO which is a much higher value imo. I also swapped the set to KB because i believe it will proc better here, and you're more likely to throw KB into your AOE rotation. I also don't think you were getting much out of spring attack so I dropped it and went the cross punch route. I think you'll get a lot more use out of it. Dropping a UG io from tough lets us hit 6 piece 'geddon here which is just better. Also, feel free to turn off tough, it's not doing anything for you now with an ATO proc going. Cross punch leads to more face punching, so it's a flavor win too. Also unslotted fences, I don't find it very useful at all, damage is super low and you only had 3 slots in it anyway. Between stomp, cross, and ball lightning, your AOE rotation should be pretty good. Especially if you throw KB in on cooldown for the ATO proc. I left super jump and dropped assault because that's how I'd play it. You can swap back if you prefer the slight damage buff. Anyway, there are more experienced builders than me here so take this with a grain of salt. I'd always recommend trying it on test (especially the cross punch) before you commit. EDIT: I'd switch the sets back how you had them between HM and KB and just plug the ATO into HM instead. The ATO has better uptime in HM during single target.
  10. For fire farming the brute is still better due to how fast you can munch red candy to stay damage capped. For literally anything else the tanker should be better. Edit: Better meaning it gains more by giving up less. The brute will still likely solo clear a map faster, but not by much. The tanker will do it much safer.
  11. I was going to post something. But because what Sovera did is so much better, I'm instead going to post my Rad/Rad brute and ask if they can make it any better.
  12. Didn't feel like I needed it with Whirling Mace, Crowd Control, and Shield Charge. The built in KB made it seem like the right power to skip.
  13. Hey guys, trying to get better at using mids. Planning out an SD/WM Tanker. I found a good build a few pages back but it was lacking both taunt and clobber which I think I'd miss. Please take a look at let me know what you think. I realize i'm below the defense incarnate cap, but I imagine I can make up the difference off team buffs there. Energy resist is a bit lower than I'd like, but I'm not sure if that will be a problem. Let me know if i'm missing anything important.
  14. Anyone have any suggestions or Is there a better place to get this kind of help?
  15. Had problems with the build export, hopefully this works. 16. Hey guys, Just started playing again recently and I have a claws/rad scrapper that I'm enjoying quite a bit. I think it's likely he'll be my first 50. I'm a fan of min/maxing and build optimization in games but I've not got much experience in this one. Below is my first shot at a build. I know I'm over resist cap on some types but I'm not sure what to do instead. Since this is my first character I'm a bit constrained on cost, no purples besides the ATOs. I'm sure that something must be missing but I have no idea what. Any help from experienced builders would be greatly appreciated.
