  1. While crappy from a damage per endurance perspective, that can be somewhat fixed with slotting. Superior Command of the Mastermind provides 89% endrx, and Superior Mark of Supremacy 145%, providing amazing opportunities for frankenslotting of these IO's. Masterminds can vary greatly in how much free end they have, tightness of builds, and how much time they spend using their secondary in fights. While I would like to see the attacks buffed so they all provide some sort of mechanism similar to Pack Mentality or a USEFUL debuff like -resist, they can add a decent amount of damage for a solo MM.
  2. They can do the AT benefits first, then individual sets second. Perhaps Tanker sets that are more ST based could be given some splash damage ala Thunderstrike, to allow them to benefit more from the AT's AE enhancing nature.
  3. Currently there's a significant gap in the sets with a pet at 18, and those without, as this allows for more chances to slot the global defense/resist IO's that honestly are needed for higher tier content. Additionally, the mastermind personal attacks are also skipped. Why not help kill two birds with one stone and open the set attacks to slot the mastermind ATO sets? It would incentive taking and slotting the attacks, adding utility to powers often ignored. Plus masterminds have the most limiting ATO's for slotting options, as only three to four powers per sets can accept them.
  4. Human form should be viable. What is the other option? Half ass blaster and half ass tank that occasionally drops into human to pop inner light? It's also entirely relevant because of the "whaa, game too easy!" opposition to buffs/QOL adjustments. Play fucking Darksouls if you want a challenge. Or use TO's if you gotta flex that epeen.
  5. Well you can always play witgh TO's to show you're a "real gamer" lol. The rest of us bads will take our QOL upgrades to make a marginal AT with a disadvantageous secondary effect more user friendly aside from permalightform/billion influence builds. It's not this forum, its been every forum since issue 0. Most people want KB changed in some fashion. Its fun (almost exclusively for the user) at the expense of some effectiveness for the team. Moreover, its irritating for many people, much like a coworker who doesn't bathe. Yeah, I can still function, it just a mild, constant nuisance. I say this as someone with an energy sent who frequently knocks shit out of my own range.
  6. Gotcha. they're still the most damaging attacks by far. Do you really think sents would be OP if those 2 attacks were made KD? Do you really think sents would be lacking in KB options if those 2 were made KD? If it was viewed as a QOL change for other corresponding attacks, why the hell not port that over to PB's?
  7. A peacebringer not using melee may as well roll a sentinel IMO. And the devs have already said sents are underpowered...
  8. Meant Radiant Strike, not Dawn. Dawn I'm more OK w being knockback as it least is a Nova analogue. But your basic melee attack shouldn't have random knockback. Solar Flare maps to Footstomp, which was changed from KB to KD in Issue 2 (along w almost all other melee KB powers).
  9. At minimum, Dawn Strike and Solar Flare should be made KD instead of KB. There's a reason why essentially every other melee attack with KB was changed. Khelds are slot poor as is.
  10. I think we'd see a lot less griping if Sudden Acceleration wasnt designed like ass. It wastes an absurd amount of enhancement budget to buff knockback to 210% then removes ALL of it? The set bonuses aren't particularly bad either. Make a new set, Sudden Deceleration, with enhancement values comparable to Thunderstrike, and no wasted portions going towards KB that will just be removed. Maybe have the 6th slot bonus also give a -2 knockback global mag for those that want it.
  11. Not really. A few % more on some abilities, tough and weave vs a small damage advantage that is even smaller solo or when procs are taken into account. It's basically meaningless in how they work on a team. The damage boost is happening. Deal with it already.
  12. There's not enough design space between two tanking AT's with essentially the exact same powersets to really differentiate them. There barely was with Tankers and Scrappers before Brutes came along. I think its most reasonable to just accept that this is a Defender/Corrupter situation and stop trying to carve something miraculous out of the sliver that separates the AT's.
  13. Brain fart on me. I read that as Dark Servant, which has Chill of the Night. Yeah, I cant think of any reason for the warshade pets to do that.
  14. They have a small damage aura IIRC, so that is probably why they do that.
  15. I don't think adding extra smashing damage corresponding to the KB magnitude would make them OP. It would also give a stronger reason to slot KB increase, and those that used the KB reducers would miss out on that extra damage. You'd have to DOUBLE the damage for explosive blast before it equals the DPA of Fireball.
  16. It's not a question of adapting, but being irritated frequently in one's leisure time. Do you want to sit next to a random person that smells like cat piss? I mean, can't you adapt and hold your nose? That's KB for many people. That constant, mild irritant that detracts from their fun. So lets stop trying to gaslight people. You arent a master player for dealing with KB, you simply have different tastes.
  17. I'd also like to see a mode where all bosses are upgraded to elite bosses, and all "named" bosses to AV's. Throw some leadership toggles on them, and fights would last a bit longer too. If higher level content is made though, the purple patch does need to be re-examined in terms of how it interacts with debuffs. Currently buffs have more impact against high level foes. Given that debuffs take time to apply, often require accuracy checks, and draw aggro, this needs to be fixed. A 5% maneuvers shouldnt be better at making things miss over a 30% to-hit debuff.
  18. Maybe its time to accept that KB is the burned popcorn/microwaved week old fish of the office lunch room, and that some people just don't like the smell? It doesnt make them bad at the game, or big fat meanies, they just don't want so sit at the same table.
  19. I've heard this, but there doesnt seem to be any reason why that would be in the power info. My guess would be that the subtle choking animation for Fire's hold gets overridden by other controlled animations so it seems like they do less.
  20. Rather than cement Power Boost as something only really valuable to force fields and maybe empaths, we should instead make a portion of the self buff of those powers unenhanceable. Remove the restriction on resistance for Power Boost while we're at it to sonic can get some love. Resist actually runs into an AT specific hardcap so feels less open to abuse. It also seems that power boost should enhance defense/resist by a lesser amount, as befitting their enhancement scaling.
  21. 45 degrees is a really nice arc though. It's a boss power, plus you can buy plasmatic tasers to double down on it!
  22. I'm still not sure how "you might get the option to join a team that wouldn't invite you currently" is a big issue. KB greatly annoys some people. Those people don't necessarily want to fight static enemies dropping out of a tube or only farm chump content. If they cared that much about efficiency, they certainly wouldnt be teaming with randos anyways, as weak IO slotting "slows down" a team more than AE KB does honestly. They simply don't want to be irritated during their leisure time, because that one time on a mission where their target goes flying over a rail pisses them off like nails on a chalkboard. Its an argument of pure emotion. Similarly, the "benefit" of KB is really only fun (mainly for the user, as with all the effects I can't tell what is going on half the time). It's not really any safer for the team than KD, so there's no point presenting it as a significant advantage.
  23. Umbral Torrent and Energy Torrent deal the same damage per mids at least. There are a number of differences, but damage doesnt appear to be one of them.
  24. Alternately, a bit of mez protection in the shields, to give people a reason to take them. It doesnt have to be much - mag 2-3. Just enough to give human form some dignity and be useful other than crapping out dark extractions, inner light, mires/eclipse and going back to a shapeshifted form.
