  2. And why exactly do these powers need to be "balanced" when there's no need for travel to be a time sink in a non-subscription game?
  3. Clicking twice and typing some crap as opposed to just hitting one button? Yeah that doesn't fit my understanding of "might as well". w/r/t the changes it's a definite improvement but I'd still like to see shorter cooldowns across the board. Sure 10 mins per mission seems right if you only run radios in PI but those of us who only speed TF are never in a mission that long. I'd also like the PD porter to stay. The only reason I don't use it now is the long interrupt time made it faster to just base macro and use the porter there. Something on a different cooldown that can get me to PD (when my 2xp or amplifiers run out mid-tf) and back without burning multiple charges of the general use teleports is worth a tray slot to me, especially as it already has one on all of my toons from when I bought it at level 1.

  5. I loved both seasons and I hate almost everything. And no, Frostbiter, you didn't really miss Ackles, he's slated for s3.
  6. A solo numina could be 14ish uses in 10ish minutes assuming you use mish tp for either mish 2 or 3, save TT for the last mish and use ouro to azuria. I've been known to hit all but 2 or 3 of the hunts even on a full team. Of course there's very little chance I'll still run numina without /ebfp since I already do it rarely now and never need it for TFC thanks to the ease of invader on HC. But there are plenty of folks who still always do that accolade blue side.
  7. Oh i get that it was bad, for all the reasons you've said and then some. i just was commenting on the whole 'release the snyder cut' meme gaining enough momentum that WB decided to throw more money at doing just that, despite the dumpster fire that was BvS.

  10. I for one wouldn't care if the kill all greatly outperformed speed in such a test and i'm guessing the non-speed crew wouldn't care if speed outperformed non-. It's personal preference really. I get on a plow itf, not even kill all, and i'm already losing my mind by the altar. I recognize there are folks who're just as bored by speed as I am by non- and that's fine. i'm just annoyed when occasionally i'll run into someone who won't join a speed even when they have nothing else to do because they think the gains are crappy.

  13. ATOs don't boost so no on that. I'd just store them til you're 50 and buy new ones for now. then unslot the regulars for your next blaster.

Another issue I have with the changes are the zones where the current base exit is far more convenient as an option than the base portal location - let's take brickstown for example. currently you have 3 entry points - you can lfg to manticore (assuming solo), take the train, or use the base exit. the former two take you to the northwest corner, which is where the sg portal also is. the current base exit takes you down to the southwest near the crey's entrance. That extra entry point is often incredibly convenient - i very often on manticore exit a mish, see where then next is and use the base macro to get to it and assemble faster than my teammates can get a third of the way there. it's also the most convenient entry point for hunts in manti/numi. just off the top of my head i know of several zones where having that extra exit point saves time in certain situations but would now have those entry points basically duplicating an ouro or train exit - atlas, sharkhead, st. m, nerva, founders, rwz.

  16. Maybe: should check on test if there's been a change to the way the added levels are displayed. Currently combining hami-os will give you a 50++ rather than a 52 and the +'s are removed if you try to list it on the AH.
  17. It's not that bad, I used to do it on every toon on live back when merits were at a premium. But I'm not going to bother if the cooldown is 10 minutes.
  18. 10s is still excessive, not just you. Are they still interruptible by an ouro portal or time HoT ticks or a light breeze?
  19. I've never heard of anything remotely like different completion bonuses depending on the amount killed. I'm always amused at the idea of kill most or all being better xp than speed. My crew speeds then immediately moves on to another speed tf. So we're essentially killing tons of AVs and EBs and getting mish complete bonuses instead of sticking around in missions killing trash mobs. Plus the merits are much better if you care about those. If you just want to kill everything because you enjoy it that way, fine, but the idea that it's bad xp if you speed is suspect. As to the OP I'd have probably sped it on my own and tp'd to the computer, assuming i wasn't on a crappy lowbie. But if something's advertised as speed you shouldn't feel bad about leaving if you were on a time crunch an they audibled on you.
  20. (Assuming you meant team teleporter) yes, you can. if i'm team lead i'll summon it first and can call the contact while it animates.
  21. Dom builds much faster when teamed, maybe you do that more on HC than live.
  22. somebody's trying to look like a psychic. also the founder's beacon drops you at the eden entrance, which is quite useful on numina when you're not one of the FF rikti killers . if you want middle of the zone you use ouro. There are a few of the base exits that are specifically useful for numina and the mercy exit is super useful for renault, e.g.
  23. depends what you mean by viable. the alternative i've seen seems like a whole lot of added stuff to essentially remove it without really replacing it. but yeah i think there's info out there that we're not seeing here yet as I've heard the same specific info from multiple sources. it's not what i'd call a viable alternative but then i'm entitled and lazy.

Is it considered a "change this and I'm leaving" post if I say that a lot of us already have about every toon we wanted to play finished up, are getting a bit bored with an already shrinking population and are really not going to want to play very often if the game is like it is now but with extra pointless travel added in? It's not like it's a subscription game and travel is a time sink. There's already plenty in this game that isn't playing the game such as sitting through unskippable cutscenes and npc chatter for the thousandth time. Added travel is just going to pile on to that. I get that it wasn't intended and may have been being abused but is the solution that's being given really a better one than just disabling it in pvp zones and on master runs?
