Mystic Flight = Fly + Teleport It also gives you access to the rest of the Sorcery Pool, and Spirit Ward and the (I forget the full name) Ward are useful powers to have on builds that have Pets (including teammates!) or want to resist/refuse mez attacks before reaching Incarnate levels.

I just love how Ninjas forgot to add a digit to their Defenses ... leaving them basically Defense-less. 6% ...? 13% ...? That's IT ...? THAT'S NOTHING!! And pretty much the only realistic/useful way to raise those numbers for far too long was restricted to choice of Secondary powerset, which in practice meant Forcefields or NOTHING until Time Manipulation (and Farsight) came along ... and the ATOs with their bonus IOs didn't show up until even later after that. There's a reason why Ninjas were known for being the absolute squishiest of the squishy-squishable pets. It was well deserved.

... a ... at ... You Have Been WARNED.

Why aren't you considering Nature/Dual Pistols?

Looks like the Perception Filter is malfunctioning again. Do we have anyone with Time Manipulation and a Technology Origin who can fix it (on short notice)?

You can lower the difficulty one level down to -1 That works for instanced Door Missions. For street sweeping out in the open world ... not so much ...

I've always found that trying to (force) the UI window into alphabetizing the zones listing is a mug's game. Personally speaking, I always found it better to try and organize the pads by geography, putting "adjacent" zones on particular pads, and then using the posters of the Freedom Phalanx to provide the necessary mnemonic aid to remembering which pad goes where on blueside (redside had so few zones that it was really easy to remember without the help).

Any ease of use macros for Soul Extraction - pet release commands?
Redlynne replied to SmalltalkJava's topic in Mastermind
Ninjas throw smoke bombs and vanish, leaving no corpses. Robots assume "launch posture" and rocket up into the sky, leaving no corpses. Guess what the other primaries do when you dismiss your pets. -
NO.

Traps Controller: Trip Mine vs Time Bomb question.

That ... is a thoroughly EVIL idea! Make it so, Number Bomb. -

Send in the Drones ... What?

Yes, I used a version of Pines that was updated to include the Sudden Acceleration set. It was posted here (elsewhere) in the forums.

Huntsman (pre- and post- 24 branch leveling builds)

In a word ... FUN ... Whatever makes you happy. No seriously ... It's slightly endurance consumption negative in sustained combat, but it's going to take a fairly long duration to drain down low enough to be something you need to slow down attacking a little in order to reach break even on endurance recovery. But all you need is a pause (or a blue skittle) between fights and you're loaded and ready for another shower of brass shell casings. -
To be clear, you're talking about the "object FX" rather than avatar animation when the power is cast. I'm thinking it ought to be relatively simple to "explode" the objects flung upon contact with the $Target. As is, objects that are summoned/thrown by Propel are essentially "weight 1" objects (which allows them to be moved around like styrofoam) that persist. Simply putting a duration on how long the items persist would be an improvement.

Pets, Personal Attacks, How do you like to build your character?
Redlynne replied to khy's topic in Mastermind
For me it's mainly a matter of (powers) slot pressure. If I'm dealing with a Secondary that doesn't involve "Take All 9 Powers" then I'd want to pick up a few personal attacks out of the primary powerset. But if I'm on a build that needs 6 power picks from the primary and 9 power picks from the secondary ... and that's before choosing Pool powers (1 for Hasten, 1 for Provoke, 3 for Leadership toggles, 1 for "travel" power) ... which point I'm already up to 21 power picks, and almost no room left over for personal attacks from the primary, especially if I want to get an Epic Pool too. So in that respect, I view the personal attacks in the primary the most "expendible" options for being able to have enough power picks for all the things I want my Mastermind to be able to do. -
I always had ... fun, I guess you could call it ... with the Katana zealots while playing Redlynne, my MA/SR/Soul Scrapper. I'd watch the damage numbers we would both be outputting on targets ... verify that the Damage Per Attack numbers were in my favor (even without Focus Chi/Build Up) ... and then say in Team chat (a few times): "My sneakers are doing more damage than your sword!" They rarely had any comebacks to that (true) observation, so it rather neatly shut them up about how "superior" Katana was to ALL other melee primary powersets. *^_^*

Well ... you're certainly welcome to launch your own server and edit it the way you're talking about in order to make your dream come true ...

Ah ... there's the problem. Serum has a 1000 second recharge time ... due a typo. The recharge time should have been 100 seconds. Cryptic Studios apologizes for the error (that never got fixed). /sarcasm But that said, reducing the recharge on the power by a factor of 10 would seem to fit the bill for costing minimal Dev time to fix, while at the same time improving the power dramatically. The irony is that even doing something this drastic wouldn't "overpower" Serum, due to how poorly balanced it is in its original state. A more serious (simple!) modification would be to change the recharge from 1000 seconds down to 120 seconds ... or even 180 seconds if you want to put the recharge a little too far away from getting down to 60 second with enough enhancement values (and buffing for recharge). Point being that Serum just needs (dramatically) better uptime to become less of a "garbage" power like it is with a 1000 second recharge.

Nul the gull kheldian toggle please.
Redlynne replied to Gauntlet_Prime's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm pretty sure that if the Quantums and Voids and so on were simply "swapped out" for Soldiers of Arachnos (etc.) no one would have a problem. Likewise, I'm pretty sure that if the Quantums and Voids and so on were simply "swapped out" for Malta Sappers that EVERYONE would have a problem. So there's that ... -
Yes, only Time Crawl applies Delay. Use of it is less "needed" on a Controller, simply because lockdown mitigates the "need" for Time Crawl, but being able to put Time Crawl onto "hard" targets (like Elite Boss and up) would certainly be beneficial in a wide variety of situations and matchups. Correct. On the Homecoming servers here Wormhole does not draw aggro.

You're certainly welcome to take the "lessons learned" from this build and (*ahem*) cross-pollinate them over into Plant/* to make another build. That's kind of the point of posting up this sort of thing ... inspiring others to do really nifty stuff (too). And the ironic thing is that I was kind of wondering today what Mind/Nature would have looked like instead ...
-
It's part of the reason why I wanted to put Energy Font into Wormhole on my Gravity Controller and into Terrify on my Mind Controller ... but was then later convinced to put the set into Crushing Field on my Gravity/Time build would be be a superior option ... because Immobilize field + Stun field = Hold (Minions) field. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Counter-proposal: Here is a link to Serum for its stats and effects. Here is a link to Tactical Upgrade for its stats and effects ... note the arrangement of Grant Power and the conditionals attendant upon those granted powers. What if Serum were changed from being a Mastermind buffs ONE of their Mercenaries for 60s every 1000s (for a stupidly low 6% uptime and a crash after 60s) ... to instead being retooled as a Grant Power (to Medic) type of Click power. The idea is that the Mastermind hands over a supply of Serum drugs to the Medic, who will then be able to dispense that Serum to anyone on the team who does not have a Serum buff on them. Modify Serum's effects to be as follows (when done as a Grant Power to a Medic that does not stack and will not be recast on a $Target while the buff is in effect): Serum has a 1.3 second cast time. Make the Grant Power to Medic version use this 1.3 second animation and give the Grant Power to Medic version an 8.7 second recharge ... which means that the Medic can cast Serum 6 times within 60 seconds (1.3+8.7=10*6=60) which is enough to "perma" Serum on 6 teammates EXCEPT the Medic (because the Grant Power does not allow casting on self, only on others), which would then be all of the Mercs plus the Mastermind while soloing. However, when in team/league situations, who gets the Serum buff would tend to get "spread around" the group, rather than just confined to the Mastermind+Pets only, but it would still be no more than 6 individuals per minute who are getting buffed ... and because the Merc AI is doing the targeting, the Mastermind wouldn't be in a position to pick WHO gets buffed at any particular instant. The result remains a Click power (sort of) that requires a Medic to maintain it and which is a power "authorized" by the Mastermind but not directly controlled by the Mastermind commanding the Mercs. It will also cost the Medic 18 endurance per minute to keep 6 allies per minute buffed with Serum. Reset the recharge on the Serum power used by the Mastermind to be 600 seconds ... such that if the Medic faceplants your Mastermind can't necessarily have a fresh supply of Serum to dispense to the Medic "instantly" for the Grant Power handoff ... and call it a day. This then yields a motivation/desire on the part of the Mastermind to "protect the Medic" in order to keep the Grant Power of Serum from the Medic "rolling over" for the Mastermind (and friends). How's that grab ya? Feel free to tinker with the stats in the framework I've provided if it sounds overpowered.
