I don't 'make' you look. That's a different game.

Oh I was just pointing you to a discussion that proposed saving some of the PL time.

Yep that is all I'm trying to point out is other player behavior can have an affect on our game play. Good, bad, other. There can be an affect. I'm all for supporting folks playing how they want. It's a massive game with places for all sorts of activities. I get zoning out crushing gobs of mobs, I get wanting to skip some levels, I get wanting to fund something, I get not wanting to run all over multiple zones. AE is super handy. A whole stand alone game could be the character creator and an AE room. The whole game is farming whether it is one door, street sweeping, task forces. The whole game is gathering resources and applying them to further our characters. It makes little sense to argue with the 'how' a player chases those resources.

Maybe get better at Energy Assault. Random?! That's what I meant to do. A good knockback player can knock mobs into a teammates AoEs. Players can figure out when knockbacks are helpful and when to lay off. We don't have to use all our powers all the time. Choices -> Consequences

Do you think maybe if players had a way to level up short of 50 it might stimulate more play and more alts? I just struggle with the number of PL'd characters and the overall amount of time wasted door sitting. 1-40 is a blip economy wise. Definitely open to other ideas. Agreed. I think if folks have earned it, they should be able to focus on level ranges that interest them. If you wanna make a new 50, here's a way to level up closer to that goal and still put some stuff back into the game. I see little difference between a player taking an alt 1-50, and the same player taking 2 alts 40-50. It should be about the same amount of time and the same rewards, right? We have so many character slots, let's use em. Alts are good for my crafting. Alts are good for my marketing. Alts are good for finding that forever character. Alts cure all.

They almost cost AE Vet Levels and now maybe Emp to RMs. Those are affects to many, you included. Maybe you've never been in AE or never converted an Empyrean to Reward Merit. You say it yourself:

Heck ya!

Thumbs down.. Confused.. That's all you got?! Where's the piles of negative feedback I deserve? I tire of logical retorts, pithy comebacks and glib replies. Bring it.

Good point, maybe make a suggestion. (though I don't think they are as extreme as you're making it out compared to the issue at hand) I think some tweaks, not nerfs, may be in the same release. Not eliminating speed runs, but increasing some of the risk, and at least making them a bit more dicey. Aren't there diminishing returns in repeating TFs? Are you asking for the same treatment on AE Farms? I don't think that would be very popular, but you do you. //////// oh, geez. not thumbs down with no explanation. OH NOOoo..

Look man, the targeting computer was never gonna work. I would never have considered this.

Dear casual AE farmers, As you may have noticed, there are some changes heading our way. Some of the changes are to fix errors or oversights. Some are to help in other areas and aren't intended to specifically target AE farms. Only one change is specific to casual AE farms and that is the moving of AE Buildings from starting zones. Other changes however seem to be targeting extreme offenders and these end up affecting a lot more folks. Why aren't more casual AE farmers angry about the actions of some bad actors? They are the ones to blame for your frustration. Not the person debating the value of 'playing' content. No one is coming for normal AE farms. Seriously, go farm some exp, $$, or drops all you want if you feel it's fun and efficient. It is likely a few abusing exploits or other tactics who are forcing changes. Don't like the changes, at least blame the right players. Sincerely, Troo

is that a comic book reference?! well played. Pocket D entrances from the starting zones are available, Atlas to Pocket D is comically easy. Pocket D also have vendors and trainers without having to leave the building.

Yep Rs, Vs, & Ps would be my guesses. But we're left to guess based on incomplete data.

Oooh, good question. Shit! What if it's just been the 6 of us all along? It's been reported that some run afk farms on one server while doing stuff on another. *gasp* It has been outlined how one player could legitimately be logged in on over 10 accounts at one time (multiple severs, 3 accounts per server yada yadfa). Sounds extreme to me but there's a reason changes are being looked at and it isn't for QoL. Safe to say that number could be half or less. Yep, it shows number of accounts while saying 'online players'. Numbers rarely add up on that page and doesn't show the whole story.

Directional indicators for contacts/targeted entities

It moves and can be made more transparent than other 'windows'. but I understand a heads up display style without the menus and the border might be nice -

Players... or accounts?

Yep, as is the slotting in other powers. Doesn't mean a power is of no use beyond the slotting, you'll see Taunt and Consume fully slotted to chase Fire Defense and Recharge while Summon Striker is getting that 6.25% Recharge. It is an older thread. The build shown is still a very strong one. It is also pretty intense and very expensive. There has been some discussion on proc slotting for Burn and Irradiated Ground but that could throw off a build's overall recharge. Do folks need a build so intense.. nah. There are relatively cheap builds that will do the job and can be more fun. As to rotation, the damage auras are also busy doing their thing. I like to change it up a bit. Why be wasting Burn on minions and such, maybe AoE, then lay down the Burn. How dialed in a rotation is and the endurance situation could determine how much free styling is appropriate.

My bad, I meant a little shorter cast time on MoG. An almost 3 sec cast on a 15 sec duration.. That's posing, fist in the air, for 20% of a survival powers duration. {I'll clean up you thread here in a bit}
-
Yes. Though it is nice to have a set or two without chasing defense. If Regeneration had strong Regen Debuff Resist, Rech Debuff Resist and a little shorter activation cast time on MoG it would be in a good place. Three small tweaks. Layered resist and regen should be good enough with some incidental defense.

I put the edited one above. Over 50 is a good place to be. (that is a bunch to not have to regenerate) Your build looked better than the Stone Melee/Regen Brute I took through the 4x8 Trapdoor. (build was posted there, it was not dialed in) Since I main a Regen Stalker I had to learn all the tricks. The Brutes and Scrappers likely need to lean on tactics and knowledge to push the envelope. (-rech, -regen & blinders are priority targets)
