  1. There is no Invisibility any more for that power pool. There is only a janky new Travel Power that could be mostly replaced by stuff that doesn't require a power pick. N3RF softcaps!! seriously though, it is trooly epic to take in just how many changes have happened in i27.
  2. So you are confirming that to your knowledge it hasn't happened. Save the "yeah, but..". We get the follow the link, signup, and check in from time to time and you might be able to participate. Opinion and as such sort of irrelevant. Open dialogue about what's working and what isn't working, wish lists and product roadmaps are common place. Letting folks outside the dev team know when a change is being looked at and offering the opportunity for actual feedback is also common. It's not just common, some might consider it best practices. With the small team Homecoming has and the limited time/resources there is no expectation of what an enterprise operation might be doing.
  3. You're asking for the Dev and Community teams to do more work within the limited time they have available, slowing down the process, and you don't think you're advocating "throwing sand in the gears"? And that's setting aside how contentious the process is unquestionably going to be. Participating at the point in the discussion, at the topmost levels and fairly early in the process, you are essentially a Dev. You're making significant decisions that affect the course of the game and the play of the entire playerbase. It's a responsibility, a burden. (Heck, so is properly participating in Open Beta.) And you need to be able to move beyond the weaksauce "well, I didn't see anyone asking for this" and "well, I haven't seen any builds using this". Come on. Folks are not asking to dictate to Devs, it seems you are misunderstanding what is being asked for. Please re-read what I wrote. specifically, " inform folks that discord has a discussion on some upcoming proposed changes ". I'm not talking about just providing a link. Thanks for the more recent view, I was not going to provide anything current.
  4. Having the Weekly Discussions documented in the Official Homecoming Servers Forum at least let folks point to a discussion that was had, and which may have summarized feedback from various sources without the promise that any changes would even be made. In this way, later down the road, a player could at least see what was talked about before and some of the reasoning behind things. That's a decent way to avoid the perception that major changes to existing powersets are being driven by a small secretive group in a race to make everything the same.
  5. It has been mentioned in the forums that procs 'could be looked at' but there was no defined timeline. This was maybe 2 springs ago. So it has been around. I don't think the goal is to nerf them but it will likely feel like a nerf to some. ..of course this is not as valuable as a blue name saying what's what, but that's not likely to happen.
  6. @Doc_Scorpion I believe, and correct me if I misunderstood @scottocamp, they are just asking as many of us have over time.. "how can folks be involved earlier in the process?" Many are not looking to be a dev, but interested in participating earlier in discussions before fully baked beta builds show up. Pointing to Gold Standard Testers is all fine (though early on I was told it was not an official channel, opinions still seem to differ on this). I've not seen a post in these forums that endeavors to inform folks that discord has a discussion on some upcoming proposed changes. What do G.S.T. Discord topics look like? Here's a peak from earlier in the year.. or last year.
  7. you've earned one today.
  8. like bear spray for rolekis

    The maths...

still waiting.. so what's the deal @Yomo Kimyata? the pile of rare salvage I'm waiting on is holding up production.
  10. It would be great to see more details on preferences or areas that need attention. Examples: Level Range Trial Purpose Length Story Type Enemy Groups Should we have more trials which can be relatively short or more sweeping epic strike forces? Something in between? Personally, I could appreciate a series of trials or strike forces which reinforce expectations at given points as players advance in the game. It's not sexy. for reference Trial (https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Trial) A Trial is a type of mission arc that is similar to a Task Force/Strike Force but with fewer missions. Trials contain unusual encounters with enemies that require a high level of cooperation between team members to conquer. Special rewards are given at the end of trials, such as respecifications or enhancements that affect multiple attributes. Most contain a timed finale mission. Task Force/Strike Force A Strike Force is a large-scale story arc in City of Villains. Strike forces are equivalent to Task Forces in City of Heroes. Strike forces are similar to Story Arcs in that they are a set of missions that tell a story. Strike forces are started by talking to a strike force contact, which is typically a unique NPC or signature villain. Unlike story arcs, strike force contacts cannot be outleveled. Strike forces can be started at any time, provided a team meets the strike force's requirements, and characters may run them more than once.
  11. Thanks @Cobalt Arachne & @Number Six. This almost had a 'behind the curtain panel' feel which many appreciate and would like to see more of. @all - Feel free to start up another topic on forum pvp, farming or what-not. That way details related to those discussions can be properly dissected and debated without derailing this surprisingly productive topic. (that's not a challenge) No problem with expanding this topic to be general 'communication' and how the sharing of ideas between players and with the HC team is best accomplished.
  12. Name squatting is a great point. Insta-anything would need to be exempt (potentially flagged as a level 1 for name) OR this could be an opportunity to introduce a Global+Name type convention,
  13. It sounds like there are some reasonable concerns that would need addressing. No point in quibbling too much. Assume this was going to happen, how could concerns be addressed? I thought letting folks jump to ~40 would help keep drops flowing as they played or pl'd to 50 and beyond. Congratulations to those being able to level up a new character in mere hours. Not everyone can do that. (To be clear, stated hours likely being an exaggeration in that this typically does not include selecting powers, acquiring enhancements, or slotting, much less creating an epic costume, optional backstory, chasing accolades & incarnates, and funding said new character)
  14. welcome back
  15. That seems very reasonable and fair @Cobalt Arachne. Thanks. @everyone - I thought the weekly discussions were a good thing. Discussing potential improvements or changes in direction without the promise that anything would come of it. These also let those who don't discord follow along with what was being discussed there in a summarized manner.
  16. inspirations?
  17. Above is an older less expensive build 200M / 120-ish slots is about a 1.65M per enhancement average. You may need to plan for a smidge more when all is said and done.
  18. Whatever happened to the GM led Weekly Discussions and the associated write-ups? https://forums.homecomingservers.com/search/?q="Weekly Discussion"&quick=1&type=forums_topic&updated_after=any&sortby=newest&search_in=titles
  19. fudge.. well played.
  20. 150 emails with a Villain or Hero Merit = 7.500 10,000 Villain Merits = 500,000 10,000 Hero Merits = 500,000 10,000 Reward Merits there could also be unrealized RMs in other loot or unclaimed.
  21. I think you left off a number of zeros... I believe the reward merit maximum is 1,017,500 for a single character. Congrats on the third alt. Whatcha gonna choose?!
  22. congratulations! This is troo and it has been a bit more underground / have already figured this out. Fire Farming was the easy intro. Now more specialized options will grab some attention.
  23. There is a mean spirited trolliness that is more than evident. 'Ignore' or 'report' being the lamest and only realistic options available. We could make a list of the worst and have them removed, only to then need to make a new list and repeat until we're alone.
  24. As for dead horses, bean boozliing, gas trucks, detonators and claims of troofoolery. Smashing/Lethal Farming is a valid topic which has not been discussed nearly as much as forum moderation, fire farming, power creep, the cottage rule, reward changes, etc. It was a quick topic on the way out of town. My name is not Che.
