Of course this will be a QOL Upgrade courtesy of the ACME Family of Companies, Home of the Deploy Anvil temporary summon and the Rocket Skates travel power. ( Both cause Smashing/Lethal Damage, to YOU )

What to take and what to pass on, if any. Have him to almost 40 and want to set him up for the next 10 levels. Also what would you do for an Ancillary Power pool ? Don't really need a Build as much as what works well and what could be left out in favor of something else. Thanks

Saw the traffic tornado, funny. Nice looking Zone, does anyone know what it's purpose was going to be? Seems like it was either going to be a Co-op Zone or something like that ( the way it is divided by the bay ). Actually Harvey Maylor assigned me a door mission there a while back so it is in Queue to be a potential mission location from some contacts at this point.

Enhanced Taunt, PERFECT!

Strangely the other day, Harvey Maylor assigned Marine a door mission ( fighting Malta & Carnies if I recall ) in Kallisti Wharf. So my best guess is that it is in some sort of queue to be the location for Story Arc Missions. I thought it was cool to finally christen the new zone, even if it was just a door mission. I liked FBZ and Shadow Shard stuff back on Live, most was solo friendly and interesting.

Went to each PVP Zone with new badges listed and documented it. Siren's Call 1: Hangman/Hangwoman 2:Politician 3:Broad Shoulders 4:Piratical 5:Wasted Resources 6:Hot Dog 7:Stll Standing 8:Volitile Bloody Bay 1:lobbyist/Crooked Politician 2:Hungry/All Consuming 3:Imploding 4:Goulish 5:What Lurks Beyond 6:Burgermeister 7:Mostly Harmless 8:Restless At This point I have found no changes to badges in Warburg or Recluses Victory, however they did not award an Accolade for collecting all the badges so something may be in the works. I will keep an eye on this and post /loc data when the additional badges appear.

If you remember, one of the biggest Tanker Nerfs of all COX history was the reduction of the Taunt Cap. You literally could have a well enhanced Tank lead huge mobs around like they were on a leash. It really didn't affect the effectiveness of the Archetype on a Team Mission, just the fact that you used to be able to do more. This may be why Leandro is against reversing it. Enhancement Diversification really brought Tanker damage down a peg, then Invention Origin Enhancements brought them back up. It's all about balance. Still my favorite Archetype, and I tried about everything on Live, except a Petless Mastermind.

Also from USA, North Central Ohio as a matter of fact, hope you are having a great time.

It's right there, see it ( pointing...) .......are you looking at the end of my finger?
-
Yes, Vidiots Map Display shows the list of badges, plaques etc. where ever there is available space. You will need to pick up the reveal Veteran Reward Power from P2W Vendor in order to see the Lists as they are in a non-explorable part of the map.

I've noticed that people really like to chat and argue and complain in any channel they please. It really defeats the purpose of having a Help Channel, LFG Channel, etc, if you have unrelated chat going on constantly. I seem to remember the chat not being so cluttered all the time, are there more selections in the default chat tab on Homecoming than there used to be? It sure seems a few hundred are producing more chat than I recall on Live and I was on Virtue. Granted we can edit the Tabs if we wish to, but even though most of my playtime is early AM on Reunion, I often have to scroll back through the queue to read a relevant text.

Seems you may be correct. Went to Siren's Call and only the original 4 badges can be collected and the Overlay lists 8.

Back to the Original Topic, since we have have strayed into more Jr. Windbaggery and Amatuer Psychological Analysis, I think there is something , at least on these forums you have to keep in mind. Users Online 250 Guests, 78 Users (4 Hidden) That was just now, lots of readers, but to Reply you must be a User and logged in. More Guests than Users means a lot of views without replies. Also some people read and don't feel that they need to add information or voice their opinion, others you can't get to stop, but I don't believe it's personal, just they way things work.

Does anyone know if there is a real reason that the Information Kiosks note at the bottom of the Character Screen the number of trips to the top of the Atlas Statue in AP. Is there a Badge that is awarded after multiple trips or what?, otherwise it is a weird thing to track.
-
Have noticed this as well. The posts that get responded to the most are ones that provide an opportunity to show off their " Jr Windbag Society " credentials ( Bob & Tom Show Reference ) or to take sides in an argument, to win at all costs. I've had a post up for 2 days looking for Badge Clarification and nothing, not even the Windbags bestowing their all knowing wisdom. I played Live from May 2004 ( had to wait for broadband install ), but everyone seems to have started Playing in Beta and were personal friends with the Devs. I would look more at the fact that a lot of people only interact when the have something to gain or they want to Windbag by raising their nose in the air and explaining things. I don't believe it's personal PK, just a sign of the times. I am almost 56, started this game when I was 40. Yet I see the same things you do on a daily basis, more in Chat in the game where people will argue in the Help or LFG channels making them almost useless because the people using the channels correctly scroll out of sight before getting a response. Social Media was in it's infancy when this all started, and is now all grown up with a bunch of hang ups. I will just wait it out till the herd thins out once people who just wanted something shiny see something more shiny.

Went to P2W and got Reveal Power. The Vidiots maps overlay lists 8 badges for the Zone. Paragon Wiki shows only the first four, went to locations for 5-8 and was unable to claim any of them or find a badge marker at the locations marked.
-
Have there been any new badges added, in addition to the original 4. I got all of them except the one on the Casino. But the VM overlay showed what looked like a Badge Marker along the shore and one in the Cemetery east of the existing Ghoulish badge. I zoomed in on the map and they seemed to be badge Icons but found nothing there after a lot of missing HP. Got my Shivan Shard and the Gunner Badge, easier than I remember, Especially taking out the turrets to access the computer. Did it on the first try. Nice to have that one for tough missions.

VidiotMaps for Issue 24 and Beyond
Marine X replied to Blondeshell's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
This is what I see when I go to Brickstown, all other zones seem fine and up to date. Have re-downloaded twice and replaced the files, weird. -
I just had a weird thought, the "Echo" zones have Mobs and NPC in them, at least I think so from when I was Badge hunting. So what would happen if you rolled a new toon and then went to the Initial Contact for your Origin in Echo: Galaxy City? I actually started a few there when I first started playing ( Issue 1.5 ) and recall the missions were completely different from say 1 - 5.

I have also noticed that some of the finishes and textures look dramatically different depending on your graphics settings. When I set up my wife's PC to play on Homecoming and logged into my characters. Holy Cr*p, I look like Cr*p. The proportions were wrong etc, and costume pieces all looked wrong, changed all the settings to Ultra and resolution to 1920 x 1200 and there I was! BTW/ My historical request has always been the Same, I want dog tags for Marine, and they should move, Thank You.
-
Been there done that, recently. I made a costume for Bubba Burns, son of Enos and Ophelia Burns, my Radiation Melee/Fiery Aura Brute who is a bit of a non-metro male Hillbilly and already featured aspects from the Monstrous Fur costume overlays, not the costume pieces, so I could have him shock my SG Mates when they find him swimming naked in the Cement Pond in the base. I may post redacted photos later.

Agreed that it was always present in CoX, but it was much more of a minority. Paying for Power Leveling was considered under the EULA a violation and could get you banned from the game. There were Player run farms, usually a Freakshow or Family mission that they would clear everything but the boss or a glowie and then restart. Then we had AE, It wasn't created for farming but you have to know they knew some would use it for that, but without an outside entity profiting from it. But Today is different, we have a mix of Veterans who wanted the game back for years and new players experiencing it for the first time. I have always thought this game was something special, and guess I would like the new players to get to see the parts of the game I thought made it cool. The "Looking for Group" channel is packed constantly with requests for Death from Below and Drowning in Blood. The Help channel is full of people asking questions about really basic parts of the game. Keeping both the NEW and OLD players happy is the only way this new version of CoX is going Survive, we need enough people to make it financially viable as a community and donation supported enterprise. Let's play well, TOGETHER...

A C Volt Electric/Electric Tank " After a long night of Whiskey and Beer at the Wet Spot Bar and Grill, Alan Carson Vohltman decides to head home. As he stumbles toward home along the roadway, nature calls. He walks off into the woods, to a cliff and unzips to relieve himself.....directly onto the Electrical Substation in the valley below. After recovering from this shocking revelation he realizes he has an extremely strong stream and that the charge has activated his latent mutant ability to store and direct electricity. So, sobered by the experience, he heads off to Paragon City, where his newfound abilities are sorely needed."

On the Knock back discussion, it isn't, in some cases, just inconvenient. A lot of Tanks defense is based on the number of opponents in melee range, if they keep getting pushed away, the defense drops, sometimes tragically if you are dealing with Enemies who have ranged attacks and are still Taunted ( They Hate your Guts ) but out of melee range. You can manage this by working, if you can, use the Knock back to push them toward the Tank instead of out of melee. A Blaster called El Jugador ( Player in Spanish ) from our Supergroup on Virtue was energy blast. He would send them flying into walls, trees, cars, mailboxes, shelving, Jay Leno, crates, stairwells, platypuses, KFC, other enemies....anything really, as long as it was near me. This was an extra bit of work on his part, but very appreciated.
