Also the coordinate System gives you a North/South, an East/West and an Altitude, extremely helpful in determining that say, the badge isn't on top of the hill but in a Cave beneath it, which is not something you get from Vidiotmaps. Takes some practice to get used to it, but very precise.

Absolutely, you just need to create a Titan Network account, Then locate the Help tab and this contains editing guidelines. Keep in mind that Paragon Wiki only accepts info that was accurate at the time the game shut down. To my knowledge there have been no story arcs added until the recent New Missions, so the ones you found should be included in the Wiki.

The Current PUG Meta (aka ramblings of an old man)
Marine X replied to Gulbasaur's topic in General Discussion
As a fellow Old Man.... I can appreciate the struggles with the changes, I started Playing Shortly after Launch & had to get this new fangled thing BROADBAND if I wanted to play. I was a subscriber till they told us in August 2012 that they were shutting it down. I was 40 years old when the game started, 48 when it went away. I am 55 now. I was so glad to just have the game back that a lot of the changes slipped my mind. I totally forgot about Incarnate Abilities, some of the proliferation, and how Tanks were sort of considered by many to be irrelevant. Team Tanks were what I did, almost exclusively. The pace of the game now is partly a product of Brutes trying to keep Fury pegged, a fascination with who can do it faster and a generally less Comic Hero Population. Anymore getting to the next crowd first and laying down your thing is way more Important than holding Aggro away from support players, who end up dying repeatedly when left to deal with more than they can handle. It's just the new normal, not better, not worse, just different. I solo a LOT. Like all the Dark Astoria Content. Once in a while I find a team of like minded people and usually end up with a new Global Friend or 2. I'm still having fun. I just rolled a Bio-Armor / Savage Melee Tank, he just finished the Hollows and is 14, and I like, a lot. -
How small could CoX be and have you still play?
Marine X replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
I came here the same route as Abraxus, so it actually surprises me we have never ran into each other, or have we? Played on Live from end of May 2004 till Sunset ( Subscriber ), then Titan Icon which was cool but a bit sad and empty, and finally Paragon Chat. Codewalker just kept little updates coming that kept me coming back. The best of course was badge hunting. Much like on Homecoming, a lot of people are of the mind that faster is better. But when Everyone ran out and loaded Vidiots Maps and had all the badges in a week or so, I was doing it using only Map Coordinates or Paragon Wiki Descriptions. It gave me three and a half months of nice mellow entertainment. I even found my way to the secret torture room Redside. I guess I just am not someone who needs a lot to keep myself happy. I appreciate anything I get and that includes having The City back much as it was. I will probably download and archive the server files so if something happens I have options. Could I play as the only, or as one of a handful of heroes in the city?, sure, would it be as much fun, probably not, but I'd just have to make it work. Titan Icon, Monster Hero Mash-up I created in Atlas Plaza. -
Vidiots maps shows him in Dark Astoria just south of the Reconnaissance Officer, but for the life of me I can't find him. Was he abducted by Rikti? Was he munched by Mott? Is he off on a Spiritual Retreat? Vegas? Holding a Tupperware Party? Driving Route 66 in a Pink Cadillac? Partying Down in the Tiki Lounge in Pocket D? Filling in for a friend as Door Greeter at Walmart? Off to get a thorough Manscaping? What?

Guess I just assumed everyone has dabbled in the New Base Options, but it doesn't seem so. If I posted this in the Base Building section everyone probably knows more than me. Just thought I would list off some of the Highlights. 1) Icon Employee/Face Maker NPCs are available for Placement in your Base. No need to go to a Trainer or Icon for those Minor or Major Costume/Character Overhauls. 2) Auto-Doc may only Dispense Level 1 Inspirations, but it buys salvage and some lower tier recipes at about 3 to 4 times what you can get for them from the Auction House/Black Mkt. 3) Pillar of Ice and Flame is available as a base Appliance and allows Flashback Content. Easier in base where you have a complete TP Bay than Ouroboros where travel is limited. 4) Vanguard NPCs are functional when placed in Base. To trade in Vanguard Merits etc. 5) Crafting Tables in the base are still available, although access to the /AH menu is not. 6) Multi-Level Base building allows for new outdoor base areas and for an amazing amount of options, 7) Each Zone Teleport Pad can now have up to 10 Zone Teleport Beacons each, including all Hero, Villian, Praetorian, Echo Zones and Pocket D, allowing for more Compact TP Rooms. 8)Control and Power are only required for a handful of items such as TP and Autodoc. But there is virtually no limit on Decorative and Background items. 9) Internal Base Teleportation allows you to place a destination Marker where you want to go, then attach a matching Beacon to a Wormhole at your Departure Point, handy for Multi level bases with outdoor or underground areas. If I missed something feel free to add it to post.

Shield Charge from the Tanker Primary has a very TPish animation and may fit as a mid tier assault as well. The only problem I foresee is that it would almost have to be a Tanker/Brute/Scrapper set, if you Aggro but don't defeat that many targets, you are going to need some thick skin to survive the aftermath. You could almost build this set yourself, to get a Nightcrawler like set by taking a Tank with Shield Defense, a sword assault secondary, maybe Katana, go heavy into the TP Set and Heavy into Stealth. At 50, get your Incarnate slots open and take Vorpal for Judgement. ScrapperEpic Pool Dark Mastery also has a few powers that would give the Appearance if not actual use of TP. Power Level Effect Torrent 35 Ranged (Cone), Minor DMG(Smashing), Foe -To-Hit, Knockback Petrifying Gaze 35 Ranged, Foe Hold Dark Blast 41 Ranged, Moderate DMG(Negative), Foe -To-Hit Night Fall 41 Ranged (Cone), Moderate DMG(Negative), Foe -To Hit Tenebrous Tentacles 44 Ranged (Cone), Moderate DoT(Negative/Smash), Foe Immobilize, -To-Hit It has three cones that all use a Dark murky energy appearance much like the cloud of Brimstone from Nightcrawler. Just a few thoughts...

It is possible since the Winter Beast is all but a GM he maybe partially based off of their mechanics, and since GMs levels are Based off the Zone /Map level he may not be able to exceed 50. Just a guess.

Have you seen Vorpal Judgement in the Incarnate Abilities? The animation is very close to being just what you described. It is a Multi Target Melee Cone attack ( 80-120 ft, 80-120 degree, 20-40 max targets ) and deals extreme smashing damage and may cause lethal damage over time. They may be able to rework it into more of a moderate damage melee and reuse a tweaked version of the animation. Below is a Video.

Request: Give PCs as many of the NPC emotes as possible
Marine X replied to PhoenixCE's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I want "Vomit" back, there used to be an /e string to do it but it was renamed or disabled. Just the perfect emote for many situations, lol. -
Have you noticed that the trees leaves have changed color around Atlas Park in keeping with it being Autumn, nice touch even though it's not an event.

On a Sailboat floating off Talos Island.... On the top of the Atlas Statue.... On the back deck of the Cabin at Everett Lake, Perez Park.... In the Middle of Moth Cemetary...DA Tucked behind Jack in Irons Throne, Croatoa... Center Point of Valor Bridge, IP... Top of Vampyri Mountain, Striga Island... and many, many more!

Entrances to Pocket D are in the Following Zones or by using the "Pocket D VIP Pass" Teleport Power ( usable once every 30 minutes). Hero Kings Row Faultline Talos Island Founders Falls Villain Port Oakes Sharkhead Island St. Martial Praetoria Imperial City It is marked on the Map in each zone and the Marker is Targetable as a way point. Sometimes it's a Box Truck, sometimes a Sewer Entrance, always Fun.

In The Hollows, in Grendel's Gultch, the Pumicites and Elder Pumicites wander around in the open, but aren't the Magma Lords what pop out of the ground if you cross the smoldering patches on the ground? I seem to recall you have to be in level range for them to pop, but you could probably do it exemplared. And there are lots of them, everywhere. If they count.

From Paragon Wiki: Denial of Service Badge (Redirected from Denial of Service) Description You crept a bit too close to the danger zone and got burned. How to Get Attempt (and fail) to pass through the sonic barrier surrounding Praetoria. While there's no formally marked spot for trying this, not every rush into the barrier will get you the badge. Most spots just send you to the Hospital. If you get one of the right spots, however, you will be teleported to a safe distance...hopefully before your hit points finish running out.

I think I was awarded this Badge from running into the Sonic Fences in the Southeast Corner of First Ward while trying to find another badge, had to look it up as I had never seen it before. Is it possible there are multiple ways to get this? My memory is sometimes a little Iffy, but I swear it was First Ward, I've never taken Marine to Neutropolis.

I like The Island Resort concept, The Undersea would be cool and everyone has been asking for the long ago in development hell Moonbase, the Asian Culture Zone could also be a long needed stronghold for the Tsoo, they just don't really have a home like say the Council on Striga, Skulls and Hellions in Perez and Trolls and Outcasts in the Hollows. I wish they would do something with some of the existing virtually unused zones first though. If you changed out the spawns, in say Boomtown, from Council and low level Clockwork to something higher and more Intimidating, say level 54 knives of Artemis and Cot, spin up a new repeatable story arc for the zone and there you go. Since most of the CoT content is in caves it would be interesting to Use some of the newer cave maps and interject elements of CoT Architecture into them to get a new Map feel. We are going to start getting Top Heavy with level 50+ Players with nothing new to do. I'm really thinking about starting to put together a story arc along those lines and see how fresh I can make it feel, I know AE has limits so it requires a good story and some creativity to carry it.

Why isn't there a badge for defeating Hamidon
Marine X replied to Jaack's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Or you can just be a Suicidal " Busy Little Bee " and fly directly above the Badge, turn off fly and fall to your death landing close to the Badge Marker. Badges are way more important than life and debt, lol. Clearly the Best name for a Zone Exploration Badge Accolade. -
Great Idea, and opens up all sorts of character options from Ghost Whisperers to Exorcists to Ghosts herding other Ghosts.
-
It would actually be helpful if the first person to find a GM would announce Monster/Zone/Closest Map Marker ( ie, Palladin, Skyway, 200yds west of Hide Park Marker ) in the LFG Chat, ( that is if it isn't being used for Political Debate or exchanging Recipes, lol ). Isn't there a Monster Chat channel already, seem to remember hearing about one.

....and the Pesky Rularuu Floating Eyeballs of various Ranks just ignore all defense types it seems, not sure how, but boy they do it.

Sappers are just something that you have to Identify in a crowd and make sure they go Bye Bye right quick. Master Illusionists and Ring Mistresses also need to go first into the abyss when in a mob or become trouble. Paragon Protectors at 1/4 Health letting you punch them till you run out of endurance, priceless. But I would have to say the most annoying for me are the Council Ascendants, they wait until you almost have them then Shields On ( +regeneration, +recovery too ) and they are almost unhittable till they drop the shields, Just like Fake Nemesis. There are a couple missions where there are Herds of them, a very, very long annoying mission, lol.
-
Sounds a lot like Unveiler for 100 Fake Nemesis, just takes a long time to even find that many. And of course Nemesis only spawn a few places with Fake Nemesis as a Possible member of a spawn. Good Luck on the CoT, some of these Badges are just intended to be difficult to obtain.
