The only thing I ever thought that Champions Online did right ( I loathed the entire open instance that you had to be in almost all the time ) was allow a player to become a giant Monster. What if you could actually be Jurassik, Jack in Irons or another existing Monster, I know you'd end up getting your butt kicked but it would still be a blast. That would be a short but truly epic archetype to play.

Have this to Level 10 so far and it feels really good in combat, almost more like a high defense/high resistance Scrapper. I've been screaming through missions and barely having to watch his health. Granted, I haven't cranked up the difficulty but it seems very good on both sides. Any Pitfalls or warnings on this combo? Any "don't bother" Powers?

Shielded Cabling can help protect against EM Interference from Fluorescent Light Ballasts and such but has not been used much until recent Alien Cross talk* Issues made it necessary for Cat7 and beyond. Most shielded cable installs end up ineffective because people don't properly install it. You have to Ground each cable at Patch Panel, use shielded jacks at user end and use shielded patch cords for it to be fully effective. Some older Cisco equipment used to have a reference in their Warranty Declarations that use of shielded cabling would void the equipment warranty, not sure what they thought would happen. I have an older home, and have been reworking the electrical but have very limited pathway choices for the 2nd floor, so some cabling will be in the same chases as Electrical. This makes using Cat7 worth the hassle, but just for those runs, the rest will be Cat6. Insulation Comes in several Grades: Riser: ( PVC ) General use single space cabling, not recommended for Multi-Floor Installs, also used for most patch cords. Plenum: ( Plenum PVC ) Enhanced to not release toxic fumes when burning, If your cold air return for HVAC is thru the Ceiling, this or above is required by Code for commercial installs. Good for Multi-level and ceilings. Polyethylene ( CPE ) Outdoor Rated and resistant to heat, sun and environmental exposure. There are numerous others for specific installation needs. * Crosstalk between Cables In a Shared Pathway

It is selectable in Windows Features but when it goes to activate it it fails, the files available on the PC won't work for mine or don't exist on the PC. Have tried downloading the Installer and it fails. I thought I would try the method Tahquitz showed but it also failed ( I don't have the discs for this particular PC ). So I looked for just the Binary, no luck, everything so far is an installer that looks to Windows Update, then fails to install. Looked at the DISM log and it is failing ( both Tahquitz or Download method ) because it cannot find the specified files. No clue why.

Just a long shot, but why not create an account with the incorrect global email and see if the system completes the delivery. Wouldn't take long to set up since you already have the game loaded and might let you retrieve your goods.

Have a PC at work that has this issue that I need to install .Net3.5 to get an ESI App running but have not had any luck, even with this. Add / Remove Windows Features has a box for it but apparently the actual Binary is missing. I'll have to do some digging and see If I can find the CDs for it. Don't under stand why they don't have the binary available as a download instead of a bunch of bugged installers, that would make it just a Command Prompt action.

I don't have a laptop but I do have a Dell Gaming Desktop, I'll have to check to see if this applies to it as well, I am hardwired and haven't noticed any issues though. Getting ready to rewire the house soon, but don't want to suffer in the meantime. Most of the cabling is Cat5e or below, yet I have gigabit equipment, which can lead to disasterous amounts packet loss. Need some Cat6 0r Cat7 to future proof my network for a while. Going to put in a 2nd AP while I'm at it.

I can just see it now "Spikey Burns" starring in "Love Hurts" or "Meat Tuxedo" starring in "It came from Outer Space". Not sure if the bill boards are a separate asset from the building or background they appear on, but not a bad idea. If the movies on there now were good enough to have been running for 15 Years straight, they should have been nominated for an Academy Award, or at least a Golden Globe, maybe a Razzy, lol.

Was trying again, unsuccessfully, to get a good Zombie group going, and got an invite to team. I figured someone saw my "building a Zombie Mob" text in LFG. I join team and it was a level 32 Player doing the Mender Lazarus Task Force who had already done the first mission but needed help. Not sure how he could invite me after he started it but OK, I'll help out. We go to Oroborous and enter mission, we're doing well till he keeps wandering off, he finally finds Nosferatu and dies while I am taking Nos down from Fire from soldiers behind him. We move on to the recruit Burkholder mission and he runs off, finds and gets killed by Burkholder. I defeat Burkholder and give him an awaken and we exit. We enter the finale mission and he Stays pretty close by and after Hooking up with Nos and Burkholder we enter the final area with the main objectives: ( I'm exem to 32 by the way, and everything is purple or red, so he must have been at +4 ). Take down the 5th Column Defeat Requiem Defeat Maestro Defeat Vandal 115 5th Column to Defeat I start on the troops at one corner of the room and in groups Taunt them over and take them out. I notice he is still up on the overlook with Nos and Burk but continue on till the floor is cleared with no help from the player or the Pets. I look up and he has a quitting timer above his head. Not sure what to do, but all that was left was the bosses. I gather the pets and assault the EBs and then there is a spawn of support troops. Finally finish them all off and exit to mission. Will he get the Mission/TF rewards? I hope so. I waited and checked, he was offline or hidden. He added me as a Global Friend at the beginning of the first mission so I'll be able to contact him eventually, but what do you do? He was either young, inexperienced, foreign ( I'm on Reunion ) and didn't understand the missions. Or was just using me to get the missions done? I have no problem with that but, geez at least hang around and help finish the mission. I like helping out when I can but don't always get the best results. What would you do?

Aah, that makes sense, the Nemesis Staff and Blackwand were Vet Rewards, the Croatoa Stuff were earned in game. All coming back now, good catch.

deep breath, hold it, breathe out slowly, foooooh....ok. 1) As much as I use the /ah almost every day, I was thinking myself it was detracting from the experience a bit. Having to actually go to Wentworth's to Deal with Salvage and recipes was a part of the Reality the game is set in, and I like trying to play the game on it's terms, and immerse myself in it. Some " make it easier " things are just very tempting. 2) Gimmees and all that. It's the purpose of these forums to allow us to discuss City of Heroes and Homecoming. If you want a change, or want a change undone, This IS where you can discuss it. We've been asking for some things for Years, ( fingers for example ) including during the Original run of the game, that never got taken care of when there was a full paid staff working on the game. I don't think you're going to be getting those changes now, even with a Team of Amazing Volunteers we have. But, It doesn't hurt to ask. 3) There's a lot of Game here no one ever plays, there are a lot of badges most people never get, there are Accolades tons of people never get, and places few people go, but that's their choice. Anyone can play this however they want. If you don't want to use new features, good for you , I may even join you, but I don't think we need to undo them, too many people on the other side of the opinion. Perhaps just hearing your reasoning may cause some people to also join you. Good Luck

I was actually thinking it would be hilarious if a Villain won, but not surprising. The whole idea is just a role play / Forum game thing for the Most part, but would be a source of some activities here and there. Maybe I should see if Mender Silos wants to run, or Recluse, he has experience managing a large staff, hmmm...

I can run at full Ultra even in Heavily Populated areas. Mine only came with 8GB of ram so I ordered 8GB more when I bought it. Custom Builds are great but this thing is not much more than a regular desktop. ( mine also came with a DVD Drive which I use to watch movies some times, this one doesn't have an optical drive )

I think I'm going to go ahead and make the Mayor's Office Bases now and get them up and running as it may take a bit. Like I said they will include TP, crafting and an Auto-Doc. I think I may also include an Icon Branch Office for Private Make-overs and a City Pool. Once up and running I will post the access codes in each shards Forum and in the roleplaying forum..

The lore mentions previous Mayors of Paragon City. I think we should have a Character for Mayor Election where players create a Character to be a Mayoral Candidate, Run a Campaign in game and in forums, and then post a ballot and hold an Election ( Poll ) to determine the new Mayor, this could be an annual Event. Was thinking we could also make this a complete reality if they actually served at community functions and had a Mayoral Office, ( a base with all amenities with a Public Access code with T.P. to all zones, Crafting, Auto-Doc, etc. for use by players who have no base access. There would have to be a winner for each Shard so that the base access Portion would be functional. Any thoughts? Smart Remarks? Nemesis Rhymes?

Updates that would probably be relatively easy would be billboards with more contemporary fictional Tech products and services. Also if any kind of deal could be reached with NCSoft, some real life products on billboards would make it seem more realistic and could provide an additional source of operating revenue for the non-profit. Some more urban renewal, parts of say Boomtown and maybe some more progress in Faultline. I think it would be cool to add an airport but that would require a bunch of coding. Could we have a few kids please, otherwise it seems more like the City of Clones if everyone here are adults, which makes me wonder about Penelope Yin.
