  1. The first iteration of the Hollows wasn't "fun" hard, it was "badly designed and frustrating" hard. Third time back from the hospital, you finally get to the door... and there's a red-conning spawn ten feet from it. I'm very comfortable saying I don't miss that.
  2. He's actually in Steel Canyon, across the square from Positron and Valkyrie.
  3. To answer your second question, the set was in development on the Test server when NC pulled the plug. As to the specifics of how the power works, sorry, don't know enough of the specifics.
  4. Hey, So back in 2012, when I heard the Radiation sets were coming, I got very excited and specced out a rough draft of a Rad/Rad tanker. Here we are seven years later, I want to take the beginnings of that work I did, and rebuild it into a Brute. I have just a rough outline of a plan, so I don't miss something obvious as I level. I'll obviously need to rejigger some choices to earlier/later levels, to accommodate the Primary/Secondary swap. For now, I'm just looking to make something that will work with SOs and Common IOs. A Set-Piece monster can come later. If you've played Rad/Rad, and have some thoughts on what order to take what levels, I'm all ears. Thanks! (I didn't include any info about what levels I slot things. I figure as long as I keep aware to not give something more slots than I'd planned on, I can just go by feel on that part.) Generator EDIT: I did a little jumbling around of the order, I think I've got something that can work. LMK if you got any constructive feedback. Rad/Rad Brute build: 1. 5. KemLi was one of the guys on Pinnacle I miss. He had an outstandingly four-color-ish Inv/SS Tanker, Solaris Titan, and he was the first one I saw use Issue 3's "new" Knockout Blow, and it convinced me it was time to get going on Gatecrasher. He was also just a great guy, and in the later years, ran tons of Incarnate trials every night out of the PinnBadges channel.
  6. Hmm, the only downside to that news is that enhancements that cost under 100 Reward Merits can't be picked up with Hero Merits. Historically, I've had my Rogues pick those pieces up and ship them off to my Heroes and Villains. Thanks for the info!
  7. Which brings me to the next question, how much does that IO cost?
  8. This was pretty much the theme song for one of my Rogue Brutes back in the day, and I think some form of him might have to get back into the mix. :)
  9. Hey guys, the patch notes for i25 mention the new Knockback set.Can anyone tell me the cost in Merits of the KB > KD piece? I didn't see it in the patch notes, and I'm at work, can't pop into the game to check it. Thanks. Generator
  10. "As all things should be..." Thanks for all the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into this. EDIT: Auroxis, I'm sure I'll regret asking, but why aren't they running them now? /braces_for_impact
  11. Hey there, So awesome to be able to talk about stuff like this again! So I found a Mids file that looks like a fairly accurate representation of my where my Tanker stood as of late 2012. He was approaching (but not at) the defense cap, and had reached the point where the urgency to finish the build just wasn't there, as he could really stomp the crap out of stuff. Now, though, the plan is to "ramp it down," and make something that's playable with SOs and Common IOs, and then gear it up from there. Looking at this, one obvious place to cut back is the Fighting Pool. That was only ever there so that Weave could help me raise my Defense. And if we have the time (and I have the desire and opportunity) to once again become an IO'ed out monster, maybe it'll come back. But for now, I think it's skippable. Anyway, here he is. Coming soon: what I plan to start working with here. 12. Yes they are, I've got a few of them already. I have pretty much forgotten how to use them, though....
  13. Ah, well, on the upside, that silences all the "Why didn't you do that back in 2012, you numbnuts?" that's been going through my head about this for the past hour. :)
  14. Yep, that particular IO can be found here. As I said earlier, it came out the summer right before the shutdown, part of that "Movie Blockbuster" event. I won a full set of them by dumb luck*, but never figured out what I wanted to do with them before The End Times. *A Hamidon raid on Pinnacle was being hosted/sponsored/whatever you want to call it by some SG (I forget who exactly). It just so happened that day that the combat log said that Generator was the one who defeated Hamidon, so as a surprise prize, I was gifted that full set. Sometimes, people are all right. :)
  15. Me, I was partial to punching the bejeezus out of Hellions in PP for that purpose. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to. :)
  16. Not this guy. I held off slotting anything until I was 12 and could start using IO-15s. It's nice to have IOs that, five levels from now, won't vanish like Thanos snapped at my build.
  17. I remember those being part of the "Summer Blockbuster" event, from the summer right before the hammer dropped on us. What's the availability of those here in "Homecoming"? You just intrigued the hell out of me with the idea of putting that into Hand Clap, but I don't know if I can fit another power into my build.
  18. I'm chuckling at the description of Dechs' work as outdated. We did have a six and a half year hiatus, y'know. ;)
  19. There was this one Freakshow boss, appeared in three or so missions, most of them from Doc Buzzsaw. Spoke in leet-speak. Always a hoot seeing him.
  20. Yup, just pulled up the ones I had been working on after downloading Pine today. Great, thanks for confirming. I've got all my old files, I'll pick up Pine soon.
  21. You can try Pines Hero Builder. It's pretty much Mids but updated for i25. It includes Sentinels. Silly question: will old Mids files open in Pine? Just want to make sure.
  22. Yeah, I can neither log into the existing guys I had on Torch, nor can I get a new guy created on either server (the latter, at the very last step it says no).
  23. Hmm, isn't it first in Alphabetical order? So if someone doesn't GAF, they just click on the first one in the list? Just a theory.
  24. I guess now we can call those "Sentinels", right? ;) Always loved mixing it until with my Electric blaster. Between three holds and the End drain, I was largely able to pick my moment, then get in there and wreck faces. Good times!
