Hey, So last night I was duoing with my buddy's Archery/TA Blaster. We were seeing something a bit weird, in that when he fired Glue Arrow at the mobs, we'd see little DoT ticks (each one like a single point of damage) on the affected mobs. Any idea why the Glue was doing that? Just curious.

Let me ask this, what are the build's design goals? All the IOs you're stuffing in, to what end? A common goal is to up the total Defense to 45% ("soft-capping"), but this doesn't look like it's what you're doing. If I had to guess, I'd say the 53% Psi resist you've got is probably what I should be looking at, am I right?

My only gripe with it so far (my Rad^2 is 33) is that the cone attack uses the same animation as Ice Melee's Frost power, but it seems to be using a much narrower arc. I keep expecting it's gonna tag more guys than it does.

No, you're remembering that correctly. I forget the exact number but the difference is in the 10-15% neighborhood.

Somehow, an EM/EA Brute was my first level-cap villain. It was like a bumblebee, I flew before anyone told me I was supposed to crash. I might have to make another one, try taking her out for a spin.

Martial stuff (both Blasters' and Doms' flavors) were scheduled for i24.

I think Marcus's point was that EM's AOE is no great shakes, so being able to replace at least that much AOE should be pretty doable.

And I come at this with the PoV that saying, "The hell with it, anything goes," might not be a great idea. If you keep adding new options that are head and shoulders above the things that are currently there, the question rapidly arises, why would a rational actor ever choose the original choices? If the only answers one can make are "flavor" or "nostalgia", something has gone a little wrong.

That's interesting. I always felt Ice^2 was pulled from COV Beta far too quickly (it was in literally the very first build, then someone voiced this concern and it got yanked without actuallly, you know, testing how it played). I may have to try it out.

Hey, So I've got a Brute that will get this power soon. How do folks slot it? Way I see it you could either slot for heals and let Fury bring the damage, or slot for damage and let the heals be incidental. Opinions?

In the Invention Set guide, sadly the whole section on Alignment Merits is obviated by Homecoming's changes to those rewards. Apart from that, though, that one looks in pretty good shape.

When I was trying to focus on Drain with my Blaster, I'd try to lead off with Short Circuit, then follow right into Power Sink. With SC having the longer animation time, I felt I had a better chance of getting both laid on if that one went first.

I used Galaxy until the revamp, but I ended up liking the revamp of AP, so IMO it was a wash. -
Mine stalled at 31, just because other alts took priority. I'll have to take him out for a spin. Thanks for the encouragement!

Ice/EM was my Tanker for my friends' team of alts on Liberty back in the day. I'll see if I've still got his Mids file, assuming I remember this evening, of course :) , and if I've got it, I'll post it.

I'm fairly certain that I used to use the +Stealth Freebird piece in Fly back in the old days. I got in the habit when the Lambda trial came up, and I'd sometimes need to move past mobs at speed without getting splatted. Thanks for reminding me!
