  1. IDK, so I figured I'd ask. On a scale from 1 to GTFO, how hard would it be to make new Lore pets, assuming you did it using existing mobs/artwork/powers? I was just thinking some things like Mu Mystics or Devouring Earth Lore pets would be cool. Later!

    Also, if memory serves, for both PI and FF, the arson key mob spawns pretty close to the front of the mission, if that matters to you. (Sometimes it does to me, depending on my mood and what alt I'm playing.)

  6. Thanks for confirming. I actually doped that out last night. Got her up to 19ish then, and she's already pretty great. I've gotta say with the Tanker boosts to AOEs, Spin is absolutely roomy as far as the area it hits. 😁 Looking forward to this. Thanks and have a good rest of the weekend!

The plan this time is to take an old Mids for a Claws/SR Scrapper, and flip her around as a Tanker. 1) Any general feedback on this powerset combo for Tankers? 2) On Tanker SR, where is the auravoke hiding?   11. Going with Mu is a bitter pill to swallow if one is playing a hero. My Elec^2 Dom referenced above did that, and I just gritted my teeth all the way through it. Not that the patron arcs are hard to do, I'm not saying that, but I was just sitting there thinking, "She's not a villain, and I shouldn't have to be here doing this just to get some powers that match." I mean, just to spitball a "Charged Mastery" Pool for Doms: 35: Shock 35: Ball Lightning 38: Charged Armor 38: Power Sink 41: Surge of Power That looks fairly in line with other APPs for Doms, let me color-tint those, and I'm happy as a clam. 🙂 Have a good one!

  13. Any thoughts on which Interface to use? My first impulse was Diamagnetic Core, to stack that -ToHit.
  14. Truth, I was like >< that close to doing that exact thing. Last second I changed my mind and went to the Leaping Power. I think once I've got Musculature up to T3 and can afford the endurance cost, I'll try respeccing into that. Thanks for the suggestion.
  15. Hey there, So while there's been a really great job getting Primary and Secondary powersets proliferated, Ancillary Pools lag behind a bit. This was driven home for me on several characters recently. My Ice^2 Scrapper, for instance, has ended up throwing Shurikens around, and he'd much rather be flinging Ice Blasts. I have an Electric Dominator and a Controller, both of whom would love an Electric mastery APP. Cold/Ice Defender that doesn't have a Cold-themed one, and so on. It's not a huge issue, but I really think it could stand to get some attention. Thanks for your time! Generator
  16. Hi there, So I got this guy to 50 last night, and he's been a hell of a lot of fun. My only real gripes are: 1) Spring Attack feels very meh. I know it's lightly slotted, but it was a spur-of-the-moment add to the build when I dinged 49 and I might respec it out. I'll probably just take Stealth as a LOTG mule. 2) I'd love a more thematically appropriate APP. I don't see any reason why we couldn't just do a straight port of the Ice Mastery APP that Brutes and Tankers have. (This is a symptom of a larger issue, a lot of Archetypes could use one or two "elementally" themed APPs added into their repertoire. But apart form those minor nitpicks this guy's a hoot to play. I started working up a Musculature Alpha, but I might also try Agility. Got any suggestions for that 49 pick? I'm all ears.   17. I know I've relayed this info before but I forget to who, so I'll tell this anecdote again. I remember being very bored at work about 10y ago, so I sat there with an Excel spreadsheet and compared out the DPA values* of all of the "Heavy hitter" single-target attacks that Tankers had, so this compared GIS to things like SS's Knockout Blow, WM's Clobber, and so on. I just remember that the findings were GIS was in last place by a mile (as expected); it was so far behind the pack that just to get into the median value, it would've needed a 90% boost to its damage. If you shortened its animation giving it the shorter one that Icy Assault's Ice Slash got, it only needed... I forget, I want to say about +40% damage to get to median value. *I'm assuming this was back when Red Tomax's site was still a thing, and I think I got my values from there, but take all of this with a grain of salt. All of this is to say that I'd love Ice Melee to get some lovin'. I'm working up an IM/IA Scrapper right now, and he's fun, but I'd love to have the problem of, "Ack, what am I taking out to put in a newly useful GIS?" 🙂 Later on, Generator

  20. Hey there, So I am really digging the change over from Force of Thunder to Dynamo for the Sustain power. I have an Elec blaster that I've been getting back into pretty heavily the past few days. I'm very happy with my choices, the only thing is that Voltaic Sentinel... (deep sigh) I tried to like it, I really did. I will say that /powexec_location makes it a lot less of a PITA to use than it was back in the day on Live, but the fact remains, having to cast that power all over again every minute is a deal breaker. So, it's out. I figure I'll just pick up another One-Slot Wonder (IDK, Invisibility to mule another LOTG?), and shift the slots over to Dynamo (which in the below is still Force of Thunder, it seems Mids doesn't have the changes yet). Apart from that, I'm okay with where I am right now. If anyone has any suggestions that aren't a total remake of the character, I'll at least hear it out! After this morning's downtime, when I get to the point of trying to select a server, the game tells me "Wrong game version, run patcher and reconnect, server 20201107_3213, client 20201006_2439" I've tried reverifying about three times and still get the error. Any of you have any idea what might be wrong? Thanks!
  23. That does look yummy, my only concerns are 1) mine was already a little more pricey than I'd hoped to make it, and this looks even more so. And 2) I'm not a fan of hopping heroes over to redside to pick up Patron pools. I'll stick with the regular APPs, for better or (in this case) worse. That said, I do appreciate the look, and I'll pore this over, see what I can use here. Thanks!
  24. Plus keep in mind that most Blasters have enough status effect capability to pacify a target, run in on them, uncork, and get back out (if the target lived and that's an issue).
