  1. Hey, I won't claim this is exactly splitting the atom here, but I made an Archery/ Tac Arrow Blaster that's shaping up to be quite good so far. He's at 26, no really any Sets built out at all yet (just Common IOs at this point). He'll be softcapped to Ranged and E/N when all is said and done, and got there without "distorting" the build (taking powers I didn't want, or slotting powers more than I wanted so that they got the needed set bonuses). If anyone sees ways to tighten this up, I'm all ears! 2. Hi there, So I finally started playing my Fire Dominator again. Got him up to 26 and wow, beaucoup fun. (We never had Sudden Acceleration in the old days, and wow is that hilarity on this power!) I figured I'd post his build, see if I could get any feedback. The one thing I really question is the snipe. I added it mainly because of the new fast-snipe rules, but when I'm fully up to speed, will I really need it? If not, I could ditch it, maybe replace with Hot Feet (IDK, never used that in the old days), and spread the slots between that and Bonfire. Any constructive criticism would really be appreciated. 3. Plus that T1 Knockback attack always reminds me of Charlie Murphy kicking Rick James across the hotel room (literally every time), so that is a solid win in my book.
  4. I've been looking this over, and any War Mace build can pretty much be carried straight into Battle Axe without much ado, right?
  5. SR scrappers don't have a taunt aura unless Homecoming changed that (but I know they put a Taunt effect onto one of toggles for Tanker SR).
  6. I'm going to reemphasize a point that seems to have been overlooked by several respondents. When I initially posted this, I was specifically looking at an attack power to skip, i.e. not Taunt or Build Up. Skipping Taunt would leave me with a power I was trying to use as a One-Slot Wonder, as that's how I usually slot Taunt. However, I think I might have my solution. As I looked at the Elec^2 who is the working base of this build, I remembered that I used to slot Power Surge with a full set of Lockdown, so as to maximize the Hold at the end of the power. As power creep has escalated and my builds have gotten tougher, I find I rarely actually use Power Surge. So, I can drop that from the build and see what that does for me. I'll work up a proper build and if I need further feedback, I'll post it. Thanks to all of you for the support!
  7. I'm like 14 right now, pretty far from "fully built". Hell, even when I hit 50 this guy will probably not be fully optimized, just the way I go with alts and builds.
  8. Thanks for the peek. If I might ask, I noticed you have neither Crushing Blow nor Follow Through. Do you not exemplar low, did you do something different at early levels, or were the two Sweeps + Lightning Field enough to get by in the teens? Thanks again.
  9. Cool, if you've got a build, I'd love to take a peek. 😁
  10. Thanks so much for the replies so far. To give a little detail: I started a TW/Elec brute today. No real plans for him, not intended as a max-performance, or farmer build, but just someone to smash the crap out of the Rogue Isles. Now, I don't have a Mids build for this, but I do have an old Elec/Elec build. If my starting point is to just swap out the primary, I have to lose one attack power, as on the Elec, I passed on Lightning Clap. So I have to ditch one attack (for purposes of this exercise, Taunt and Build Up aren't "attack powers"). All three of the one Zeraphia mentions are powers I've currently got, so I'll have to do a Respec down the line to ditch something. Thanks again, people! Anyone else with advice, I'm happy to hear it. Generator

  15. I've gotten mine up to almost 27 now. Having the insta-capable Zapp and Voltaic Sentinel are helping quite a bit (I've got a popmenu for deploying both Voltaic and Galvanic Sentinels, and a separate key bound to make Gal my target). I'll freely admit I have no plan for the guy's actual build, and this freestyling approach is driving me batty. Will this be going into Mids any time soon, do we know? Later.
  16. I'm not sure how big a deal this is, but it'd be great if Gal could be a little more, let's call it "dedicated to keeping up with me." It seems like awfully frequently, I'll go to bounce a Circuit power off her, and she's hell and gone from where I'm standing. Close enough to take the buff, but way too far away to bounce it back to me.
  17. Then just try it on the Test Server, and make yourself an insta-50.
  18. I have a Stone/Bio Brute on whom I am almost certainly gonna slap a few copies of this IO in, just as soon as I figure out the slots.
  19. In its basic form, you'd do something like /macro GS pet_select 0 That would put a grey macro button on your tray, named "GS", and pressing said button would execute that command. The 0 parameter gets the first pet in your pet windows; if you have multiple pets, this part might need some refinement (like, if you've also got Lore pets or something like that).
  20. Tex, I can't recall. I know I can use "/target_name galvanic sentinel" to pick up Gal. but that has the tiny wrinkle that she has to be in my field of view. Any chance you know a command that will force it to pick up my pet, regardless of whether it's on screen or not? TIA either way 🙂 Generator EDIT: a perusal of ParagonWiki revealed the pet_select command, which works like a charm whether the pet is on-screen or not. 🙂
  21. Chin up, man. The Galvanic Sentinel can accept the chain powers, so when solo, you can bounce stuff off your Gal (it's what I was doing today). And as for your point about MMs, I seem to recall on the Beta threads, they said if you targeted a pet with the initial Chain, the bounces would give preference to pets, and ditto for players. So you've got some control over it if that holds up. All in all, not as doomy as you fear.
  22. I did, but only got him as far as 12. What about you, what do you think of it so far? Later on, Generator
  23. I appreciate your taking the time to read, but that doesn't do much to help me toward an answer.
