  1. It doesn't even need six. Slot to max out the Regen, rely on its baseline Recov boost, bada bing, done.
  2. @Nemu, Dynamo is doing everything it ever did as a damage aura toggle in its previous incarnation as Lightning Field. Its big change is that the +Regen/Recov that had been in Force of Thunder got moved here. And I for one welcome this. Force of Thunder was a damned ungainly way to use one's Sustain power, this is tons better. Thanks Devs! 👍
  3. So far my only feedback is that I'm not crazy about the name of the secondary effect. We fight a wide variety of foes for whom it would make little sense that they were given a migraine. In lieu of that, maybe "Resonance"? Either way, love what seeing do far!
  4. Hey there, I can't seem to find any of my old builds for Ice Armor Tanks, and I'm looking to slap something together for my SJ/IceA Scrapper. Can I copy someone's homework here? 🙂 Thanks. Later on, Generator EDIT: just to try and lay out some general cost principles, let's say... no purples, I avoid PVP pieces in general, unless we're talking about one-off pieces here and there (like the special pieces of Panacea or Gladiator's Armor). ATOs are pricey but I'll go for it. In general I'm hoping any given power will at least be functional in the time when I don't have the Set pieces in it and have to rely on common IOs. Hope that helps!
  5. Hmm, so my first attempt at putting together the various pieces of advice in this thread came out looking like below. It ended up soft-capped against S/L/E, which, given that I wasn't really looking to do that, felt okay. Feedback? 6. That's always been my understanding of the power as well.
  7. I have a tendency to slap the debuff toggles on a target, then run right up on them, and have my robots work over the room while no one can do squadooch thanks to the mix of holds + debuffs. So yeah, CC is on my "keep it" list. 🙂
  8. The ATO sets are probably the upper bound of what I'd do on a pricing standpoint. Many thanks to all for the feedback presented so far. I'll be doing my best to incorporate it all into an actual build. 🙂
  9. Hey folks, So I've finally gotten my first Homecoming-era MM going. He's Robots/Radiation; the subject line wasn't a trick 😄. I've gotten him up to almost 28, so far going on just common IOs. I've got a plan for getting up to about 35 or so, as outlined below. Anyone got any suggestions for how to finish this out, from the standpoints of both leveling choices and Sets to use for the finished product? Let's say the only real restriction is no purple pieces, or anything else that's similarly a bank-breaker. 10. Dang, I logged in yesterday for the first time in a while, was a little worried when I saw it didn't take my password. Here's hoping "at some point" is sooner than later!
  11. Hey, So I got my newest Brute up to 50, and I'm having a hell of a time with her (hat tip to @Frostweaver for encouragement/inspiration given in build). I've got all of her Incarnate abilities up to T3, except for Hybrid. This slot always seems to baffle me. I never really got a handle on it when the game was live, I figured, "Ehh, there'll be time for that." Little did we know, eh? My top two contenders are either Assault, or hell, maybe Control, given the number of times I seem to send guys staggering away with my mace. Anyone got any thoughts? Does Assault have a noticeable effect when you're rocking a full Fury Bar? And how on earth am I supposed to tell whether I want Core or Radial there? Thanks so much. Best Brute

I'm curious, do you think an Ice Armor Brute gets more mileage out of Hibernate than a Scrapper does from Icy Bastion? I've got a Savage/Ice lowbie sitting in the figurative green room, and when it came time to decide Brute v Scrapper, I ended up flipping a coin. It came up Scrapper. 😁
  13. Can't recall, are Sorrows the Rad guys? If so I usually do that as is.
  14. @Heraclea, I largely agree with your assessment. Only point of difference is that I found the BP to far and away be the biggest PITAs in Dark Astoria. 😁
  15. I only just saw the bit about Boggle. @Heraclea, I'm like >< that close to speccing out of it on Scarlet. If it was longer range, or shorter animation, maybe. But as it is the most I can say for it is that it takes the Malaise's set for decent bonuses. Some time soon I'll respec, at which time sayonara Boggle, bonjour Laser Beam Eyes.
  16. Hey, You know how Task Forces & Strike Forces get codenames that usually relate to the contact that gives the missions? Anyone know any of the names given to the Morty SF? Thanks, Generator
  17. I just recently got myself into the habit of turning on Dual Insp drops from P2W, I'll have to make a point of trying out Team ones as well. Thanks for the food for thought.
  18. Hi everyone, So I'm finally getting around to building (re-building) my Mastermind from the Live servers. He was Robots/Poison. Build is linked below; this is a very rough first draft from like, 2011-ish, so I know, a lot of stuff needs to be filled out, and has beaucoup room for improvement. Before I get to it with him, I have a few questions. 1. I never took the last two Poison powers back in the day. Noxious Gas just didn't work well for Robot pets, and I could swear that back then, Poison Trap was a sleep for MMs back then. But looking now, nope, I'm seeing a Hold. If it never was, hell, I'm happy to be wrong, and I'll work that into the build. 2. I need to recreate my popmenus! I used to have a setup for summons and upgrades, and then a second one to cover petcoms. (I only ever used one command set for petcom_all, I never broke it down between Drone/Prot-Bots/Ass-Bot.) I had the popmenu set up as "two-tiered," in the sense that I think the popmenu's first tier had Aggressive/Defensive/Passive, then selecting each of those opened a second popmenu of Attack/Follow/Goto. I'm sure someone has something similar already set up, can you help a robot out? 🙂 EDIT: with no small amount of trial and error, I got the popmenus working the way I wanted, so huzzah. 🙂 More later, Generator color=#FF0000]Villain Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.7[/color] https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 19. Atlas Plaza gets me right here, every time. My preference is for the version from Galaxy City, though. 😁
  20. In one of the older editions of the RPG Mutants and Masterminds, one of the main heroes was precisely this. I want to say his name was Doctor Metropolis. Although IIRC, he wasn't so much a person tapping into that spirit, as he was that spirit itself, taking human form.
  21. Sure, I get the general case, I do that all the time myself. But those numbers sounded a little high, is all.
  22. I'm not disputing that but could you break down where the money comes from there? Also, why does the Abyss one have a higher yield? Thanks.
  23. You get double Influence at 50, so does everyone else. They therefore have more influence to throw at purples. The 100m set you've been lustily eyeing now costs 200m. You are effectively no closer to your goal.
