  1. From my limited experience echoing some points above: * You totally want +- DEF/ToHit in team * ... failing that, everyone (and pets even more) hit rate is abysmal * ... failing that, pets even at 60% DEF will get ganked in one hit * ... failing that, cycling barrier is an easy cheat code for defense side instead * Pets need to be/resummon far from brawl or they'll get oneshot by Cims Cones/PBAoEs * Bodyguard is great but won't save you in a straight fight. It helps with AoEs. You can just avoid AoEs. * Pets in Dwarves Mires seem to skyrocket ToHit and provide a quick hospital ticket discount * Flaky DEF aside, pets get oneshot by Lts routinely if they roam - they can't tank anything My conclusion remains the same: If you're gonna play a team utility char with low offensive capability and huge reliance on team utility (due to pet shortcomings) ... well sure you can play it safe and it's not impossible, but why wouldn't you want an actual defender instead ?
  2. I don't know about that. Defenders can be very useful. So even a discount defender isn't completely useless. It's pointless, however...
  3. I'm still baffled anyone thinks that this extra shift is going to do literally anything for that situation. First, this changes nothing for the T3 pet. Second, it's only a ~20% difference for T1 pets which will still get oneshot anyway. Hello, anybody home ? This problem runs much deeper than that. Between the ToHit negating Defense cheese, and rampant AoEs, you could make them level 55 and they'd still get absolutely REKT.... While still buffing enemy warshades
  4. That's also my conclusion after a fail run try of Invincible ITF : playing a Mastermind amounts to a worse defender with pets utility. Problem is from my understanding, beyond the pets survivability, they also tend to be liability due to things like Dwarves Mires. More targets to hit means they get buffed more. I believe the Mires include +ToHit so it's a good ticket to accidental wipes for just existing. This and many other things in that vein are just conceptual problems with game, amped up by Hard Mode. Everything that is unfair to everyone in higher hard modes and solved by crutches, simply become near unsolvable stacked with pets problems. If you think giving level shift is going to change this, you're probably vastly underestimating the issue.
  5. Likely related and with repro steps
  6. Also the case in Attack the Carnival of Shadows map further down, which also takes place in St Martial
  7. Mr. G first arc missions (Shake off Pursuers, Steal a Vanguard helicopter) take place on open-world St Martial map and will have the BenevoLabs ad play repeatedly in NPC chat during the whole mission. I'd assume this happens on all St Martial derived maps, but only witnessed in these two so far. This is especially puzzling given that both mission map locations are really nowhere close to the Vault!
  8. NOoOOOooooo Why, why move the Crucible to Mercy ? This was perfect, now I need to go to an obscure unused zone and bear with the annoying big walls. 😞 That aside, I'm really hyped by the idea.
  9. Bit late reply, but from what I saw this is not a pet problem -- the navmesh around the cell doors is just screwed. If you push pets over the doorway they'll sometimes manage to go through. The same goes for enemies as far as I could see.

    Props to MMs

I use something similar to what Nemu said personally Desarix mentioned something critically important regarding bodyguard so i'll take liberty of saying it again. TL;DR:, Pets in 'Aggressive Stance' or 'Defensive Stance, Attack target order' don't protect you! So you want to be conservative when it comes to attack order. I personally switch stance separately. A MM with bodyguard hits about the best mitigation in the game, but without it, you might as well reverse that... 'Defensive Follow' is good as panic key for all sorts of situations, be it protection, or keeping them from making a mess. If there's one useful bind, it's clearly this.
  11. Goldbrickers were pretty original, color scheme aside, i believe Also just wanted to drop by seeing this thread still "active", for quick feedback I love invades, ran leagues for ~36h on Reunion. Loved the discovery, memories, joke enemies, social aspect, teaming with people. Stopped because I knew it was gonna get old, and lasting this long, it sure did, worse than i thought It hit me like a truck seeing pop count and LFG activity in the last few days, which i'm pretty sure were long time record lows (saw 31 near end on Reunion, there's usually min 45-50 during night downtime) Wasn't just me, talked to people that were pretty much just waiting for it to end to do anything So this is my plea, please keep running events like this, it's real fun one-shots even without having to put in hundreds of hours balancing, But also, please don't run something like 10X XP over more than 2-3 days, because it just ends up deleting everything else Of course it's easier to say after-the-fact, but for that same reason, I have to voice this. Still, thanks a lot for the event, that was way more than I was expecting, and refreshing!
  12. It's easy to dehumanize things to oblivion when it comes to fanbase reactions - I do volunteer dev'ing for a smaller stupid fangame and i found out that if I just had one single hot word to highlight in casual conversation to spot things that players will think important - it's "they". "They" haven't fixed this, "They" are not nerfing this/that, etc. There's some kind of problem and it is (supposedly) out of your reach, it must be "their" fault ! It's doubly frustrating when stumbling on this randomly but it's stuff that never was actually brought up. And no matter how much people faces you try to put forward, it's always "they" when you can't quite tell who caused the problem. It's something I came to witness that way but pretty sure you can see it on just about every online community to an extent... ... Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna wish said broken community's state of ambient grumbling on anyone, but I really think this is something that should be balanced out with critical thinking. You can't simply avoid important issues just because it might make someone unhappy - if you feel like you have to, it's all the more reasons to talk about it. Of course, both are neither exclusive nor fully overlapping... So my take is that the important part is to ensure it's brought up properly, and not just toxic background noise and anger... Cool it down, process it, think it over, get it across, and make it useful.
  13. Same as the one i waste most of my time on (MM)... Why 47 specifically ?
  14. Edit: Post "deleted". I jumped the gun accidentally, but this thread really is not about insps and this whole discussion doesn't belong here
  15. I came here to basically say what macskull did. Don't put as much thorough thinking into precise in-game wording as you might in some games with similar building complexity. The game power wording and info routinely confounds ToHit and AccMod in particular when they're nothing alike. Other obvious contenders include debuff resistance and secondary buffs. Then there's a couple powers that are blatantly wrong, misleading or incomplete even in power details. An easy example is Barrier Destiny which lists only full resist buffs but not def.
  16. I got absolutely no experience with Demon/Dark but here's some minor things with slotting i could suggest: * Summon Demons are slotted with Reactive Armor, which caps out to level 40. Using Titanium Coating which scales to 50 instead lets you gain +0.5% extra resist, at the cost of switching the 1.5% S/L to Energy/Neg (i'd say that's a gain too, but YMMV). * Potentially same for Shadow Fall * IMO Tactics +ToHit is really worth investing a slot or two in due to pet horrid hit mechanics in general
  17. Base boundary checking removal, MM pets phasing, MM pets ranged AI, Power Tray cooldowns Edit: Technically first two of these are SCoRE not Homecoming I think, but well..
  18. I can confirm that having to compulsively check it due to lack of notification is embarrassing.
  19. Depends what you call by "boss" - because I would argue Old-School Challenge LRSF final Freedom Phalanx fight with Statesman to be a pretty cool contender
  20. Mostly agree with above post. To add my own 2inf if we're talking about "average usefulness": - For general purpose play: 1. Defense Amplifier Mez Prot 2. Judgement/Lore gg clearing 3. Inspirations insane buffs in general 5. Other incarnates 6. Empowerment Base Buffs have useful buffs to push this further 7. Amplifiers in general for other aspects - For generically "challenging" situations (assuming these are available) 1. Defense Amplifier especially if needing Mez Prot 2. Lore and/or Inspirations for burst cheesing tough situations 3. Mail for getting more inspirations 4. Problem Solving and Teamplay 5. Absolutely any and everything else That Point 4 is by far the best, and the ONLY one you ACTUALLY need, but it's unfortunately sometimes harder to achieve than clicking buttons at P2W vendor..
  21. I just do both when leading, and often ask again as joiner under any such circumstances if I somehow didn't get info in LFG/etc. Don't mind the information not being optimally available, I however expect you to understand that I might sometimes try to get it anyway by trying a bit more. On a handful very, very rare occasions ended up in situations eg no public reply + no tell reply + no re-tell reply + person getting mad out of the blue on 3rd tell, and i'm sure a lot of people find me nagging in general -- but despite so many things i feel bad about, it's not part of that list! If anything, the overall failure through lack of communication/reaction far surpasses the reverse problem. When something unexpected or awkward happens, socially, ingame, teaming, or otherwise - ignoring it and blindly pressing W is not a solution and just leads to more awkwardness and failure... In doubt, speak up, especially in a (supposedly) social context, like LFG. You obviously can't expect anyone to care all the time, but hopefully there's still always someone who does, and others can respect it.
  22. Random thought but I didn't see ASF mentioned here as an alternative, since OP's wording seemed to suggest actually wanting the Hami-Os more than the content itself. DSOs also come with more combinations, though I don't know if that raises or decreases overall value  ... On other note please indeed totally 9001% destroy mail/items (and AH in open-world) claiming at least within TF missions... I've used and abused it and similar for testing and clearly this should at the very least not be an in-combat option - you'd think this is a nobrainer. Inspirations are already super potent, at least get out of combat/mission to get op buffs for next 5 minutes, i don't know...
  23. FWIW i routinely use forward:15 for that purpose I can however confirm from previous testing that mouse "pointing" range appears to be limited until it "hits" air (related to mouse targeting range? past some point you can't click things, even though they're targetable) - and zooming / camera angle plays a role in that
  24. Alright, thanks for the heads up 👍
