A missed opportunity: The Slav Squat
Skyhawke replied to mechahamham's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Rule of thumb at the gym is any exercise with an Eastern European name at the front of it can and will kill you, which makes them the best ones. Squat on, Skulls! -
Every team nowadays (including my guy Pyroslinger!)
Skyhawke replied to Lightslinger's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, but all those skyrockets are a delight in the afternoon! -

That also goes for the MSRs. If someone puts out a "all levels welcome" MSR in the LFG chat, then someone like @Ukase knows to steer clear. On the flip side, if you join an "all levels welcome" or "35+ welcome" team it's on you if you get miffed at how things are going. Upfront communication is key as well as understanding what said communication entails.

Cut the filler from the Synapse TF (spoilers)
Skyhawke replied to Psi-bolt's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I've always thought that Blue Steel should give the Clockwork King TF, Manticore take the Council one, Synapse goes after Crey and have Citadel as a trainer in Galaxy (now the west side of Atlas) instead of the Back Alley Brawler and have BAB as the trainer in KIngs Row. At least from a lore standpoint. -
I thought "Hardcore mode" was grabbing Snarky, the two of you jumping into a PUG Posi 1 and beelining for the steps when his back's turned?

Ok, I'll feed the algorithm. Server technology has advanced since DAoC and COH. Those three red dots don't mean "Danger! Danger! Server explosion imminent!". It's just saying there a lot of people on at the moment. Nobody's screwing the playerbase or game at large by fist slamming the AE floor for hours on end. As with sooooo many things that aren't harming anyone in this world, if it bothers you move along. Or ignore it. Or go to an AE in another zone. Lots of ways around it other than calling for an iron fisted rule to come slamming down (see what I did there?) on the players who aren't harming anyone.

Man, AI bots are getting testy lately...

The latest update to xbox has a splash page/hub for a game when you start it. If you're like me and find it annoying and just want the game to start when you select it, I found how to turn it off.

Finally finished Persona 3 Reload (and Episode Aigis) and clocked over a hundred hours. Definitely got my money's worth.

Pimp Mastermind (to go with the pimp hat I keep asking for) Send out women and men in risque outfits to make that chedda...um, fight or perpetrate crime. Secondary attacks would be Pimp Slap (melee/smashing), Cane Whip (cone melee/smashing) and Bust a Cap (ranged/lethal). Totally family friendly and what could possibly go wrong with it?

Cut the filler from the Synapse TF (spoilers)
Skyhawke replied to Psi-bolt's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Synapse always feels like a double edged sword to me. On one hand, if you get on a good team it can be done in @45 minutes and for the number of merits (50?) you get, it's well worth it. Especially if it's the WST. On the other hand, a mediocre or worse team will make that TF very very painful and long. I've seen both sides of the coin and every time I've had the "They need to shorten this" thought, I remember the flip side and go back to "Meh, it's fine" train of thought. If it was shortened, though, definitely lower the merits accordingly. -
Ice Melee/Electric Armor Brute. In Praetoria, I was a god almost from the get go and as I leveled it only got better. Good hp? Check. Full energy resists (what's Praetoria's favorite damage type?) before level 10? Check. Ice Patch to stop ambushes (heh) cold? Check. Once I finally left Night Ward, the high faded to just being pretty good...but man, in Praetoria that build was unstoppable.

I googled "cottage rule", got the following AI definition and now I really want a cupcake from a church bake sale... In Virginia, the "cottage rule" refers to the Cottage Food Law, which allows individuals to produce and sell certain non-perishable, homemade foods directly to consumers without needing a commercial kitchen permit. This law provides an exemption from standard food establishment regulations for specific types of food items.
