What Happened To The Puking Guy In Pocket D?

Someone's obviously never fought a chicken. Much less 100 of them.

-20% accuracy, +30% absorb, possibility to mez enemies or yourself

So I was running a character through the Galaxy City tutorial and for some reason it hit me...what happens to Officer Daniels? He's the guy on the radio moving you along and gets cut off with static right as you get to the Longbow safe zone. Aaaaaand that's it. He just vanishes. The wiki just says he's in the tutorial and that's it. Would love to see him added in a future update, even if just as an easter egg somewhere.

Human Only, jack of all trades Peacebringer. Had one on live and loved it. Just got him to 50 today. Solo is roooough til I get some sets slotted in, but on a team I can blast, nuke, scrap, tank for a couple minutes, heal in a pinch and even throw out a pbaoe hold. Am i great at anything? Nooooooo. Is it still fun to play. Yep.

Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #25: Animations
Skyhawke replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
Knockout Blow is still one of my all time favorite animations. It just looks like it should: that old school, Popeye winding the fist move followed by someone going flying into the air. Chefs kiss! The staff fighting animations are just so slick to watch. Least favorite? Probably the ragdoll physics itself. I've just stood still and watched a body twitch and distort and while amusing, it's 1. unnerving and 2. is just too much. I punched you in the face and you're out cold...why is your waist turned into a bow and your arms where your face goes? -
I was on a kill most ITF yesterday with the team being a corrupter (the leader), a mastermind, a blaster, 3 controllers , a dominator and me on my main (a brute). First mission in and the leader suddenly calls for mobs to be herded for nuking purposes. Cool, no problem. I start pulling a group along to another and suddenly notice that I can't see myself for all the angry guys swarming me. Again, no problem, I can handle it...but where was the boom? I was promised an earth shattering boom. Turns out everyone was chicken with their head offing it, blasting anything (except the horde I had) that moves. Ok. Finish my mob, catch up and try again. Aaaand it's just a repeating cycle with the leader just as guilty as the rest. Fine. We get to the mission with the dark crystals and it's destroy, on to the next without a worry. Except I saw the incoming ambush and intercepted it. While I'm finishing off a cyclops, here comes another ambush. Then another. I then wondered if further in the cave, someone was wondering where the ambushes were. The blaster (I could hear the dual pistols) and eventually someone else (couldn't see, angry dudes in togas and armor everywhere) came back to help during the second ambush. One said in Local "Hold the door!", which made me chuckle. My story's nowhere near as bad as Snarkys is, but I did stick it out, got my double merits, money and Incarnate fixins. Plus, like Snarky, I came out with a good story...and I love a good story.

The powerset you'd love, but you know will never be implemented
Skyhawke replied to SteelR4t's topic in General Discussion
Web control. (Blame Coldplay for the "Spider-Man with his control" lyric) Have two animations for either organic (think pointy/controlly animations) or gadget (like web grenades or a web blasting gun). Everything but the tier 9 would be standard control type powers with holds, maybe toxic damage and things like webs on the floor as well as eebson people. I'm just not 100% on what the tier 9 would be unless a big ole spider (either organic or mechanical). Dominators could get some ranged web attacks that do toxic damage as well as some melee attacks like webbed up fists for smashing damage. -
Finally getting around to getting the beneficial accolades on my villain and the Born in Battle one requires the Adamant badge which states "take 1,000,000 in damage". Now, as a Tanker, there's no way I haven't taken a ton of damage by now...but it's usually mitigated by rad armor absorption. Is the absorb field screwing with my getting the badge or am I loonier than usual?

A collapse in the market also lowers the game playability
Skyhawke replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion
Something, something, Capitalism, something, something, greed, something, something, exaggerated expectations, something, something, they ruin their own experience. That being said, 500k, no waiting, no refunds. -

From the Horus wiki page: "In the final battle with the 5th Column and Requiem, Horus and War Witch did not survive. War Witch's final act was to bring the Kheldian within Horus' body as well as the survivor Apex into the covenspace for the last time. There was nothing left of Horus - only the Kheldian remained, who left on a new mission to awaken the other sleeping Kheldians, but not before leaving Apex with a promise that they would some day meet again. " I'd love to see the Kheldian "Horus" return. He'd make a great Paul Revere to come rolling in saying "The Battlion are coming, the Batallion are coming!" as the way to kick off getting the Coming Storm going.

I'm beginning to wonder if folks are bringing back ancient threads just to mess with Greycat...😶....😏....hmmm. On topic, I love gold side as a litmus test for builds. It's like New York: if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

As others have said, definitely ask questions. I've played this game from the beta waaaay back on through today with some months taken off from time to time. I still don't know what people are talking about sometimes. The acronyms, oh the acronyms. For the longest time, I thought the Miss Liberty Task Force was someone talking about MILFs in the looking for group chat. I ask questions, especially on things that I know the team will be depending on me for. Most will be more than happy to help and the ones that don't...find a better team. Also, for a ranged character, be careful about just "hanging out in the back"...ambushes love stragglers. <cough>Positron part 1<cough> The Help channel can be a place to hit up for, well, help. On the chat window, you'll see tabs labeled things like "combat" or "local". These are customizable all the way down to their titles. Right click on and select "new tab". Label it Help and only select the Help channel. Bingo bango, you've got a channel you can hit solely for help that won't clutter up any of your other channels.

Like most things, the influx has been a double edged sword for me. I've had interactions with people who've never played the game before and I've given advice, influence and teamed with them some to help them along. Then, on the other hand, one time I had a person spamming LFG asking for help with something and being ignored. I sent them a /tell and helped them with the issue...and found a new shadow. Like Fatal Attraction kinda shadow. Constant /tells...I mean, constant. I even asked if they could take their questions to the Help channel and told them how to use that. More /tells. At one point, I got "hey, I just joined your guild!" I didn't know people could randomly join your SG?!?! I kicked them and /ignored them, but it definitely weirded me out. A needle in the haystack to be sure and it doesn't stop me from helping still, but there are some rather interesting folks out there.
