Defenders don't have access to Boost Range...that's one possibility...
But also it might simply have been that Blasters do so much more damage it was deemed unfair for them to have such high range. Might even have been because of PvP.
But it also got a completely new power. Now people may choose not to use that new power, but to refuse to use it and then base your opinion on the new set without it's tier 9 is not really making a valid argument.
On the minimap in the door mission in Breakout I can still see "Disable Ouroboros Portals" as if it was a mob.
The mission did complete correctly, though, so that's good!
The way it appears (I know NOTHING about how the code works) is as though my client is incapable of calculating when a surface exists beyond a certain distance, but still is aware of the geometry.
Yeah, something like that.
I move the target gradually away from me, and at a certain point it disappears and appears next to me instead, and then when I’ve moved far enough so that there’s no geometry in the way it is then at its max range and I can go in that direction.
Difficult to explain without actually showing someone who is standing there in front of my computer.
The thumbtack on the minimap is just a little Northwest of my position, but where the NAV says it is is WAAAAAAY off on the other side of the island? wth?
I don’t understand what you mean. Are you saying switching alignments causes a problem with the LRTP?
edit: oh I get it. Yes, if you use LRTP to get to pocket d to change alignment then you either need to use the base portal or wait or leave normally or use some other teleport.
Since there’s a base portal right there it doesn’t seem like a big issue.
This exists on the Live servers and has Always been a problem, so I don't honestly know if it's something that can be fixed.
With Boost Range and Range slotted in Teleport there is a "No Go Zone" that is, a range at which you cannot target onto surfaces to successfully teleport. When you move the cursor to this area and there is geometry there, the Teleport reticle appears at your own location and you TP in place rather than going as far as possible in that direction. I had hoped this Beta's changes would fix this but alas they did not.
As an Energy Manipulation Blaster with Boost Range and Range slotted in Teleport I am finding that I still get "Teleported in Place" fairly frequently, when trying to TP long distances among buildings. Probably not much can be done, but it is definitely still an issue.
All I'm saying is that the design of all blasters forces you to either close to use certain abilities or (the other way of looking at it) wait for your enemies to close to use certain abilities. That has always been true. The immobilizes are among those abilities.
