  1. I so wished I could take Ice or Fire and do nothing but blades. I wished we had more than one version of a melee set. Fire melee for my tanker is three ST attacks and two AoEs. Add in BU and Taunt. I skip the T1 and Fire Breath due to the animation. I used Fire Breath early as that was my second 'ST' attack until I got to 28. So much AoE damage early. Soloing was easy.
  2. Also, someone posted a Beam/rad build in June. I don't consider that a LONG time ago.
  3. I don't recall Rad really being changed for Sents so that old build might be a solid starting point. I don't know what primary you are looking for either. To be honest, Rad has one power difference to other versions of Rad and that's really only the damage aspect of it. It shouldn't be that difficult to parse together a build and then post it here for review. The Sent forum is on the slower side, so builds will likely be on the older side. I went looking for one and didn't see it at all. I still figured out a build for it though.
  4. Rad has two other AoEs. If you aren't a Brute, the damage aura isn't fueled by Fury or Crits. Tankers at least get the bigger AoEs, but I can see a Scrapper wanting to use it since it can Crit or even triggering the Scrapper +Change to Crit so something else does hit for more.
  5. In the day and age of people working from home, there is zero surprise with the movement towards AFK gaming.
  6. AoE which sets up mobs being contaminated? I know many dislike cones in the game. I have it on my Rad/bio Brute, but I honestly could do a new build on it, but I lack the energy to redo a build which I've essentially moved on from.
  7. I'm not arguing for Bucky being an A-Lister. I'm arguing against him being classified as a D-Lister.
  8. A T1 attack can likely be skipped even if left out via a later respec. I would plan around 3-4 Single target attacks. I'm not sure if there are ever too many AoE attacks to take, but some might not be worthwhile. I seek out guides for powersets and see how far that can get me in a build. I will look at builds where I know the poster has put a genuine effort in playing it and refining the build. Anytime someone posted an updated build lets me know they are putting in the effort to make the build as good as possible. If you take the time and effort to post a build, odds are people will chime in for what changes you could make.
  9. What a weird standard to have for a character which has been around for decades, who's name was literally a subtitle for one of the MCU's better reviewed movies, and said film pulled in over 700 million worldwide. I'm not saying he's on the Avengers or X-Men level, but incredibly few are.
  10. Depending on the AT and how long you are willing to wait, ATOs can be had for 7-7.5 mill.
  11. Bucky, aka The Winter Solider did in fact have his own comic.
  12. The only difference between +0 and +4 is the amount of currency gained outside of it being more difficult. In terms of drops ie salvage, recipes etc, you want x8. I only bump up the diff setting in terms of +# as I get further into Incarnates. For me, +3 is where stuff starts to get hard depending on the AT and build plus the actual content. Certain Contacts are absolute build checks.
  13. T4 is to get max level on your characters in terms of Incarnates. Even if you farm Heather's arc, it is going to take some time. Lets say you get to T4 on a build, you could easily be Vet Level 25. That's 25 more levels of play at the highest XP requirement for leveling. I played a ton on Live. I've played quite a bit on HC. I essentially know what works for me. I have roughly 35 characters. Roughly 20 of them are Level 50. My standard is do I even want to get them to Level 50? Do I want to invest in getting them to T4? Do I even what to IO out their builds? If I take a long break from the game, what builds do I first play? Hundreds of builds have failed the first requirement. Even very meta builds. I'm at least fine with getting something to 50 and retiring it. Even if you want to skip on Incarnates, I would still play a 50 to earn more drops. I also do builds in Mids and then import them to Beta to see how they perform. That defaults to +0x8 on solo friendly builds. If I don't like it, I don't roll it on an active server. I'm at the point I want characters I'm genuinely excited about their name and look along with how they play. My todo 'list' so far is doing a TW/invul Scrapper since I've never rolled either.
  14. I use converters to actually convert things as the return is actually better. Recently started having my Level 50s get the Banker Day Job badge for the 25% increase. I don't pound the market like I used to, but simply playing a Level 50 is pretty good low effort for earning extra currency. At one point my goal was a to make any character self-sufficient only to get tired of it when I had other characters sitting in the hundreds of millions, and they weren't even my main marketer, who was handing out billions to other characters. I have non farming builds who can solo at x8 and currently have at least one purple sitting and waiting to be crafted. My TL;DR guide to making money is T4 a build.
  15. I do a respec at 27 since the vast majority if not all of the non-Level 50 IOs can be slotted at that point. I use set IOs up to that point. Either the typical one offs or uncommons. Post respec, I can then go and dump the extras in my base for the next character who needs them. I just don't see the point of slotting SOs. I know they early on have better numbers, but they are a financial waste when I have uncommons I don't need to touch after slotting until I do a respec. Also, my soloing Gold side Brute has yet to fall at Level 24. On Live and early on HC, I used common IOs exclusively.
  16. Yeah, but we're just trolls who post on a forum for a dead game we don't play.
  17. What AT are you? I have two Scrapper SRs at 50, and working on a Brute SR as well. I also have a StJ/ea Stalker at 50. I see you are a Bute. I can give you a sample build hopefully soon enough.
  18. Crushing Uppercut. It is available at Level 26. I also won't 6-slot a T1 attack that early. I would invest more in other powers. An argument can be made to not even take Initial Strike. By 27 you have enough attacks to skip out on some.
  19. I slot 1-2 Acc depending if it is a ST or AoE attack, 1 End, 3 Damage, and possibly a Recharge in that order. SR literally gives you +20% Recharge. You're Level 27 and you don't have CU? WTF? There's also zero need to slot Brawl. To add, you get respects as you level. I have only used unslotters when I was already 50, and switching in a single set or 1-2 IOs.
  20. Shield is a 'S' tier armor set for a Tanker. Fire has the fastest clear times. And yes, I went Musculature. I honestly couldn't think of any other Alpha which did enough for me to pick it. The build is currently at T3. Enhancement side I will go back and tweak it some more before I call it good. I have a Shield/wm, and it just feels slow compared to the /fire, but that needs to be tweaked as well. My Dark/shield is one of my next two to get to T4.
  21. You were so toxic to two player bases you felt the need to leave both. This is what I like to call a 'You problem.'
  22. If you aren't willing to change your behavior, then you are wasting not only your time, but others. Also, you are going to make another account even when you are tapped out for making new characters? Some people really just don't know when to quit do they? Again, why are you here? If it's still fun, then you really should stop dumping on something you enjoy. LotR was never to my knowledge killed off. That's why it continues to get added expansions. CoH also gets added content or have you just simply ignored all of the Issues and Pages added from the HC team? It truly is amazing how bad you are at making your point.
  23. From ATs I have at 50. Defender: I somehow don't have one at 50 on HC, but I had numerous ones on Live. I'm likely most excited about getting my Cold/water to 50. On Live, I might say Rad/sonic. Controller: Ill/dark. Nuff said. There are others, and more so if you include ones from Live, but this is my 'holy grail' type of any map soloing on whatever diff setting I feel like. Live? Earth/storm or Ill/rad. Blaster: Water/temp. Only one I have at 50. I recently rolled a DP/ma and that's been fun. Scrapper: Dark and Claws paired with /sr and /shield. Tanker: Shield/fire. I wanted to min/max the defensive and offensive sides of things. It's funny it took me to so long to get a Tanker finally to 50, and yet I feel zero need to get another one to 50. Corruptor: Fire/dark. I need a build for it, but this is currently my only Level 50 Corr. I got a Fire/kin waiting in the wings. Dom: I never got one to 50. The most fun was a Plant/fire who died in a hardcore SG. Brute: Ice/stone, but my BA/stone is right there. I just need to T4 them, and see. I also have a Savage/sr I'm working on. Stalker: StJ/ea for nostalgia. Ice/stone for just how good it is. MM: Bots/traps. I have a love/hate relationship with the AT, but I have a soft spot for this combo. EATs: Fort. The versatility and getting a Top 3/Top 5 at worst name likely sealed the deal.
  24. I just logged on Excel which you play on. We are talking 3:43pm on a Monday. I saw four messages in LFG in 20 seconds. Have you tried not having the most popular server having you on their ignore list?
